Secrets of the USSR. the secret objects of the great empire are left to fend for themselves

26.02.2016 2 672

Soviet academicians rejected the existence of anomalous phenomena in the USSR - all the more devilry. However, here is just a small selection of messages from the Soviet era, arranged in chronological order. Most of them are published for the first time: they were recorded back in those years "from the first hand" or written with his own hand and sent to various institutions, including the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.

AN EGYPTIAN GOD IN PRIMORYE?

KA Belkina in childhood saw a creature, judging by her drawing, similar to the Egyptian god Sebek or Anubis. She herself did not know about this analogy:

"It was in 1957-1958, at that time I was 6-7 years old, I lived with my parents in the town of Partizanskoe, Primorsky Territory. It was very hot, it was July, we lived in a barrack-type house for four families, our apartment was extreme And so my mother sent me to drink the kids (the barn was about forty meters from the house). I just ran from the street, I really didn’t want to go to the barn, but my friend ran off to play somewhere. I remember my father had to come, which means it was about 11.30 a.m.

When I went outside the gate with the bucket, still hoping to see my friend, put the bucket down and began to twist my head, my gaze fell on the entrance door. Near us was a large pre-war house, the entrance door was closed, and suddenly, as in a fairy tale, the doors opened and some creature ran out.

It did not run fast, the distance between us was about seven meters, the creature made a disgusting sound, wheezing, grunting, puffing and chewing something.

When it drew level with me, we looked at each other for several seconds, I was very struck by large brown eyes, when it ran past me, I was not frightened at all, rather surprised and ran after him. It ran to the narrow-gauge railway and turned back, I rather ran to call my mother, but I ran to the place where the bucket stood, and stopped, I wanted to call my mother - I move my lips, but I don't hear the words, I stood there until it ran past me, we looked at each other again, it ran into the entrance, the doors closed by themselves, I seemed to wake up, screamed and ran home. ”

NEW YEAR SURPRISE

Ufologist A. S. Kuzovkin wrote down this story from the words of a Muscovite who wished to remain anonymous:

"I, my wife and friend of our si-

we celebrated the new 1961th year.

We live on the first floor. It all happened in the kitchen. The window and the vent were tightly closed, and metal bars were installed on the windows. At about 1 o'clock in the morning, the three of us went out into the kitchen and saw the following: through the whole, without cracks and holes, the window glass began to penetrate into the kitchen. It was an object, shaped like a woman's cap, about 25 cm in diameter and about 8 cm in height, black in color, covered with fine fibers. They moved synchronously in different directions within individual sections of the object. Along these villi, black balls with a diameter of about two millimeters rose up from the body of the object, reached the top of the villi, changed their color to white and again disappeared into the body of the object.

He entered the kitchen and hovered for a short time over the kitchen table. Then he moved sharply with acceleration and knocked down a bottle of kefir that was on the table. The bottle has broken. The object flew up to the wall and began to slowly disappear into it. He disappeared into it completely, and a sound like a crunching sound began to emanate from the wall. The sound was heard for a long time, about 20 hours. The wife was very nervous, she was afraid that the object would explode. "

VISIT "HOUSE"

Alexander Ivanovich Sherstobitov from Michurinsk wrote about this case to F. Yu. Siegel:

"I have a special secondary military education. Until 1962 I served in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Western Siberia. In 1968 I came to my residence in Michurinsk with my family, with a wife and four children. In Michurinsk I bought a small house and began to work at a household work.

Living in the house, I began to notice some oddities: in the evening and at night, almost systematically, “horse races” were arranged on the ceiling of the house. It seemed that young kids were frolicking on the boards. Meanwhile, there were no open boards on the ceiling: the attic was insulated with a layer of sawdust and, it would seem, the sound could not reach the rooms like that.During this stomping, we went up to the attic more than once, but we did not find anyone there, and you can only get to the attic through the canopy, which always remained from the yard It was noticeable that sometimes they frolicked in the attic not alone, but in a group, as if someone was running one after the other.

When we went to bed, we often heard that someone was walking in the kitchen. Then the "invisibility" began to influence me physically. At night, he began to twist my arms back, but it hurt so much that sometimes I screamed, and after that my hands hurt in my joints. One night he began to twist both my arms so hard that I groaned, my wife woke up, and I, turning to the invisible, said: "Oh, Lord, what are you doing over me, I broke all my hands." After that, the twisting of the arms stopped.

There was such a case in the family. My son Valery was making a radio transmitter, and I called him to help me. The son left the transmitter on the table in the kitchen, and five minutes later it fell from the middle of the table to the floor. We were surprised by this.

There were oddities with the dishes. For example: in the piles, the edges or bottoms bounced off, and so evenly, as if they were cut with a diamond. Coasters bounced off the glasses under the very foot and edges.

One day, it was in January 1962, I woke up at about midnight. It was a bright moonlit night. The room was bright. Suddenly to my right, about three meters from under the floor near the wall, between the table and the sewing machine, the head of some creature appeared. Looking around, this creature crawled out to the chest, looked around again, then crawled out completely. It sat under the table, looked around again and walked slowly in the direction of the kitchen. I accompanied him with a turn of my eyes. When it became impossible for me to accompany this creature without moving the field of vision, I slightly moved my head. The creature turned around and quickly disappeared under the floor in the same place from which it climbed out. It had the shape of a dog about 40 cm high, its muzzle was sharp, the hair was reddish, there was a snout on its nose, and four paws. I did not notice the tail. All his movements were careful. I was to some extent scared and was surprised how it could get out when there are no holes in the floor.

After a few minutes, curiosity hit me. Having calmed down, I got out of bed and turned on the light, but there were no traces or signs of a manhole.

In addition, the kitchen doors in the hallway were systematically opened in the house. Once, dressing a rabbit skin on the kitchen floor and squatting with my back to the door in the hallway, I felt a cold chill on my back. Turning around, I saw that the door was ajar and from there, at a height of about 50 cm from the threshold, a furry large paw of reddish color was pushed through. I got scared and ran into the room. When I looked back at the door, the paw was gone, and the door creaked and opened wide.

When the apartment began to cool down, I, overcoming my fear, took a poker and, reaching for the door handle, closed it. Having calmed down, I turned on the light in the hallway and went out there. I examined everything, but found nothing. The outer door was hooked. "

"A WOMAN FLY ..."

Artist Vladimir Ivanovich Brylev from Kamyshlov, Sverdlovsk region in 1963 saw something strange:

“There were four of us. Three of us on bicycles rode forward, and I was delayed because of a chain that had flown off. Suddenly I heard some kind of cry, or a call, it’s hard to explain. I looked around. What struck! The very grass flew right at me. With a voice she made it clear to wait for her. The woman was in light blue clothes, clothes like Alla Pugacheva's hoodie. It was about 500 meters to her. She flew against the wind at an altitude of 20-30 cm.

I was terrified by this woman. Instantly he threw the chain on, flew to the embankment to his friends, began to point them in that direction, explain that he had seen a woman, but there was nothing there.

Of course, the guys laughed at me. But it is interesting that I forgot this incident, forgot it as if it never happened. I remembered it thanks to the UFO problem. "

WHO HAS DRAGGED THE CHILD?

An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, described in detail the mysterious case in a letter to A.S. Kuzovkin. This happened in Krasnodar on October 3, 1963 at 14.00:

“Upon entering the house, I saw strange vibrations of the curtain on the door to the bedroom where L.N. lived with her husband and daughter. The bottom of the curtain was vibrating with sharp and quick blows of some pointed bodies. It seemed that someone was sitting behind the curtain on the threshold of the room and doing something very energetically with his hands, and sharp thin elbows (I would say, thin) shake the curtain.

In the next instant, the curtain was pulled somewhat aside (I did not see the hand that did this) and a man's face looked at me. It appeared as if instantly, when the curtain was pulled back, it was not there, and then it instantly appeared, and it did not turn, as an ordinary person would do, there was no turning of the neck and the associated tension of the face. There was no neck itself, just a face towered over something massive, glassy-black, translucent, 50-60 cm from the floor. The face was also black and translucent. I could see the details of the removed bed in the background through the face, however, it was poorly visible, only denser and more prominent than the lower part of the body.

The face belonged to a man in his 40s. Facial features are similar to those of the inhabitants of the Caucasus. A straight, slightly elongated nose, raised, well-defined lips (as if cut out), a clean high forehead, thin eyebrows (but not laces), somewhat sunken cheeks, the whole face was elongated, tapering downward. The chin is not sharp (strong-willed), and the frontal part is expanding.

Most of all I was struck by the eyes, gray, very expressive and ... sad and tired. On the whole, the face expressed calmness and some kind of indifference.

If we proceed from the proportions of the human body, then the face belonged to a person of average or slightly above average height of 175-180 cm. The impression was pleasant, even pretty. I didn't see hair or ears. The fact is that the face became more transparent towards the edges and did not show through in the area of the ears and hair.

There was one more detail in this face that caused surprise - the face was completely smooth, as if it were really glass, without a single wrinkle, pores, or signs of hairiness (except for eyebrows). But at the same time, alive! I watched him from a distance of 2.5-3 meters.

The day was sunny, the room was very bright, the light from the window fell directly on the face, and I could have a good look at every hair on my cheek or beard, but they were not there and there were no signs that they were once there.

After looking at me in this way for no more than 10 seconds, the curtain was lowered, and the face disappeared. At that very second I saw and heard how they hastily laid the baby on the floor, completely naked, the head gently banged on the threshold, and the next instant the curtains flew to the sides, as if they were forcefully thrown to the sides by my hands, and I was thrown under my feet at high speed a volumetric, dark "cloud" with a diameter of a little more than half a meter. This "cloud" flew over the room with a climb and with the noise of the air being cut (f-f-u ...). In the course of the movement, it became more and more transparent and at the exit in the opening of the door leading to the street, it was already completely invisible, only the curtains that were on this door were dispersed just as if they were thrown by hands.

All the doors in the house were wide open, as the weather outside was quite warm.

When this cloud flew past me (I followed him with my gaze along the entire route), something soft and warm poked my left ankle (as if poked with a cat that had been lying on the stove), and an air wave from a fast moving body.

After the end of all this fuss, I turned to the child, as he was making sounds, ready to turn into crying. Before that, the groaning had stopped, and I don't remember any expressive sounds from behind the curtains. The first desire was to rush to the child and pick him up from the floor, but to my surprise, I felt that I was not allowed to do this. I could physically move, maybe go up to him and take him, but some inner strength with all her might did not let me in to him.

Running to L.N., I called her, when she ran through the place where I was standing, watching the face, I had a great desire not to let her go further, I even grabbed her by the robe, saying: "Do not go there" - but she pulled out the robe, with tears in her eyes and indignation asked "Why not walk?"

That day I was surprised that I did not feel fear, he came to me two weeks later.

Many years later, in a conversation with L.N., I found out that she fed her daughter that day at 14.00, before that she bathed her and put her to sleep on the couch in the bedroom. When she ran into the room, she found Larissa naked, lying on the threshold, and the sack with the diaper and undershirt remained on the couch untouched and well tied. It seemed that the child was pulled behind his head and carried more than three meters across the room, then laid on the threshold.

Now Larisa is 17 years old, she is in the 9th grade. She studies well, a talented girl (now a girl), but there are no certain hobbies. During all these years, no peculiarities in health, behavior, judgments were noted ”.

BLACK SPOT"

Ufologist E. B. Galevsky recorded this story from the words of engineer Alexander Petrovich Romanov in 1982:

"In the summer of 1963 or 1964, I encountered an unusual phenomenon. At that time, as a teenager, I was resting in the village of Solnechnoye, Sestroretsk district of the Leningrad region. One evening (it was late July - early August), around 20.00-21.00, I stood alone in a clearing not far from wooden summer houses, stretched out in a chain towards the bay.The clearing was elongated, 50-60 meters wide, on the opposite edge of which a small low forest with bushes stood like a wall, forming a weakly curved arc. It was getting dark. The forest wall had faded and turned gray. I was standing with my back to the forest. Suddenly it seemed to me that behind my back something ran very quickly (or flashed). I noticed it out of the corner of my eye, with peripheral vision. Immediately I turned around, there was no one around. After 2-3 minutes the same thing was repeated , and again I did not find anything suspicious.

I decided at all costs to find out the reason for this incomprehensible flicker, turned around to face the forest and waited. And now, after about half an hour, I saw a dark light rushing from left to right, along the edge of the forest, with great speed. We managed to see the phenomenon from start to finish. It seemed as if a black beam of a searchlight ran along the tree trunks, highlighting a spot of absolutely black color (it was darker than the background of the forest). The spot was narrow, curved and elongated upwards by 2/3 of the height of the trees; it had a clear outline of an indefinite shape with pointed ends. The lower edge of the slick broke off 0.5-1 m from the ground.

The spot moved rapidly, running an arc of about 120 meters in 2-3 seconds, without changing its configuration, and disappeared. The phenomenon ran completely silently. It also seemed to me that short (fractions of a second) flashes were observed in the sky before and after the appearance of the spot. I did not feel any physical influences, but there was a palpable feeling of fear, although before that my mood was normal and I never suffered from hallucinations. It was completely unclear what caused the stain. There were no aircraft in the sky, nor were there lanterns and searchlights on the ground. Since it was already dark, it was pointless to go to the forest and figure out what had happened. The fear passed, but then, when I remembered what I saw, goose bumps ran through my body. All the same, I examined the trees, but did not find anything interesting.

The observation was carried out through glasses (left eye - plain glass, right - 2.5 diopters). Although later I had to visit the clearing more than once, the phenomenon never happened again. I knew nothing about the existence of anomalous phenomena at that time. "

"Dwarfs" IN CAPSULES

“In the summer of 1966, we were walking with a small company from the pond. The eldest of the children was me, and with us was also my grandmother, who is still experiencing that seen and incomprehensible phenomenon.

As we approached the mill, a strange cloud in the clear sky caught my attention. It quickly sank down and soon hovered right over our vegetable garden. Before I could say: “What is this?”, Suddenly from this cloud in our direction small transparent capsules flew, in which there were little people. The speed of movement of the capsules was low, and they themselves silently floated past us, as if streaming in the air. In some capsules there were no people, but in most there were 2-3 people, sometimes - 1. People were very small - no more than 20 cm in height. They had everything like people - arms, legs, head. They were dark in color, eyes in blue pits, and looked like they were sculpted from plasticine and moved inside the capsules like deep divers. After a while they began to dissolve in the air. At first only the capsules remained visible, and then they disappeared. Grandma, when I asked "what was that?" answered: "Mirage", and at the same time she thought deeply. "

WINGED "SOMETHING"

Pyotr Ivanovich Lomakin from Oryol reported to the AY Commission about the observation of a strange "creature" in the room:

“What happened to me once put me in thought. It was on July 6, 1967 at 13.30 pm, at the workplace, in the red corner in Oryol, at the PATO-1 convoy. I worked as a graphic designer, stood at the table in front of Whatman paper, did the calculations for the design of the stand.

With my left hand I rested on a wooden ruler of a meter length, in my right hand I was holding a compass, when suddenly in front of my eyes, with a rustle resembling the rustle of the leaves of a book, a living creature flew out of a clean wall with a very slow movement (about 0.5 m / sec), which I managed to get a good look at it. Here it is: length up to 20 cm, thickness up to 10 cm, wings up to 6-8 cm. The distance from the wall to the ruler is 1-1.20 meters. It hit the ruler, knocked it out, the compass fell out, and the object disappeared somewhere. I looked at the floor. In front of me, with a soccer ball, lay a ball of resin in a mess of tangled twine. I began to swear, I thought some fool had thrown it out my window. Here I was alone. I wanted to grab the ball and throw it away, but in front of me there was a thick cloud of gray smoke, odorless and without the influence of others. A second later, the smoke disappeared.

The ruler was lying on the floor, the compasses were stuck in the floor. I checked the windows, vents, doors, everything was closed. I searched all the furniture, pictures, and found nothing anywhere. There are no marks on the walls and on the floor. I told my friends, laughed that I was asleep and in a dream I dreamed it. But I know myself, in what state I was (calm), and I don’t drink vodka, and I don’t believe in God.

The subject was gray in color and the coat was similar to that of a cat, only very sparse. Two eyes with dark brown cherry. The wings are short, 6-8 cm. But flapping with a book rustle.

The next day I wrote to central television to find out what it is? They answered me - ask physicists for an explanation. True, I did not go anywhere else ...

In 1976, in July, our entire house and the entire street (on the northern side of Orel, in the direction of Moscow) observed black objects in the clear sky for 4 hours, one large one stood still, and small ones moved around it, the height cannot be determined. it

it was very far away, the binoculars did not give sharp outlines, an approximate height of 30-40 km. We don't know what it was. "

VISION IN KARELIA

In the summer of 1968 or 1969, Tatyana Viktorovna Kotova observed the "vision" and many years later told Gennady Sorokin about it:

“I am a second year student of the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Karelian Pedagogical Institute. Ten or eleven years ago (1968-69) I lived in the village of Novaya Rechka, about 20 km from Chalna, forty minutes by train on a narrow-gauge railway. in the afternoon we went to the forest in the afternoon, - then the very first mushrooms went. We collected them right outside the gardens. Flowers were also collected: daisies, bells. And strawberries too. Valya Mayorova was with me, she graduated from pedagogical school last year, but where now, I don’t know.

We were on the hill. I suddenly saw three people far away on the horizon. In fact, it was probably half a kilometer before them, but they were so large that they seemed above the horizon. There were three of them, dressed in something bright, red. One, in the middle, is smaller in stature, approximately on the forearm of the other two. One had, it seems, a skirt, but I don’t remember who exactly. All three of them walked straight towards us. Their bodies went straight into the sky. And with their hands forward, they make some incomprehensible gestures, as if they want to take you. Or, as it were, they walk through the water, raking it. The arms are bent, but, it seems, only at the extreme ones. The middle one is holding on to them, or they were holding on. They walk smoothly, no one comes forward, straight at me.

We ran back. Then I turned around after 20 meters or less - I wanted to make sure if they were chasing us - but they are no longer there. We ran to the vegetable garden.

The distance to them, after all, was not half a kilometer, but a hundred and fifty or two hundred meters ... One of them was holding a basket or something like it; this hand was also in front. The upper body was tilted forward. They were twice or three times taller than the trees, but the trees were actually small in that place (birch, aspen, fir-trees). Legs up to the knee were not visible, the trees hid them. The sun was on the side of them, but I don't remember - to the left or to the right. There was a river between us. On the other side, first there was a cobblestone, then a strip of wild rose, then the forest began. There seemed to be nowhere to hide there. Their growth was from 4 to 5 meters. Did they feel like they were seeing us? Do not know. What goes on us - it was. I told my mother: “The big people were running at us,” - but they actually walked, not ran. There was no talk about this incident later. I was afraid of that place for about a week. I sat there and went somewhere again ”.

Gennady Vasilyevich tracked down Valya Mayorova, but it turned out that for some reason she did not remember these events.

LANDING ON THE SQUARE

A veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Grigory Efimovich Maksimov from Vorkuta, informed the AY Commission about an incident he knew from third parties:

"In 1969, according to the serious stories of the time, a UFO sat down for a few minutes on one of the squares of Vorkuta. It was about 3-4 o'clock in the morning. One sports coach was returning home from the gym. When he reached the square, he saw that in the middle of it , somewhere in thirty meters from it there is a plate-shaped apparatus standing on high "legs". A bright light was visible inside the apparatus. He was seized with such an intense fear that his arms, legs and whole body seemed to be numb. He felt by an incomprehensible instinct that someone was watching him from this apparatus. Arriving home, he was trembling all over and could not say anything. And only about the fifth day, with great reluctance, he told his family members about what he had seen. "

AND THE HOUSE SHAKE ...

“Once I witnessed how an ordinary bulk (empty without tenants) house literally shook. It happened when we moved to a new house, and this one had to be scrapped.

There was no one there except me. I was already closing the door and was about to close it, I remembered that somehow the brownies were being called to a new apartment, and so quietly, without expecting anything, by the way, calmly said: "Well, brownie. Let's go to the new apartment." then the house shook or shook, that is, quite strongly.I was 18 years old at that time, but I was very scared (although I managed to grab my bag and close the door) and jumped out of the fence; when I ran along the fence past the house and then on street past him, he continued to shake.

At home I told my mother about this, she said that it was somewhere a train passed. Indeed, the embankment was 200 meters from the house. But we lived in this house for 10 years, and I somehow could distinguish when a freight train passes, and when a passenger train passes. Moreover, the embankment had a height of 10-12 meters, so the vibration from the trains was not very strong.

And here the trembling was rather stronger than from the train. And in general, I am somehow not afraid of trains. I’m sure it didn’t come from the train. I am of the opinion that nothing happens just like that, especially things unusual, non-trivial. "

"WHITE GHOST"

In July 1972, Sergey Vladimirovich Kotenkov from Riga lived in a dormitory of a diesel construction plant in Vecmilgravis, on Lasu street:

“When I got home from training, I took a shower and lay down on my bed. It was about 11 pm on a quiet summer evening. The window was open. The bunk was set up so that I lay with my feet to the window and saw the sky. The room was on the fourth floor. About five minutes later I noticed a bright white "star" above the roof of a neighboring house, which gradually increased in size. The first thought was that it was a satellite flying. The size of the star increased and took the form of a female silhouette in a white robe hiding her arms and legs. Soon this the figure was already in the room, at the back of the bed at a distance of 2-3 meters from my head. The silhouette is slender, but large, the visible size of the head is almost half a meter in diameter. not completely dry after a shower. ”The figure seemed to be leaning over the headboard, examining me from a distance of 1.5-2 m.

If from a distance she seemed to me for some reason a beautiful woman, but now I saw a bottomless black hole in the place of her mouth, the hair was not visible, it was as if covered by something white. There is also a black spot on the site of the nose, somehow it all resembled a large skull. A thought flashed - my death, perhaps, appeared? I even wanted to hit her, but immediately felt a numbness - the thought worked, but could not move or shout. Now I looked into the eyes of the figure: the eyes are very large, at a distance of about 25 cm from each other. There is a completely black area in the middle of each eye, gradually brightening towards the edges. Eyes, as it were, with a haze, no small details, cornea, eyelashes, etc. are visible. The complexion is matte. There were no sounds, but a touch, a breath of air on the face and chest, was clearly felt.

I was very surprised and scared. How long it lasted exactly, I can't say, maybe a few minutes. Then the figure straightened up without turning, moved to the window, began to change its shape from oblong to round and gradually decreased to the size of a distant luminous point. After about five minutes I felt free from numbness, got up with difficulty, went to drink some water. The steps were uncertain, I was clearly shaking. I went outside, walked a bit, calmed down and went to bed.

I almost did not tell anyone about this case, everything was too fantastic - they would only laugh at me. I am firmly convinced that then I did not sleep, but in those years I did not drink alcohol at all.

To some extent, this case was confirmed four years later. I accidentally met a man who lived in my room before me and slept in my bunk. We talked, and he said that an amazing incident happened to him once: a figure in a white robe appeared and looked at him, a white ghost, as he said. The behavior of this ghost was very similar to the incident with me, and he did not know my story when he told about the meeting with the "ghost". "

"PILOT" CROWED OUT ON THE DECK

In January 1976, Vladimir Vasilyevich Tkachenko from the city of Saransk, the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, was brought directly to his house by car. It was two in the morning:

“The weather that night was clear, starry, moonlit. I went to the entrance and felt the need to look up. A similar effect was made on me by a body located 100 meters away from me and hovering 50 meters above a nearby house, in a motionless state. It was an oval biconvex disc of aluminum color in the light of the Moon, 15 meters in diameter (1/3 width; a house with three entrances). It seemed that around the disk there was something like steam, but from the inside neither the first nor the second glowed. On the upper part of the disk there was a man of average height and was doing something. The "pilot" was making movements very actively, by their nature, they resembled, as if he was "kneading the dough" (up and down) in a bent position for 1-2 minutes. He did not have time to see the details of his clothes and figures, as he disappeared somewhere, as he fell into the disk. The disc also disappeared for a while. Disappeared instantly, without gradual acceleration, leaving a white contrail that quickly melted away. I did not notice any details of the structure. It seemed that 2-3 minutes had passed, I did not look at the clock because of the shock. "

MEETING IN HEAVEN

"On July 27, 1976, during the flight Moscow-Novosibirsk, on the route of our aircraft, there was unexpectedly thick cloudiness that was not marked by weather reports. We were somewhere in the Urals. an object about 100 m in diameter. On its surface there were several rather strange creatures resembling people, whose heads were crowned with some kind of projections resembling horns. When we got closer, it became clear that these were not horns, but outgrowths of spacesuits. Suddenly these creatures disappeared, and the clouds covered the device.

To our dismay, we found that almost all of the instruments were out of order. But after a few seconds they started working again.

We saw this device again on the same day, when we returned to Moscow on a return flight. He, too, hung at about the same height, one human being sat on his edge and seemed to be waving at us. This picture was reflected by the setting sun against the background of nearby clouds. All this was seen by the passengers of the plane, which caused them an unusual animation and even commotion. We did not approach the apparatus. I turned the plane abruptly to the right, got away from the strange apparatus. A memorandum was immediately written about all this addressed to the head of the Civil Air Fleet with the attachment of photographs that were taken by us during the return flight. "

Unfortunately, the images have not survived, and we do not know what turned out on them.

"WARRIORS" SPEAKED IN GEORGIAN

Former policeman Avtandil Vladimirovich Bukhrashvili from Tbilisi spoke about this in front of the movie camera during the shooting of the documentary "In Search of Aliens" (1988) - the first Soviet film about UFOs and the search for extraterrestrial civilizations:

"It happened in February 1978. I was standing on the veranda of my house. It was midnight. Suddenly, a huge luminous ball flew from the side of Lake Lisi towards the city of Mamadaveti ... Everything that I will tell you further will probably make you skeptical. smile, but still I have to tell you.

In the place where the luminous ball disappeared behind the mountain, two black dots appeared, which were heading towards me. They gradually turned into flying "birds" and landed vertically in front of me. I was scared, because instead of birds I saw humanoid creatures dressed in overalls or diving suits, sort of like in armor. But they calmed me in exquisite Georgian language, they say, they they won't do any harm to me, they came of their own free will.

Well, then I thought that they were probably scouts of some warring country. Then I was an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia with the rank of police captain, I had a personal weapon at home, I had a telephone. I wanted to sound the alarm and somehow delay them. And under the pretext that I had a bad heart, I said that I would take the medicine. But they did not let me in, and they themselves offered the pill in their open palm. She looked like a dogwood bone. They insisted that I take the pill.

I swallowed. It became easier, the fear disappeared. And at this time they invite me to fly with them. And I still think about them that something was wrong and ask: where? They did not answer directly, but hinted that, they say, we are not earthly beings. Then I asked: "Who are you?" They replied: “We are warriors”, - “What kind of warriors you are, you have no weapons.” They looked at each other, looked at each other and answered: the weapons that they have, if we had, we destroyed a long time ago They again insisted that I fly with them, but I again refused. They then said: it would be nice if I agreed, but they do not take anyone by force. Suddenly they received some kind of signal with a metal ringing , the bulbs at the ends of the antennas lit up, and the luminous board began to sparkle in different colors. They flew up and disappeared vertically, without noise.

I remembered all this while in bed. How I ended up in bed, I do not know. What was it: a dream or was it all awake? Got up. Are there any physical traces? I came to the kitchen: my robe, in which I went out onto the veranda, was lying in the middle of the room on the floor, slippers were scattered in different directions, and the door leading to the veranda was wide open. And it was frosty outside ...

This has never happened to me either before or after this incident. Due to my official duties and position, I underwent serious medical research every year, did not suffer from hallucinations and mental disorders, and everyone in the family is also practically healthy. I see dreams very rarely, and they are not even remembered. So what was it: a dream, or a dream within a dream, or is it really all true? "

GRANDMA'S GHOST

Vladimir Safonov recorded the story of an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous:

“It happened in April 1978, but my memory continues to keep very strong impressions, at that time I just got married and lived with my mother-in-law. We lived in one room, she was in the next room. My mother-in-law is a very simple and ingenious woman. the habit of entering our room without knocking and taking what is needed. I tell this so that it is clear why at the first moment I was not surprised by what happened.

It was getting light, it was about six in the morning. I slept face and window. My sleep is always very sensitive. Suddenly, something blocked my light. I immediately opened my eyes and saw a plump woman in a dark brown dress standing next to our sofa. A small lace collar was pinned up with a small brooch. For several minutes she looked at me with interest, and I looked at her, thinking that she was some kind of a relative of my husband who was still unfamiliar with me. She looked over sixty. At first she looked at me sternly, then bent down and smiled. For a few seconds we looked into each other's eyes. After that, she nodded her head to me and headed for the door. I did not hear any sounds. In the morning I asked my husband who had come to visit my mother. He was very surprised and said that no one came. I described the guest's appearance as best I could. The mother-in-law and husband said that this is exactly what the grandmother, who died three years ago, looked like.

When my husband and I went to the cemetery where my grandmother was buried, on the slab of the monument I saw a ceramic portrait, by which I immediately recognized the one who came to our room at dawn. It was her husband's grandmother Anna Mikhailovna ”.

The ghost was so dense that it blocked the light. Moreover, it was not dressed in a shroud, having appeared according to the "last peep" of lifetime fashion.

METAL "MAN" IN FLIGHT

From April 15 to May 29, 1978 schoolboy Valentin Gubsky rested in the village. Gorki of the Pukhovitsky district of the Ryazan region:

“One evening I went for a walk with my peer friends. The weather was very bad, there was light rain, the ground was covered with an average density of fog, the clouds were low and thick. When we started to return home at 10-11 am, the fog began to thicken quickly. lit a cigarette.

Suddenly, bright flashes began to appear around us. At first, two red ones are next to us, slightly in front and to the side. Then another blue - behind and on the side, followed by another white - in front of us. The time intervals between the flashes were not the same, and it seemed to us that all this happened at the height of human height or slightly higher. Not attaching much importance to what had happened and considering the outbreaks to be thunderstorms, we continued to move. Immediately after the last flash, a monotonous low sound was heard over the hill, similar to the sound of a moped engine running. The sound source seemed to move.

One of the comrades lagged behind to light a cigarette, and we, turning in his direction, that is, back, suddenly on the right saw a shadow at a height of about 20 meters in the fog, similar in outline to a human. In fright and surprise, we watched her approaching us, after a while she changed the direction of flight and passed to the right of us.

As we approached us, its outlines became sharper, and we saw a “man.” His arms were spread apart, we did not see any engine, flame or exhaust. The sound was heard from a point in space that was above him. The speed with which he moved, was equal to about 60 km / h. The total duration of the observation was about 1 minute, but the details of his appearance were clearly visible only for about 15 seconds. Gradually moving away, the "man" and the sound disappeared.

There was something metallic about the "man". The build was proportional, the height of a normal adult. His body was wrapped in a black, tight-fitting jumpsuit. The material of the jumpsuit looked like a cloth covered with metal. At the bend of the elbows, where the shoulder meets the forearm. and also on the knees and calves of the feet, in the place where boots usually end, matte metal rings were visible, between which something connecting them was visible.

The legs of the "man" were shod in boots of the same dark color, but without heels. Rings were also visible on the wrists, but smaller in size. The hands were very flat and narrow and were tightly clenched, but not in a fist, they could be seen something like a thumb, the color of the brushes is the same as that of the whole shape.

The figure of the "man" was girdled with a belt, on which some devices were visible hanging on the left. The shape of the devices is unusual: a triangle with a cut off top or an irregular trapezoid. The color of the belt was the same, but it looked more like metal. The belt had an average width. On the back of the "man" we noticed something like a knapsack, in its outlines and dimensions reminiscent of a scuba diver's balloons, but balloons with sharp corners. On the side surfaces of the knapsack, something similar to the Zaporozhets' air intake turned in the opposite direction, however, its holes were located more often.

Probably, there weren't as many secrets as the USSR kept in any country in the world. The Iron Curtain hid everything that did not go well with the "beautiful Soviet life."

About the terrible nuclear accident that occurred in the Soviet Union in 1957, the whole world learned only thirty years later. The tragedy happened in the south of Russia near the city of Kyshtym. The accident occurred due to an explosion in a container in which radioactive waste was stored, this container was in the form of a stainless steel cylinder and was covered with concrete. Moreover, it was designed in such a way that in case of repair it was impossible to get close to it, probably because the developers did not have doubts about the strength of the structure.

At the end of September, the cooling systems went out of order, no one began to repair it, and it was simply turned off, a few days later an explosion thundered in a storage with 80 m3 of nuclear waste. The force of the explosion lifted some of the radioactive debris by one and a half kilometers, as a result of which a cloud was formed. Already twelve hours later, radioactive fallout fell within a radius of three hundred and fifty kilometers, they covered the territories of the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen regions, more than twenty thousand square kilometers were affected. As a result of the disaster, the houses of more than ten thousand people were destroyed, about three hundred thousand people suffered from radiation. For the first time, the US special services became aware of the tragedy in the 60s, but fearing a negative attitude towards nuclear tests, the world kept silent about it, and in 1976 a Soviet emigrant told the press about it. The USSR confirmed the information about the disaster only a few years after the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The Cold War between the USSR and the West dictated the condition of primacy in all branches of life. The same position was in the field of astronautics, where the USSR and the USA competed in who would be the first to launch a man into space. The Soviet Union strictly classified all data on the conducted research, and many names of the pilots - cosmonauts who had been preparing for flights for a long thirty years were classified. So it happened with Valentinov Bondarenko, a fighter pilot who was a member of the first space detachment of the USSR.

In 1960, he was selected to participate in training for space flight, and he became the fourth in a list of 29 pilots preparing for the first space flight. Unfortunately, he did not manage to fly.

The pilot underwent training necessary for space flight, one of the trainings was a ten-day stay in the isolation chamber at NII-7. The test meant being alone and quiet. However, fate played a cruel joke on him. During one of his medical studies, he made a mistake. After removing the sensors from the body, he wiped the places on the body on which they were fixed with alcohol, and threw out the cotton swab. The tampon hit the hot coil of the electric stove and burst into flames. Since almost all the air inside the pressure chamber consisted of pure oxygen, the fire instantly spread to the entire chamber and the pilot's woolen suit instantly caught fire ...

Unfortunately, the rescuers were unable to open the pressure chamber quickly, as there was a large pressure drop between it and the surrounding space. When Bondarenko was taken out of the isolation chamber, he was still alive, although he received burns for more than 98% of his body, his eyes, hair and skin were completely burned out, blood vessels could only be found on the soles of his feet. Being in a painful shock, the pilot whispered that he was in great pain. He was urgently transported to the Botkin hospital, where, despite the efforts of doctors, he died sixteen hours later from burn shock. Nineteen days later, Yuri Gagarin flew into space ...

A year later, in 1961, Valentin Bondarenko was awarded posthumously with the Order of the Red Star (posthumously), leaving his wife and young son. The state did not help the family, they only received a pension until the child came of age, they tried to forget about the family. Valentine was buried in Kharkov, the inscription "from friends - pilots" was carved on the obelisk, and it was only in the 80s that "cosmonauts of the USSR" were attributed.

All information about the incident with Valentin Bondarenko was classified until 1986, when the story of his death was described in the Izvestia newspaper.

For a very long time, all the data about the famine of 1932-1933 in some regions of the USSR were hushed up, they tried to forget about it and delete from history, as something that actually did not exist.

The policy of collectivization, food appropriation and grain procurement pursued by the Soviet regime led to the fact that terrible famines broke out in a number of territories of the Soviet Union, especially in Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Recently, theories have arisen that the famine in Ukraine was deliberately caused to eradicate the rebellious people, but this cannot be one hundred percent asserted. On purpose or not, this policy has taken the lives of millions of people.

It is also terrible that the terrible famine was hidden from foreign states, they did not know anything about it, or they knew, but did not want to heat up relations with Stalin. In order to hide all the horrors taking place in the USSR, the top management played real "performances" in front of foreign tourists and correspondents: the store counters were packed with all kinds of food, but ordinary citizens could not go there - any attempts ended in arrest. Sometimes such ideas reached the point of absurdity - the streets were washed out, and responsible party workers disguised themselves as peasants. It was not in vain that such performances were arranged, the French prime minister who visited Ukraine said that he was in a real “blooming garden”.

There is still no exact number of deaths from hunger, but some researchers call the figure up to seven million people, it is not for nothing that the census that the USSR conducted in 1937 was classified. Unfortunately, only in recent years was a true assessment of the events of the nightmares of 1932-33 in the Soviet Union given.

For a long time, the tragedy that occurred in the Katyn Forest was classified, and the world community pretended not to know anything about these events. The horrors of the mass execution of the USSR were hidden not without the help of Great Britain and the United States.

Relations between Poland and the USSR have always been very difficult. In 1939, the fourth partition of Poland took place, more than half a million Poles were in Soviet captivity, most of the Soviet authorities transferred to the German troops, and about forty thousand ended up in Soviet camps.

In 1940, Beria told Stalin that there were a lot of former Polish officers, intelligence officers and nationalists in camps on the territory of Poland and the Union. Thus, more than 25,000 Polish citizens were branded, whose past did not like the Soviet authorities. It was customary to examine their personal files with particular care and to shoot them. In April, those sentenced in groups of 350-400 people were taken to the Katyn forest for execution, an overcoat was thrown over their heads and shot in the back of the head near the ditch, while German-made pistols were used, later the USSR used this fact at the Nuremberg tribunal, trying to prove that the murders were committed Germans, during the occupation of the USSR. The USSR adhered to this opinion until 1990, categorically denying its guilt.

However, Great Britain and the United States knew about the fault of the Soviet Union. So Churchill, in unofficial conversations, confirmed that this was the work of the Bolsheviks, but at the same time imposed censorship on the British press in this matter. Roosevelt also did not want to openly blame Stalin, data that the government knew about the guilt of the Union surfaced in the United States only in 1952.

The arms race, which began immediately after the end of the war, gave a sharp impetus to the engineering and design developments of the Soviet Union. One of these new products is the Ekranoplan.

In the mid-1960s, an American spy satellite was able to capture images of an unfinished Soviet seaplane. The Americans were amazed at the sheer size of the flying ship - nothing like this had ever happened in the United States. Moreover, American experts said that such a huge wingspan would not even allow the plane to take off. The size was not the only oddity of the aircraft. Its engines were located too close to the nose of the craft than to its wings. However, the Americans did not manage to unravel the secrets of the flying object, until the collapse of the USSR.

The classified object turned out to be the Caspian Sea Monster - an ekranoplan, a kind of apparatus that combined an airplane and a ship that could fly just a few meters from the surface of the water.

The developments were highly classified, it was not even possible to mention the name of the device. Huge funds were allocated for the project, as the developers hoped that in the future such ecoplanes would be very useful. It was assumed that such "Monsters" will be able to transport hundreds of soldiers, tanks at a speed of about five hundred kilometers per hour, while they would be completely invisible to radars. The total mass of the ekranoplan with a load could reach five hundred tons. The aircraft was supposed to be equipped with economical engines that would consume less fuel than many cargo planes. In the course of development, the designers managed to build only one such ekronoplane, the length of which was two and a half times the Boeing, it was equipped with eight jet engines and six nuclear warheads.

During the first flight of the ekranoplan, which was built at the Nizhny Novgorod plant and the Ordzhonikidze Aircraft Building Plant, the giant's designer Rostislav Alekseev sat at the helm. The tests lasted fifteen years, and in 1980, during an accident, the ekranoplan was destroyed.

Unfortunately, the Soviet people were often characterized by negligence and disregard for their work, which very often led to accidents and disasters. One of such large-scale disasters was the Nedelin disaster. It happened during preparations for the first launch of the R-16 intercontinental missile.

Half an hour before the alleged launch of the rocket, one of the engines was launched, as a result, the fuel tanks were destroyed, and the rocket fuel began to ignite. During the investigation, it was revealed that a breakthrough occurred in the membrane of one of the tanks the day before, and the fuel was not drained in violation of the instructions. To speed up the preparation for the launch, an external ampoule battery was installed on board the rocket, an hour before the launch, which led to the appearance of voltage in the rocket's electrical circuits, which led to a short circuit of contacts and an explosion.

According to all the rules, the rocket had to be sent for rechecking, and this would have dragged on for several months. Commander-in-chief of the missile forces, Mitrofan Nedelin, commanded the launch of the rocket. The explosion took place on a terrifying scale - all people on the launch site died, the temperature was so enormous that the surface of the site was melted, because of which no one was able to escape - everyone burned to death. More than eighty people died in the crash, about fifty were injured.

All information about the disaster was carefully classified, no official statements were made. It was announced that the commander of the missile forces M. Nedelin had died in a plane crash. All the relatives of the victims were told that their relatives had died in an accident. However, information and tragedies still got into the foreign media, and already at the end of 1960, the Italians reported about the disaster, where one hundred people died, and five years later in England, one of the exposed Soviet intelligence officers confirmed the information about the disaster. The USSR first announced the disaster only in 1989 in the Ogonyok magazine, where an essay was published.

At the end of the forties, the Soviet Union established a top-secret laboratory on one of the islands of the Aral Sea, which was engaged in the development of the latest biological weapons. The main developments were carried out with the viruses of bubonic plague and anthrax. Later, smallpox joined these strains.

So it is believed that in 1971 they managed to develop a vaccine-resistant smallpox virus, which in 1990 may have been sold to Iraq as a bacteriological weapon. It was in 1971 that the developed virus was tested outdoors, leading to a violent outbreak of smallpox. Infection was detected in ten people. Quarantine was urgently introduced for several hundred people, and more than fifty thousand local residents of the Aral Sea region were vaccinated. All data on the outbreak of smallpox were classified, they learned about it only at the beginning of the 21st century, since the Russian authorities also did not recognize what happened.

In Soviet times, there were cities that were not marked on more than one map, only those who lived there knew about their existence. Such cities received their status due to the placement of secret objects of state importance in them. It was impossible for an ordinary person to get there because of the strictest access system and the secrecy of the city's location. As a rule, they were given the names of the regional center with the addition of a number, for example Penza - 19. Such secrecy often helped to hide the disasters that happened here, as in the case of the radioactive disaster in Chelyabinsk - 65. However, these cities had their advantages - they were well supplied. there was always a scarce commodity, and the crime rate was almost zero. It was very difficult to get a job in such a city - they checked relatives almost up to the 5th generation.

Each of these cities had its own secret specifics. So, in Zagorsk - 6 was the Virological Institute, Arzamas - 16 was engaged in nuclear weapons, in Sverdlovsk-45 they were engaged in uranium enrichment. Later, relatives of residents were allowed to come to some cities, but for this they underwent a strict check in special bodies. In total, according to available data, there were forty-two closed cities in the Union, but fifteen of them are still closed.

Communist Russia was an example of openness and political transparency. This is not a common statement, at least outside North Korea. (Although, if you've read this, chances are you're not there.) Either way, this sarcasm serves as a reminder that the Soviet Union really did like to keep secrets - here are ten secrets that you may not have known about.

10. The largest nuclear disaster in the world (at that time)
When people hear about the biggest nuclear disasters, most people think of Chernobyl and Fukushima. Few people know about the third nuclear disaster - the Kyshtym accident in 1957, which occurred near the city of Kyshtym in southern Russia. As in the case of the Chernobyl accident, the main reason for the disaster was poor design, namely the construction of a cooling system that could not be repaired. When coolant began to flow from one of the tanks, the workers simply turned it off and did not touch it for a whole year. Who needs cooling systems in Siberia?

It turns out that cooling is needed for containers in which radioactive waste is stored. The temperature in the tank rose to 350 degrees Celsius, which eventually led to an explosion that threw a 160 tonne concrete cover into the air (which was originally 8 meters underground). Radioactive substances spread over 20,000 square kilometers.

The homes of 11,000 people were destroyed after the evacuation of the surrounding area, and about 270,000 people were exposed to radioactive effects. It was only in 1976 that the Soviet emigrant first mentioned the catastrophe in the Western press. The CIA had known about the disaster since the 1960s, but, fearing negative American attitudes towards their own nuclear industry, decided to downplay the severity of the accident. Only in 1989, three years after the Chernobyl accident, the details of the disaster in Kyshtym became known to the public.

9. Manned lunar program

In May 1961, US President John F. Kennedy announced that he believed the US should send a man to the moon by the end of the decade. By that time, the Soviet Union was leading the space race - the first object launched into orbit, the first animal in orbit, and the first man in space. However, on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first person to visit the moon, thereby defeating the Soviet Union in this race. In a race in which the Soviet Union did not officially take part - until 1990, the USSR denied that they had their own manned lunar program. It was part of the policy that every space program was kept secret until it succeeded.

The Soviet Union had to partially acknowledge the existence of the program in August 1981, when the Soviet satellite Kosmos-434, launched in 1971, entered the atmosphere over Australia. The Australian government, concerned that nuclear material might be on board, was reassured by the USSR Foreign Minister that the satellite was an experimental lunar ship.

Other details of the program, including test runs, were hidden. The test of lunar spacesuits during the docking of spaceships in 1969 was presented as part of the construction of the space station - the USSR continued to claim that they had no plans to land on the moon. As a result, the failed Soviet lunar landing program was canceled in 1976.

8. Treasure of creativity

In the 1990s, Western journalists and diplomats were invited to a secret museum tucked away in the remote city of Nukus, Uzbekistan. The museum housed hundreds of works of art dating from the beginning of the Stalinist regime, when artists were forced to conform to the ideals of the Communist Party. "Decaying bourgeois creativity" was replaced by paintings from factories, and without the participation of Igor Savitsky (the collector), most of the work of artists of that time would have been completely lost.

Savitsky urged artists and their families to entrust him with their work. He hid them in Nukus, a city surrounded by hundreds of kilometers of desert.

This is a unique item on this list as it tells about what was hidden not so much from the outside world as from the despotic regime. Despite the fact that the question of the importance of creativity itself remains open, the value of the story of how creativity was kept secret for decades is beyond doubt.

7. Death of an astronaut

The Soviet Union more than once "erased" astronauts from its history. So, for example, the data about the first cosmonaut who died during the space race was hidden. Valentin Bondarenko died during training in March 1961. Its existence in the West was not known until 1982, and public recognition followed only in 1986. The faint of heart should refrain from reading the next paragraph.

During an isolation exercise in a pressure chamber, Bondarenko made a fatal mistake. After removing the medical transducer and cleaning his skin with rubbing alcohol, he threw cotton wool on the hot stove that he used to make himself tea, after which it burst into flames. When he tried to extinguish the fire with his sleeve, the atmosphere, which was 100% oxygen, caused his clothes to burst into flames. It took several minutes to open the door. By that time, the astronaut had suffered third-degree burns to his entire body, except for his feet - the only place where the doctor could find blood vessels. Bondarenko's skin, hair and eyes were burnt. He whispered, "It hurts too much ... do something to stop the pain." He died sixteen hours later.

Denying this incident just to avoid bad news was a very bad decision.

6. Mass famine is one of the worst in history
Many have heard about the famine (famine) of 1932, but internal and external attempts to hide this fact are worthy of mention. In the early 1930s, Soviet policy resulted (whether intentionally or not) in the deaths of several million people.

It would seem that this is difficult to hide from the outside world, but fortunately for Stalin and his subordinates, the rest of the world hesitated between deliberate ignorance and denial of facts.

The New York Times, like the rest of the American press, covered up or downplayed the famine in the USSR. Stalin organized several pre-arranged tours for foreign commissions: the shops were filled with food, but anyone who dared to approach the store was arrested; the streets were washed and all the peasants were replaced by members of the Communist Party. HG Wells from England and George Bernard Shaw from Ireland said the famine rumors were unfounded. Moreover, after the French prime minister visited Ukraine, he described it as a "blooming garden."

By the time the 1937 census results were classified, the famine had already been overcome. Despite the fact that the number of victims of the Holodomor is comparable to the Holocaust, the assessment of the famine as a crime against humanity has been given only in the last ten years.

5. WIG

In 1966, an American spy satellite captured an unfinished Russian seaplane. The plane was larger than any aircraft owned by the United States. It was so large that, according to experts, such a wingspan would not allow the aircraft to fly well. Even stranger was the fact that the aircraft's engines were much closer to the nose than to the wings. Americans were puzzled and puzzled until the USSR collapsed 25 years later. The Caspian Sea Monster, as it was called then, was an ekranoplan - a vehicle similar to a mixture of an airplane and a ship that flies just a few meters from the water.

Even mentioning the name of the device was forbidden to those who participated in its development, despite the fact that huge sums of money were allocated for the project. In the long term, these devices, of course, were very useful. They could carry hundreds of soldiers or even several tanks at a speed of 500 km / h, while remaining undetected by radars. They are even more fuel efficient than the best modern cargo aircraft. The Soviet Union even built one such device, 2.5 times longer than the Boeing 747, equipped with 8 jet engines and six nuclear warheads on the roof (what else can be installed on a jet plane-ship to deliver tanks?)

4. Worst rocket disaster ever

The disregard for health and safety was not limited to nuclear waste. On October 23, 1960, a new secret rocket, the R-16, was being prepared for launch in the Soviet Union. There were many specialists near the launcher, which contained a rocket using a new type of fuel. A nitric acid leak was formed in the rocket - the only correct solution in this case was to start evacuating everyone who was nearby.

However, instead, project commander Mitrofan Nedelin ordered to patch the leak. When the explosion occurred, everyone on the launch pad was immediately killed. The fireball was hot enough to melt the surface of the site, causing many who tried to escape to get stuck in place and burned alive. More than a hundred people died as a result of the incident. It remains the worst rocket crash in history.

Soviet propaganda immediately began its work. It was alleged that Nedelin died in a plane crash. The reports of the explosion were presented as rumors that gripped the USSR. The first confirmation of the incident appeared only in 1989. To date, a monument has been erected dedicated to those who died in that disaster (but not to Nedelin himself). Although he remains officially a hero, those with any connection to this disaster remember him as the man responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people entrusted to him.

3. Smallpox outbreak (and containment program)
In 1948, a classified biological weapons laboratory was established in the Soviet Union on an island in the Aral Sea. The laboratory was engaged in the transformation of anthrax and bubonic plague into weapons. They also developed smallpox weapons and even conducted an outdoor test in 1971. By a mysterious coincidence, a weapon designed to cause a smallpox outbreak when activated outdoors did indeed trigger a smallpox outbreak. Ten people fell ill, three died. Hundreds of people were quarantined, and in 2 weeks 50 thousand people from the surrounding areas were vaccinated against smallpox.

The incident became widely known only in 2002. The outbreak was effectively prevented, however, despite the scale of the incident, Moscow did not acknowledge what happened. This is unfortunate, as there were valuable lessons to be learned from this incident about what could happen if biological weapons were ever to fall into the hands of terrorists.

2. Dozens of cities

In the south of Russia there is a city that was not on any map. There were no bus routes that stopped in it, and road signs confirming its existence. Postal addresses in it were listed as Chelyabinsk-65, although Chelyabinsk was almost 100 kilometers from it. Its current name is Ozersk and, despite the fact that tens of thousands of people lived in it, the existence of the city was unknown even in Russia until 1986. The secrecy was caused by the presence here of a plant for the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel. An explosion occurred at this plant in 1957, but due to secrecy, the disaster was named after the city, which was located a few kilometers from Ozersk. This city was Kyshtym.

Ozersk is one of the dozens of secret cities in the USSR. At the moment, 42 such cities are known, but it is believed that about 15 more cities are still under the cover of secrecy. The inhabitants of these cities were provided with better food, schools and comfortable conditions than the rest of the country. Those still living in such cities cling to their isolation - the few outsiders allowed to visit the cities are usually escorted by guards.

In an increasingly open and global world, many are leaving closed cities and there is likely to be some limit to how long these cities can remain closed. However, many of these cities continue to fulfill their original function - whether it is producing plutonium or supporting the navy.

1. Katyn execution
As with the 1932 famine, the international denial of the Katyn massacre earned the first place on this list for these killings. In the 1940s, NKVD officers killed over 22,000 Polish prisoners and buried them in mass graves. According to the official version, the Nazi troops were responsible for this. The truth was recognized only in 1990. So far, everything is predictable - however, this concealment of the crime got to the first place on the list due to the fact that it was possible to hide the shooting by the forces not only of the Soviet Union, but also with the help of the leaders of the United States and Great Britain.

Winston Churchill confirmed in an informal conversation that the execution was most likely carried out by the Bolsheviks, who "can be very cruel." However, he insisted that the Polish government in exile stop filing charges, censor its press, Churchill also helped prevent an independent investigation of the incident by the International Committee of the Red Cross. The British Ambassador to Poland described it as "using England's good reputation to cover up what the killers had hidden with pine needles." Franklin Roosevelt also did not want Stalin to blame for the executions.

Evidence that the US government knew about the true culprits of the Katyn massacre was hidden during the 1952 parliamentary hearings. Moreover, the only government that spoke the truth about those events was the government of Nazi Germany. This is another sentence that you rarely read.

It is easy to criticize the leaders of countries who effectively left criminals unpunished, but Germany and then Japan were more important issues, which meant that sometimes very difficult decisions had to be made. The Soviet Union, with its military and industrial superpower, was needed. "The government blames only the common enemy for these events," Churchill wrote.

Gorbachev's silence

Making the announcement of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant only two weeks after the tragedy, the then General Secretary of the party caused a lot of rumors: why was he silent? Now this is explained by the fact that there were simply no suitable dosimeters capable of measuring such a strong background radiation.

Biological weapons

There is evidence that back in 1942, Stalin used biological weapons against the Germans, infecting them with tularemia with the help of rats (the version has not been confirmed). But it is known for sure that the development of such weapons was very active. Where they are today, what has become of them - the public does not know.

Caribbean crisis

Why did Cuba host the USSR's nuclear weapons, and what did Nikita Khrushchev say to Fidel and Raul Castro, as well as Che Guevara? The secret minutes of these negotiations, dated 1962, have not been seen to this day.

Operation KGB "Flute"

When the "traitor to the Motherland" (for the Americans, of course) - a scientist from the United States Ken Alibek - fled to the USSR and became the head of the biological weapons program, the main goal of Operation Flute was the development of psychotropic substances for special operations and even political assassinations. How it all ended, only Alibek himself knows.

Kremlin fears

They say that in 1981, Yuri Andropov was simply in a panic, from day to day expecting a US nuclear attack. The KGB and the GRU had his clear orders to track any information about this, and most of the intelligence bit by bit collected information about the American exercises - not a veiled, they say, preparation for war?

Ural bunker

It was rumored that the underground bunker "Grotto" in the Urals was in fact the headquarters of the strategic missile forces, the only one in the country capable of surviving a nuclear attack. The Americans are still puzzling over why was it built?

Defense budget

Intelligence efficiency of the USSR

Are Russian scouts good? - ask their overseas colleagues. If the guys had watched the legendary film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" at least once, the question would have disappeared by itself, I'm sure the men's online magazine M PORT. Nevertheless, there is a version that the Soviet "spies" reported to the top management only what the elderly bosses wanted to hear - and nothing from above.

Well, it will take a long time to guess where the truth is and where the fiction is: Soviet secrets are Soviet, so that no one will ever know them. Except for the Soviet people themselves, of course - which we all remain in our hearts.

Are you interested in the secrets of our past?

On March 13, 1954, the Chekists were removed from the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs, a new department was formed: the State Security Committee of the CCCP - KGB.

The new structure was in charge of intelligence, operational search activities and the protection of the state border. In addition, the task of the KGB was to provide the Central Committee of the CPSU with information affecting state security.

The concept is broad, to be sure: it covers both the personal life of dissidents and the study of unidentified flying objects.

It is almost impossible to separate truth from fiction, to recognize disinformation intended for "controlled leakage". So, to believe or not to believe in the truth of the declassified secrets and mysteries of the KGB archives is everyone's personal right.

The current security officers who worked in the structure during its heyday, some with a smile, some with irritation brush aside: no secret developments were carried out, nothing paranormal was studied. But, like any other closed organization that has an impact on the fate of people, the KGB did not manage to avoid a hoax.

The activities of the committee were overgrown with rumors and legends, and even partial declassification of the archives could not dispel them. Moreover, the archives of the former KGB underwent a serious cleaning in the mid-50s. In addition, the wave of declassification that began in 1991-1992 quickly subsided, and now the disclosure of data is proceeding at an almost imperceptible pace.

Hitler: Died or Escaped?

Controversy about the circumstances of Hitler's death has not subsided since May 1945. Did he commit suicide or was the body of a double found in the bunker? What happened to the remains of the Fuhrer?

In February 1962, trophy documents of World War II were transferred to the TsGAOR of the USSR (the modern State Archives of the Russian Federation). And along with them are fragments of a skull and an armrest of a sofa with traces of blood.

Vasily Khristoforov, head of the FSB's registration and archival funds, told Interfax that the remains were found during an investigation into the disappearance of the former German Reich President in 1946. The forensic examination identified the partially charred remains as fragments of the parietal bones and the occipital bone of an adult. The act of May 8, 1945 states: the discovered pieces of the skull "may have fallen off the corpse removed from the pit on May 5, 1945".

"The documentary materials with the results of the re-investigation were combined into a case with the symbolic name" Myth. " became available to the general public, "- said the interlocutor of the agency.

What remained of the top of the Nazi elite and did not end up in the KGB archives did not immediately find rest: the bones were repeatedly reburied, and on March 13, 1970, Andropov ordered the seizure and destruction of the remains of Hitler, Brown and the Goebbels couple. This is how the plan of the "Archive" secret event, carried out by the operational group of the Special Department of the KGB of the 3rd Army of the GSVG, appeared. Two acts were drawn up. The latter reads: "The destruction of the remains was carried out by burning them at a stake in a vacant lot near the city of Schonebeck, 11 kilometers from Magdeburg. The remains burned out, together with coal crushed into ash, collected and thrown into the Biederitz River."

It is difficult to say what Andropov was guided by when he gave such an order. Most likely, he feared - and not unreasonably - that even after a while the fascist regime would find followers, and the burial place of the ideologue of the dictatorship would become a place of pilgrimage.

By the way, in 2002, the Americans announced that they had X-ray images that were kept by the dentist, SS Oberführer Hugo Blaschke. Verification with the fragments available in the archives of the Russian Federation once again confirmed the authenticity of the parts of Hitler's jaw.

But despite seemingly irrefutable evidence, the version that the Fuhrer managed to leave Germany, occupied by Soviet troops, does not leave modern researchers alone. They are looking for him, as a rule, in Patagonia. Indeed, Argentina after World War II gave shelter to many Nazis who tried to escape justice. There were even witnesses that Hitler, along with other fugitives, appeared here in 1947. It is hard to believe: even the official radio of fascist Germany on that memorable day announced the death of the Fuhrer in an unequal struggle against Bolshevism.

Marshal Georgy Zhukov was the first to question the fact of Hitler's suicide. A month after the victory, he said: "The situation is very mysterious. We did not find the identified body of Hitler. I cannot say anything in the affirmative about the fate of Hitler. At the very last minute, he could fly out of Berlin, since the runways allowed this to be done." It was June 10th. And the body was found on May 5, the autopsy report was dated May 8. ... Why did the question about the authenticity of the Fuhrer's body arise only a month later?

The official version of Soviet historians is as follows: on April 30, 1945, Hitler and his wife Eva Braun committed suicide by taking potassium cyanide. At the same time, according to eyewitnesses, the Fuhrer shot himself. By the way, when opening the mouth, glass was found, which speaks in favor of the version with poison.

Unidentified flying objects

Anton Pervushin, in his author's investigation, cites one illustrative story characterizing the attitude of the KGB to the phenomenon. This story was once loved by the writer and assistant to the chairman of the committee Igor Sinitsyn, who worked for Yuri Andropov from 1973 to 1979.

“Once, while looking through the foreign press, I came across a series of articles about unidentified flying objects - UFOs ... I dictated to a stenographer in Russian an extract from them and, together with the magazines, carried them to the chairman.…. He quickly flipped through the materials. After thinking a little, he Suddenly he took out a thin folder from a drawer on his desk. The folder contained a report from one of the officers of the 3rd Directorate, that is, military counterintelligence, "Sinitsyn recalled.

The information conveyed to Andropov could well become the plot of a science fiction film: an officer, being on a night fishing trip with his friends, watched as one of the stars approached the Earth and took the form of an aircraft. The navigator estimated the size and location of the object by eye: diameter - about 50 meters, height - about five hundred meters above sea level.

"He saw two bright beams emerge from the center of the UFO. One of the beams stood vertically to the surface of the water and rested on it. Another beam, like a searchlight, scanned the waters around the boat. Suddenly it stopped, illuminating the boat. Shining a few more on it. seconds, the beam went out. Together with it, the second, vertical beam went out, "- quoted the report of the counterintelligence officer Sinitsyn.

According to his own testimony, these materials later came to Kirilenko and, over time, seemed to be lost in the archives. This is roughly what the skeptics reduce the KGB's probable interest in the UFO problem: to pretend that it is interesting, but in fact to bury the materials in the archives as potentially insignificant.

In November 1969, almost 60 years after the fall of the Tunguska meteorite (which, according to some researchers, was not a fragment of a celestial body, but a wrecked spacecraft), there was a message about another fall of an unidentified object on the territory of the Soviet Union. Not far from the village of Berezovsky in the Sverdlovsk region, several glowing balls were seen in the sky, one of which began to lose altitude, fell, then a strong explosion followed. In the late 1990s, a number of media outlets obtained a film that allegedly captured the work of investigators and scientists at the site of the alleged UFO crash in the Urals. The work was supervised by "a man who looked like a KGB worker."

“Our family was living in Sverdlovsk at that time, and my relatives even worked in the regional party committee. However, even there, almost no one knew the whole truth about the incident. ; those who saw the UFO preferred not to spread. The disk was taken out, presumably, in the dark, in order to avoid unnecessary witnesses, "- recalled the contemporaries of the events.

It is noteworthy that even the ufologists themselves, people who were initially disposed to believe in the stories about UFOs, criticized these videos: the uniforms of Russian soldiers, their manner of holding weapons, cars flickering in the frame - all this did not inspire confidence even among susceptible people. True, the denial of one particular video does not mean that adherents of the UFO belief give up their beliefs.

Vladimir Azhazha, a ufologist, an acoustic engineer by training, said this: "Does the state hide any information about UFOs from the public, I suppose so. On what grounds? Based on the list of information constituting state and military secrets. Indeed, in In 1993, at the written request of the then president of the UFO Association, pilot-cosmonaut Pavel Popovich, the State Security Committee of the Russian Federation handed over 1300 documents related to UFOs to the UFO center headed by me. These were reports from official bodies, commanders of military units, messages from private individuals. "

Occult interests

In the 1920s and 1930s, a prominent figure of the Cheka / OGPU / NKVD (predecessor of the KGB) Gleb Bokiy, the one who created laboratories for the development of drugs to influence the minds of those arrested, became interested in the study of extrasensory perception and even looked for the legendary Shambhala.

After his execution in 1937, folders with the results of the experiments allegedly ended up in the secret archives of the KGB. After Stalin's death, some of the documents were irretrievably lost, the rest settled in the basements of the committee. Under Khrushchev, the work continued: America was worried about the rumors periodically coming from overseas about the invention of biogenerators, mechanisms that control thinking.

Separately, it is worth mentioning another object of close attention of Soviet security officials - the famous mentalist Wolf Messing. Despite the fact that he himself, and later his biographers, willingly shared intriguing stories about the outstanding abilities of a hypnotist, the KGB archives have not preserved any documentary evidence of Messing's "miracles". In particular, there is no information in either Soviet or German documents that Messing fled Germany after predicting the fall of fascism, and Hitler appointed a reward for his head. Also, it is impossible to confirm or deny the data that Messing personally met with Stalin and that he tested his outstanding abilities, forcing him to perform certain tasks.

On the other hand, information about Ninel Kulagina, who in 1968 attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies with her extraordinary abilities, has been preserved. The abilities of this woman (or their lack?) Are still controversial: among lovers of the supernatural, she is revered as a pioneer, and among the learned fraternity, her achievements cause at least an ironic smile.

Meanwhile, a video chronicle of those years recorded how Kulagina, without the help of her hand or any devices, rotates the compass needle, moves small objects, such as a matchbox. The woman complained during the experiments of back pain, and her pulse was 180 beats per minute. Its secret was, allegedly, in the fact that the energy field of the hands, due to the superconcentration of the subject, could move objects that fell into the zone of his influence.

It is also known that after the end of World War II, a unique device made by Hitler's personal order came to the Soviet Union as a trophy: it served for astrological predictions of a military-political nature. The device was defective, but Soviet engineers restored it, and it was transferred to the astronomical station near Kislovodsk.

Knowledgeable people said that Major General of the FSB Georgy Rogozin (in 1992-1996, the former first deputy chief of the presidential security service and who received the nickname "Nostradamus in uniform" for his studies of astrology and telekinesis) used captured SS archives related to occult sciences in his research.
