How to enter a higher education institution

Both those who live in the country and foreign citizens can apply.

It is possible to master professions on a paid or free basis.

Foreign applicants are admitted to universities in Kazakhstan through an interview.

For people with disabilities, there are benefits for admission to the best universities in Kazakhstan.

If any misunderstandings arise, there are special commissions to resolve and resolve certain issues.

Documents upon admission

Each applicant requires the necessary package of papers for admission to universities in Kazakhstan. The list below:

  • an application addressed to the responsible person of the university for admission to a course of study;
  • existing certificates, diplomas about your current education;
  • documents proving that you are healthy and able to study;
  • KTA, UNT certificate;
  • photographs to fill out the personal file of an already enrolled student.

The list is relatively small and meets the usual requirements.

What is KTA

Before you are accepted into universities in Kazakhstan, you must undergo a comprehensive applicant testing procedure. This testing is mandatory, it is approved at the level of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Note that this form of testing is intended for those people who graduated from school this year or several years ago.

For this procedure, you provide an application, passport, certificate or diplomas of your education, medical certificate, photo, receipt of payment of the fee.

All this is submitted to the commission at the required time.

Then you take the test in Russian or Kazakh language of your choice. You take compulsory subjects: Russian (Kazakh) language, history of Kazakhstan, mathematics, a subject of your choice.

The test takes two and a half hours, answer sheets are collected, checked, and later the results are published within the walls of the educational institution. If the results are unacceptable to you, you can file an appeal.

Benefits of Higher Education

As in many other countries, university graduates will have priority in hiring. You will be more likely to be employed by a company than a person without a higher education. And the wages in this case will be slightly higher. To improve your qualifications, you will be among the first to be nominated for training.

But after graduation, you will have to find a job yourself: universities and the state leave the choice in this regard to you. Sometimes graduates fail to get a job immediately after graduation.

Two forms of training

Knowledge at universities in Kazakhstan is obtained in traditional forms: full-time and part-time.

Preference, of course, is given to full-time education. Deep, expanded knowledge can be obtained through constant and systematic studies at faculties under the supervision of teachers and lecturers. Moreover, the entire educational process is structured and dosed for students, which, of course, facilitates the learning process and sets the student up to gain more knowledge.

The correspondence course has a number of advantages: free time for studying, the use of additional experience. But there are also negative aspects: not everyone can force themselves to study systematically and every day. Moreover, medical universities in Kazakhstan do not practice this form of education. This is understandable, the most precious thing a person has is his health, and how can one entrust such a treasure to a specialist who has not fully mastered the program, but only superficially?

Innovations in training

Now there is an opportunity to receive education in a new way - remotely. To do this, you need to have a computer, laptop, and Internet connection at hand. Modern technologies make it possible to transfer knowledge and monitor student learning results in required subjects. For a student, this form is good because there is no time connection, the student finds the necessary educational materials much easier on the Internet, and is able to retake any material without running after a teacher. And teachers can conduct lectures both online (live) and in a more convenient form offline (recorded).

True, state exams, theses and their defenses are conducted at the university.

Anyone can achieve success, regardless of having a higher education. But it can be a good start for a career. And the list of specialties that require a diploma for employment is quite long. For many, the reckless student years become the best memories of their entire lives. So that this fun time doesn’t go in vain, and when applying for a job you don’t have to hear: “Now forget everything you were taught!” You should choose a university carefully.
