Selling journalists any truth for your money. Udo Ulfkotte "Corrupt Journalists"

I was asked to read a book by the German journalist Udo Ulfkotte, Corrupt Journalists. It is quite large, almost 500 pages. Sent in email. Barely made it through the day.

Of course, what happened next. I had to sit down to write an article about the fate of quality journalism in the market. Actually, my article is an attempt to reflect on what I read. And there is something to think about.

This German is ruthless. He frankly shows the wrong side of our profession, and starts with himself, repenting that he himself once “fell into a trap”, became corrupt through and through, played by the rules of manipulators from power spheres and special services. Here are some phrases from the book:

  • "I was a lackey."
  • "You can get a journalist for less than a good whore, for just a couple of hundred dollars a month."
  • "The profession of a journalist occupies an intermediate place between the professions of a politician and a prostitute."
  • "Media workers are a particularly money-hungry group."
  • "Quality media choke on their own vomit."

He cites hundreds of names of his colleagues who sold out - to publishers, sponsors, politicians, intelligence agencies. His sentence is merciless: freedom of speech and thought exists only on paper, the paper press is dying, no one trusts journalists anymore.

After reading this book, you experience a state of shock. I want to change my profession right now.

Much of it is true. But you can't agree on anything. And generally speaking…

Tomorrow the article will be published in RG.

You ask: what is the conclusion? Well, something like this:

If you go up to the fourth floor of the building on Zubovsky Boulevard, where the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation is located, then there, at the end of the corridor, on the wall you will see portraits of my colleagues who died in recent years, one might say, "in the line of duty." More than three hundred photographs.

They were killed precisely because they were not corrupt, did not go against their conscience, but honestly performed their professional duty.

Correspondents of well-known federal TV channels and employees of modest regional newspapers. Some names are well-known, some are long forgotten.

By the way, statistics show that in recent years journalists have been killed less often (if not in war). Why? Are the police doing better? Are the bandits quiet? Or because our brother also wanted to eat bread with black caviar? I don't know... Of course, those who sold out live better than disinterested Don Quixotes. But not the fact that happier. For everything in this life you have to pay. And for deals with conscience - too.

Do I believe that the profession, to which I have devoted more than half a century of my life, will be washed off the dirt and become respected again? There are not many grounds for optimism. But I believe.

How else to live?

On January 13, 2017, a former journalist, author of almost two dozen popular anti-systemic books, died in Germany at the age of 56. Udo Ulfkotte. His sudden death immediately gave rise to a version of his murder in the peripheral Russian media of a patriotic orientation. And since in Ulfkotte's latest book "Corrupt Journalists" it was about the interaction of the authors of the leading Western media, in particular the German ones, with the local special services, then the discussion turned to the involvement of these same special services in Ulfkotte's sudden death. One of the main motives for the “murder” of Ulfkotte is revenge for the public exposure of their activities in manipulating public opinion in Germany. A version was even invented that on the eve of the assassination, Ulfkotte had planned a trip to the United States for the inauguration of the new president. Donald Trump. And allegedly there was an agreement on a personal meeting between Ulfkotte and the American president. Therefore, the American CIA is accused of "eliminating" Ulfkotte in the media, for which it was supposedly important to prevent this meeting, at which a competent expert was supposedly going to tell something deadly for American intelligence.

As a result, a conspiracy version was created: Ulfkotte is the bearer of dangerous secrets for the American and German intelligence services. A similar circumstance is due to all the work of Ulfkotte. Be that as it may, in fact, the version of the murder of a former journalist who specialized in exposing the system of globalism is now doomed to further independent existence within the conspiracy theory of the modern era. It will not be helped by the fact that Ulfkotte's death from a heart attack was reported by his close relatives, nor by the evidence of a medical examination, nor by the fact that the deceased was no longer healthy for a long time and had problems with heart disease and other diseases. For the version of the murder of a publicist, something else is important: Ulfkotte was hiding from threats to his life and the lives of close relatives. The threats finally got to him. Ulfkotte himself, in the first place, was afraid of the Islamists. In modern Germany, he was almost the first who openly declared Islam an enemy of European civilization and Germany in particular. Ulfkotte has gained a reputation as an expert on security and migration issues for his vehement opposition to the creeping Islamization of Germany.

Ulfkotte went into hiding and feared attacks due to the nature of his many years of exposure. Even now they cannot name the place in Germany where he died. His name cannot be found in the phone book. With outsiders, he agreed to meet only in public places. Ulfkotte lived secluded in Germany in a house on some island in the middle of a lake. The house has its own source of electricity and water. It cannot be approached unnoticed. The area around the house is surrounded by a high fence. Of the outsiders, only two knew about the place of his permanent residence - the local burgomaster and the priest. Ulfkotte also belonged to the category of modern "survivors". One of his books, written after retiring from journalism, deals with the topic of how to survive the next world war.

Ulfkotte had serious health problems - for which there were reasons: an injury while skiing, a head injury resulting from a fall from the stairs, poorly healed malaria, received either in Asia or in Africa. Recently, he has suffered several heart attacks. There is a story that when he was working at FAZ during a journalistic trip to Iraq in 1988, Ulfkotte at the front came under attack, either by Iraqis or Iranians, using a terrible poisonous substance - "mustard gas". A few months later, the defeat provoked a malignant tumor in the journalist. Doctors allegedly did not give him even three weeks to live, but he still managed to get out then. In December 2013, Ulfkotte sought a pension from the FAZ management due to numerous injuries and illnesses received during his journalistic work for the publication. Regarding diseases, Ulfkotte himself contributed to the development of conspiracy theories. So he explained one of his injuries either by tripping over a cat and falling, or by falling down the stairs in his house during a rescue flight from agents of the Pakistani special services who were chasing him around the house. Imagine this picture.

Ulfkotte's work can be judged by the publication of his articles and book reviews posted on the Kopp Online information resource. His book Corrupt Journalists, subtitled How Politicians, Intelligence and High Finance Guide the German Media, was ranked sixth in Spiegel's annual non-fiction bestseller in 2015. Critics then noted the outstanding achievement of Ulfkotte. He was able to write a bestseller about the local media landscape. The book stayed on the prestigious Spiegel list for 18 weeks and sold over 120,000 copies. In this book, Ulfkotte reflected what he learned during his work in the well-known German, then still printed, edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). At FAZ, Ulfkotte served as one of the policy editors from 1986 to 2003. In his book, he informed the German public about the interaction at the editorial level of the German media with German intelligence officers - the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND). According to Ulfkotte, the topics and content of individual publications in the leading German media are determined by order or in direct interaction with the special services. Behind what is happening with the German media, Ulfkotte saw the behind-the-scenes activities of the globalist American financial elite, which secretly controls and directs public opinion. Ulfkotte's book was partly a warning to journalists about the dangers of approaching "elite networks" that would dictate their work. Ulfkotte warned that Corrupt Journalists was only the beginning, and he plans two more publications on the topic of filth in the media business.

Ulfkotte graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Freiburg in Baden with an interesting specialization practiced at this university in the field of research in a particular area of law or law enforcement in one country of interest to Germany. For example, a doctoral student in the field of jurisprudence is working on a dissertation on the history of the death penalty in Russia. That is, in practice, we are talking about an interdisciplinary approach in the field of law and history in targeted foreign research. As a result, both a qualified lawyer and a historian are obtained. At the University of Freiburg, Ulfkotte studied the topic "Criminology, Islamic Studies and Politics". Accordingly, in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung he worked on the topic of the Middle East. There is a version that while working at FAZ, Ulfkotte spent several years abroad. Between 1986 and 1998, while working for FAZ, he is believed to have lived in the predominantly Muslim countries of Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan. However, his former FAZ colleagues do not recall anything about his foreign business trips. Obviously, Ulfkotte's journalistic activity was in the direction of the interests of German intelligence.

The main theme of Ulfkotte's journalistic work after he left journalism and FAZ was uncontrolled foreign cultural migration, which, in his opinion, poses a mortal threat to Germany and Europe. In total, since 2003, i.e. after leaving journalism and dismissal from FAZ, 16 books by Ulfkotte have been published, of which four are co-authored. The direction of Ulfkotte's work can be well judged by the titles of his books:

  1. War in our cities. How radical Islamists are undermining Germany. (2003);
  2. Crime without borders. Risks associated with EU enlargement. What politicians hide. (2004);
  3. War in the dark. The true power of intelligence. (2006);
  4. Holy War in Europe. About the risks to our society from the Muslim brothers. (2007);
  5. SOS. East. Creeping Islamization of Europe. (2008);
  6. Watch out, civil war! As ferments ripen, waiting for anger. (2009);
  7. There is no black. No red. There is no gold. Poverty for all is the pleasure of migrants. (2010);
  8. Immigration nightmare. Lies, broken promises, brainwashing. (2011);
  9. Selling journalists. How politicians, intelligence and high finance guide Germany's media. (2014);
  10. Mecca of Germany: Silent Islamization. (2015);
  11. Industry for beggars. How politicians, journalists and civil society organizations benefit from the wave of refugees. (2015);
  12. Folk educators. How the media wants to teach us how to be politically correct. (2016).

In 2010, Ulfkotte actively supported Tilo Sarrazina with his politically incorrect anti-immigrant book Germany: Self-Destruction, which made a splash in Germany. Ulfkotte, following Sarrazin, called the financing of multicultural programs "insane sums directed to the education of untrainable backward migrants." He openly called Islam an "aggressive ideology" that has no place in "democratic Europe."

Ulfkotte has become popular as an "expert" with his video performances on Youtube. In early 2015, for example, he spoke in Dresden at mass events of the Pegida anti-immigrant people's alliance. He later spoke at events organized by the new Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Through his journalistic and propaganda activities, Ulfkotte actively formed an anti-systemic trend, which is currently defined in Germany in the activities of the "new right". From this point of view, his publicistic activity should be considered in the obituary. Ulfkotte was one of the most prominent publicists who worked to awaken nationalism in Germany. There is a great merit in the ongoing political reorientation of the AfD party.

In Germany, Ulfkotte is placed in the category of xenophobic "right-wing populists" concerned with the problem of Islam. In obituaries, his ideas were retold with the obligatory addition of the adjective "controversial". For example, one post about his death was titled "Controversial author Ulfkotte is dead." The last fact is indisputable, but here one can only add a completely lapidary one: "But the business lives on."

If all journalists, as they are, were imprisoned, then so many innocent people would certainly not be imprisoned as they are currently.

On August 16, 2014, my older friend Peter Scholl-Latour, who in many ways replaced my father, died. Long ago, in 2010, he advised me to write this book. I thank him for his friendship and advice. And I bow my head before the work of his life. Without him, this book would never have been written. With the deepest gratitude, I also dedicate it to my wife Doris and Dr. Thomas Urbach, who saved my life in an almost hopeless situation. Without their quick, sacrificial, and selfless help, I would not have been able to complete my work on this book.

All of the individuals named in this book deny their suspicious affinity with the organizations of the ruling elite, smacking of corruption. In addition, they deny that they are lobbyists. They also deny being "corrupt" due to their described closeness to the ruling elite. And they deny that, being journalists close to the aforementioned groups, they have lost the professional acumen required for a journalist. They deny that their described closeness to the elite affects their reporting. All organizations named in this book deny that they are lobbying organizations and/or seek to influence journalists and/or public opinion. In addition, they deny their connection with the secret services.

Reviews of the book "Corrupt Journalists" by Udo Ulfkotte

“The well-known German journalist and publicist Udo Ulfkotte wrote the book Corrupt Journalists, which instantly became a bestseller not only in his native country, but also in Europe. Now the Russian reader can also find out what forces and money are behind the articles in the German media. At least in this large-scale work, Ulfkotte, who worked for 17 years in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, considered one of the most prestigious in the world, boldly and without embellishment writes about what dishes are actually “boiled in German journalistic kitchen” . The reader will learn about what gifts (such as diving suits or gold watches) Western journalists work for, why they are both anti-Russian and pro-American. Every sentence in this book, which reads like a thrilling detective story, is backed up by sources. Although Ulfkotte named 321 names in it, no one dared to sue him.”

– Maxim Makarychev, international journalist, columnist for Rossiyskaya Gazeta

“Udo Ulfkotte's book on the secret and often corrupt connections of media conglomerates with big politics and big business is neither the first nor the last of its kind.

Moreover, the revealing pathos of the authors in most cases is doomed to success precisely because of a single factor that they themselves tend to underestimate - the really existing public opinion in Western society. But this book also has a peculiarity. She is largely self-revealing. “Before I unmask other journalists, I will unmask myself. I will describe how corrupt I myself was in my articles and reports and what behind-the-scenes networks influenced my articles and reports,” Ulfkotte immediately stipulates. And this gives what he wrote additional weight, credibility and unbiasedness.”

– Boris Yunanov, First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The New Times

“In his book, Udo Ulfkotte uses exactly those journalistic techniques in which he catches corrupt and corrupt colleagues - the law of a crooked mirror works on both sides of the barricades. But the model of propaganda and manipulation of mass consciousness, which he recreates in sufficient detail, is just as applicable to our country. And therefore, if this book were written on domestic material, it would hardly have reached the mass reader.

- Sergei Kumysh, columnist for the magazine "Profile"

Foreword

LSD? Crack? Dope decoction? Cocaine? Meth? When reading the reports of our “quality media”, you are increasingly wondering what drugs their employees use in their editorial offices. They clearly have something wrong with their heads. I wonder what they put in their muesli in the morning? Many journalists have clearly lost touch with reality. While millions of people behind the walls of their newsrooms, languishing under the burden of worries, do not know how to survive in the face of rising rents and food prices, some journalists are trying to get closer to the very elites who are responsible for the adversity of an increasing number of journalists. the number of people. And while the inevitable bankruptcy of the member states of the European Union has so far been prevented only by the non-stop printing of more and more new money, our mainstream media, in full accordance with the interests of the financial elite, demand the admission of more and more bankrupt states to the EU. What is a crack overdose? Maybe an LSD overdose? Or is it just that editorial staff use too much cocaine? While citizens are tired of getting more and more news about their fellow citizens killed in military operations abroad, some media representatives, wearing steel soldier helmets, cheerfully sing along with the Americans when planning new military operations. What are the side effects of taking methamphetamine?

At the same time, our "alpha-journalists" suffer from complete memory atrophy. For some reason, they cannot or, in any case, do not want to remember today in what grandiloquent terms they sang to us the war in Iraq or the military mission in Afghanistan. As they noticed the financial crisis and the collapse of the euro only when every citizen had long suffered from their consequences. And when a passenger plane crashed over Ukraine in 2014, they were really eager to immediately send our soldiers on a military mission against Russia, although it was not yet clear who was responsible for the plane crash. To prevent bloodshed by demanding even more bloodshed is the principle of murderers. In Iraq alone, more than 100,000 civilians were killed and lost their lives because our media - with very few exceptions - as if in a state of hallucination caused by a drug overdose, described with such unbridled glee the need for a war in Iraq and thereby brought closer its beginning. So who or what is running our crazy mainstream media? Are our leading journalists really taking drugs? Or does this systematic madness have entirely different causes? Maybe there are propaganda specialists behind him? In the old days, such an assumption would certainly have been dismissed as another “conspiracy theory”. But today we know that journalists of respected media are the main target of manipulators who seek to impose on the audience their interpretation of events taking place in the world through the messages of our media. This is how the US governments and Israelis work, first of all. There are even handbooks describing how to influence quality media 1 . One thing is clear: those who work in respected media should be extremely wary of groups lobbying for someone's interests, including American and Israeli ones. As we shall soon see, some journalists do just the opposite. Obviously, they feel great in the web - primarily in the web of American and Israeli influence groups. Moreover, they brag about the fact that they let themselves be entangled in this web, proudly mentioning their "membership" in extremely suspicious circles.

Learning more and more about such behind-the-scenes connections, the existence of which is documented, we, unexpectedly for ourselves, suddenly begin to look at the “news” reported to us by our media with completely different eyes. However, it is better not to expand on this. And if not, the media representatives do not understand jokes and will not joke, even if we are talking about satirical programs. Even such a respected author as Josef Joffe, the "Great Journalist" 2 and, like Theo Sommer convicted of tax fraud, 3 the editor-in-chief of the weekly "Zeit", as it turned out, he does not understand and does not like jokes. He even, using all sorts of legal hooks, sued the Second German Television (ZDF) for a brief mention in one of the satirical programs of his dubious contacts with some suspicious network organizations 4 . It was not enough just that mere mortals had the opportunity to look behind the scenes of power! Media researcher Thomas Stadler writes about this: “For a flagship like "Zeit" the legal measures taken by Joffe (…) against the CDF are quite compatible with the journalist's oath to inform the public about everything that affects its interests” 5. Obviously, one must be extremely careful when dealing with journalists, and not only with journalists like Josef Joffe 6 .

Do you ever get the feeling that you are being manipulated, that the media is lying to you? If it occurs, then know that most people have this feeling. Including Karl Albrecht. When this richest German, estimated to be worth more than 18 billion euros, died in July 2014 at the age of 94, our media had nothing to report on him. Only one single photo of Albrecht was published. And no details of his life were reported. Albrecht, founder of the Aldi discount chain, thought politics was a dirty business. Throughout his life, he refused to meet with the federal chancellors of Germany, instead of elite networks, he relied only on his family, despised banks and the credit business. He refused to accept any honors or awards, including the Federal Cross of Merit. And he never gave anyone any interviews. Do you know why? It's pretty clear that this man, who had been building and expanding his family business all his life, just didn't want others to take advantage of him. And they manipulated it. He was convinced that it was better to stay away from many temptations. And why only more and more ordinary people today think the same way as Karl Albrecht thought during his lifetime?

As early as 1991, the Tübingen scholar and media researcher Professor Hans-Jürgen Bucher wrote in his study “The Language of the Media” (“Mediensprache”) that the following should not be overlooked: “Today, the interaction between the press and politics is carried out according to the rules complex play: through staged media outlets, such as press conferences, so-called behind-the-scenes talks, or delicate forms of media management.” Delicate forms of press control? I'm sorry, did I hear you wrong? It turns out that we have a “controlled press”? This sounds to the average citizen simply monstrous. However, the reality is precisely this, which we will soon see 7.

Until recently, those who wondered why our media often came across as unified were dismissed as conspiracy theorists. After all, it is believed that we have democracy and pluralism of opinions. However, the assumptions of some "conspiracy theorists" today turn into a sad reality. For this book exposes a real network of organizations that lobby for the interests of the elite. Moreover, this network exists in our media. Maybe the billionaire Karl Albrecht knew this and therefore stayed away from the media?

Without a doubt, journalists should not work for lobbying organizations or belong to elite networks hidden from the public. But many of them do just that. And they don't like it when their mask is torn off 8 . You can expose them at every turn. After all, there is a fair amount of publicly available research published showing that these journalists have the power to interpret events and force their version of events on readers, viewers, or listeners. This power is based on the presence of such journalists in the most important newspapers and magazines. To be convinced of this, it is only necessary to check their names and surnames through electronic databases for the frequency of mention 9 . At the next stage of the investigation, it is necessary to compare the names and surnames established in this way with the official list of lobbyists maintained by the German Bundestag 10 . And with the lists of Lobbypedia 11, one of the projects of the organization LobbyControl.

If we then analyze in which lobbying organizations the representatives of the media, thus exposed, who have the power to interpret (for us and for us) the events taking place in the world, belong, we will eventually reveal a small circle of elite organizations, the existence and activities of which almost completely ignored by the media. And then some journalists will suddenly appear before us not as journalists, but rather as performers of the roles of journalists. Apparently, they only create for readers and viewers the appearance of their impartiality and independence. In other words: if a journalist gets exclusive access to circles of power elites, does this mean that he has become too close to those who made this access possible for him? Isn't such a journalist in this case already "corrupt" for a long time? Has he already lost his journalistic acumen, although, perhaps, he himself has not yet noticed this? All of the journalists named in this book deny that, due to being too close to elite networks, they have lost their journalistic acumen and/or become "corrupt." But how will readers look at it? Especially if they find the names of the organizations listed here or the names of the journalists listed here also in published Wikileaks documents from secret reports of US embassies 12 , which is very possible? I wonder why the names of some German quality media appear there again and again?

From this book, it will become clear to you that a whole army of seemingly serious journalistic agents make money by influencing the German media on behalf of foreign customers - for example, the supposedly non-profit "transatlantic organizations of the German-American friendship." Their task is also to keep the representatives of the German political and media elite from trying to create a spiritual and ideological bloc with Russia and to ensure that they continue to follow a pro-American course. After all, Washington is pursuing very specific goals in Europe, among which is the unleashing of a new "cold war" 13. And for this it needs our leading media as allies. Here is just the first of many examples that we will give in this book: the US Department of Defense alone has spent many years billions to deliberately influence the nature and content of media messages throughout the world through propaganda. It is easy to see the consequences of this manipulation of public opinion in the German-speaking region as well 15 . In the US Embassy in Berlin, in recent months it has even been possible to request financial sponsorship for the secret manipulation of public opinion in the interests of Washington - and I will give proof of this.

Historian and media scholar Andreas Elter made a compelling case back in 2005 in his book War Sellers: A History of American Propaganda 1917-2005 ( Die Kriegsverküfer: Geschichte der US-Propaganda 1917–2005) how Americans influence our journalists. Strangely, his study is (unfortunately) nearly impossible to find today. But after that, documents were published Wikileaks. And since then, anyone can easily check it on the Internet using a search engine Wikileaks 16 how often the names of some leading media outlets are mentioned in secret embassy dispatches, moreover, due to their pro-American nature of the presentation of information. It is striking that those of them who are obviously especially close to the former US occupying power do not allow information to be presented in a tone critical of the US. In the interests of Washington? What is happening there?

Internet platform providers Wikileaks set themselves the task of making all sorts of secret documents available to the public. From there, in particular, it was possible to download a document classified in 2010 as CONFIDENTIAL / NOFORN (US), that is, a memorandum that is confidential and accessible only to US citizens. The CIA Red Cell, a group of Secret Service operatives who are said to have been tasked by the director of the CIA to "look over the edge of the plate," "prompt thought" and "suggest alternative points of vision." There I also found a document written by manipulators in the service of US secret structures entitled "Afghanistan: Sustaining West European Support for the NATO-led mission - why indifference may not be enough" (Afghanistan: Sustaining West European Support for the NATO-led Mission - Why Counting on Apathy Might Not Be Enough) 17 . This secret document dealt with the need to ensure sentiment in the ranks of the Western European allies of the United States in support of the war that NATO is waging in Afghanistan, at the foot of the Hindu Kush. By purposefully influencing public opinion, the Western European public should be encouraged to tolerate the expected increase in the number of victims in the spring and summer of 2010, both among their own military personnel and among the civilian population of Afghanistan. According to the document, for this it was necessary to develop a "strategic communication program" based on an individual approach to the population of each of the NATO member countries that sent their troops to Afghanistan. But Germany is one of those countries. The said secret document is nothing more than a recipe for influencing public opinion in the German-speaking region, compiled by the CIA. Oddly enough, the CIA, in pointing out in this document the need to influence the German public, referred to the research of a transatlantic organization called the German Marshall Fund of the United States. This foundation found in surveys that no more than one percent of Germans perceive the stabilization in Afghanistan as the most important national goal of Germany 18 . It was this attitude that needed to be changed. And because of this, a wave of American propaganda fell upon the German public through the leading media. military propaganda.

Are such documents published wikileaks, not a sufficient reason for the leading German media to avoid, from the moment they are published, all suspicions that they are engaged in propaganda in the interests of US organizations that influence them? Since the CIA is developing "strategic communications programs" for the German-language media, then our "quality media" should all the more bypass all organizations swarming around these US services. In fact, everything turns out the other way around. Our mainstream media is really hungry for transatlantic elite organizations not only to tolerate them, but to accept them into their ranks. Which leads to a result, in my opinion, terrifying - to one-sided propaganda, which is carried out in the same way by all newspapers, magazines and television companies, regardless of the name. This is what modern German media are increasingly doing.

Previously, intelligent people, considering it necessary for themselves to get acquainted with all the shades of the motley palette of public opinion, read several newspapers daily in order to form an objective picture of the events taking place. Today, it has become completely pointless to do this, because, judging by the content of different articles approved by different editors, they are almost identical and could appear in any newspaper and with any signature. Here's an example for you: one day in July 2014, all the leading media published photos of Angela Merkel at the kitchen stove on the front page 19 . What does it mean? The fact that Angela Merkel knows how to cook is no more important to the average citizen than the fact that somewhere in China a sack of rice has fallen to the ground. If you put all these newspapers side by side, it will be impossible not to notice the similarity of their content. What used to be the domain of pure entertainment magazines "Bunt" And "Gala", newspapers "Goldene Blatt" And "Bild der Frau" - Mrs. Federal Chancellor in the kitchen - today flaunts before the reader on the title pages of supposedly "quality" media. At the same time, something else is striking - all the central newspapers of the country publish news and comments that are sustained in a spirit that contradicts the perception and opinion of a significant majority of the population.

Cologne scholar Professor Andreas Vogel, who studies newspapers, says: “Consumers today can generally choose between different designs when purchasing products and services, and only dailies believe they can serve all readers with a single product that is the same for everyone.” 20 . In his opinion, publishing houses should only blame themselves for the sharp decline in the circulation of German-language dailies, and not, for example, the Internet 21 . Example: The content of various newspapers belonging to the Mazak Publishing Group - for example, "Leipziger Volkszeitung" And "Ostsee Zeitung"- often identical, the same article can be published simultaneously in 18 newspapers 22 .

Title: Corrupt Journalists. Any truth for your money

About the book “Corrupt Journalists. Any truth for your money" Udo Ulfkotte

The book by the famous German journalist Udo Ulfkotte vividly, specifically and in detail describes the situation in the German media, mired in corruption, bribery and political engagement. Hidden advertising and open PR, paid articles and TV shows, hushing up some and inflating other facts in the interests of the ruling elite or commercial companies - this is far from a complete toolkit of the German "sharks of the pen." An important merit of the book is the frank admission of the author in his own past participation in fooling and brainwashing readers. Working in the largest newspaper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" in high positions, he was more aware than anyone else about the methods of bribing representatives of the "fourth power". You will find out what pretext the US came up with to start the war in Iraq; how NATO uranium munitions in the Balkans became harmless; how they lured Bulgaria and Romania into the EU; how the American and British intelligence agencies rigged polls; how the euro was forcibly introduced in Germany; why an attempt was made to whitewash Hitler; why the German media blamed Russia for the crash of the Malaysian Boeing in Ukraine.
