Transfer of Unified State Exam points according to the profile. Converting exam scores in mathematics

Every graduate understands perfectly well that in order to successfully enter the specialty of interest, it is necessary to thoroughly prepare for the Unified State Exam 2018 and score the maximum possible points. What does it mean to “pass the exam well” and how many points will be enough to compete for a budget place in a particular university? This will be discussed in this article.

We will cover the following important questions:

First of all, it is important to understand that there is:

  • the minimum score giving the right to receive a certificate;
  • the minimum score that allows you to apply to a university;
  • the minimum score sufficient for actual admission to the budget in a specific specialty at a certain university in Russia.

Naturally, these figures differ significantly.

Minimum certification score

The minimum USE certification scores are established for compulsory subjects - Russian language and basic level mathematics and in 2018 are:

Having passed this threshold, but not reaching the minimum test score, the examinee will receive a certificate, but will not be able to submit documents to the university.

Minimum test score

The test minimum is a threshold value that gives the right to enter a university. In other words, persons who have passed the test threshold theoretically have the right to enter the competition for budget places. Although, in practice, it is almost impossible to enter highly ranked universities with minimal indicators.

In 2018, in all subjects except Russian language and basic mathematics, the minimum Unified State Exam test scores coincide with the certification scores and are:

Mathematics (basic level)

Mathematics (profile level)

Social science

Literature

Foreign language

Biology

Computer science

Geography

The principle of calculating success in passing the unified state exam assumes that the test taker must demonstrate a high, average or sufficient level of knowledge, corresponding to grades “5”, “4” and “3” on the school scale.

In case of an unsatisfactory result, as well as when passing with a score that the examinee considers insufficient for himself, graduates are given the right to retake the Unified State Exam.

Minimum score for admission to the budget

Most universities announce the threshold score required for applicants for a budget place. This allows each applicant to realistically assess the prospects for admission and choose universities and specialties taking into account the points scored on the Unified State Exam.

In 2018, we can be guided by the fact that last season the average passing scores in all Unified State Exam subjects among applicants admitted to MGIMO and other highly ranked universities in the capital fluctuated between the threshold value of 80-90. But, for most regional universities in the Russian Federation, 65-75 points can be considered a competitive result.

Converting the primary score to the resulting score

By completing the tasks proposed in the Unified State Examination ticket, the examinee gains so-called primary points, the maximum value of which varies depending on the subject. When assessing the level of knowledge, such primary scores are converted into final scores, which are entered into the certificate and are the basis for admission.

Using an online calculator, you can compare primary and test scores in subjects of interest.

Just like last year, in 2018 the points scored while passing the Unified State Exam influence the certificate score and, although the official table for comparing test scores and traditional assessments has not been adopted, you can roughly compare your scores right now using a universal calculator.

Please note that the average passing scores for different specialties at the same university may vary significantly. This figure reflects the minimum score of applicants admitted to the budget, and tends to change every year. The results of 2017 can only serve as a kind of guideline for applicants in 2018, motivating them to achieve the highest possible results.

The minimum passing score is influenced by many factors, including:

  1. the total number of graduates who applied and the scores shown on their certificates;
  2. the number of applicants who provided original documents;
  3. number of beneficiaries.

So, seeing your name in 20th place in the list of a specialty that provides 40 budget places, you can confidently consider yourself a student. But, even if you find yourself on this list of 45, there is no reason to be upset if among those standing in front of you there are 5-10 people who provided copies of documents, because most likely these people are set on another university and submitted documents for this specialty as a backup option .

The results of the unified state exam in our country for all graduates are assessed on a special scale, the maximum value of which for each individual exam is one hundred points. These points are test or final, but they are not assigned directly after checking and evaluating the work. Initially, the results of each student’s work are assessed in primary points, the maximum number of which ranges from thirty-seven to eighty. To convert primary scores into test scores, a special procedure called scaling is provided. This procedure involves taking into account statistical materials obtained as a result of the unified state exam during the current year, which directly affects the final number of test points.

What are the primary scores for the Unified State Exam?

During the first check of the results of the unified state exam in any subject, the graduate’s work is assessed in primary points. Each answer in the exam has a certain coefficient, which determines the number of points awarded for a correctly completed task. Direct addition of these points allows you to get a certain number of primary points. Their maximum value is for each subject, so there is no single highest number of primary points. For different disciplines, their maximum amount varies between 37-80 units, and the specific value can be found out when completing the test version of the Unified State Exam.

How are raw scores converted to test scores?

The primary scores received by a graduate as a result of passing the unified state exam in a specific discipline are converted into test scores using a special technique called scaling. Test scores differ significantly from the primary scores; these values should not be confused, since for the student the determining factor is the number of test scores scored, which are taken into account for further admission to educational institutions to obtain a profession. For each subject, their maximum value is common and is one hundred units. The scaling procedure involves taking into account exam statistical data and converting primary scores into test scores using special rules.

When solving problems in physics, we should remember that they reflect the physical reality of the world around us. The solution to any problem, even a very simple one, must begin with recognition of the phenomenon and its mental representation. And only after this can you begin to make a decision.

Instructions

Then check whether all given values are in the same system (GHS, SI, etc.). In the case when the quantities are in different systems, express them in units of the system that is accepted for the problem. Think about the content of the problem and determine the section of physics to which it belongs, as well as which ones need to be applied to it. After determining the applicable ones, write down the formulas corresponding to these laws.

Define? Are all the parameters used in the formula known? If it turns out that the number of unknowns is greater than the number of equations, then add the equations that follow from the figure and the conditions. Adhere to this principle: the number of unknowns in the problem, so many formulas should be there.

Solve the system of equations. Solve the problem in general form, namely in letter notation. After solving the problem in general form, check the dimension of the resulting value. For this purpose, substitute not numbers into the formula, but the dimensions of the quantities that are in it. The solution is made correctly if the answer corresponds to the dimension of the desired quantity.

Substitute numerical values into the formula and calculate.
Now analyze and then formulate an answer. To learn how to solve problems in physics, solve them daily. After such training, each subsequent problem will be solved faster and faster. The acquired ability to solve problems in physics will be useful not only at school, but also when studying at universities.

The Unified State Exam (USE) is a centrally conducted exam in Russia in secondary educational institutions - lyceums and schools. The Unified State Exam is considered both a graduation exam from school and an entrance exam to colleges and universities. Throughout the Russian Federation, when conducting such an exam, the same type of tasks and uniform methods for assessing the quality of work are used.

Instructions

As you know, each task completed during the Unified State Examination will be assessed with a certain number of points. When processing exam results, at the first stage, the primary score is calculated - the simple sum of all points scored for completed tasks. Next, you need primary tests. For this, a rather intricate one is used.

For each subject, two standard point values are established - the so-called limit values. The first limit value is the minimum number of points that must be scored in order for the exam to be considered successfully passed. The second boundary value is a higher indicator. Those whose primary score is equal to or exceeds the second limit value are characterized as graduates with a high level of knowledge. For example, in 2011, the first limit value for the Russian language was 17, the second limit value was 50.

Next, among those who took the Unified State Exam in the previous year, two are selected whose primary score is as close as possible to the first limit value (one has a slightly lower primary score, and the second has a slightly higher score). The arithmetic mean of these two numbers is calculated, thus obtaining the previous year's test score corresponding to the current year's test score. The minimum primary score is assigned a value of 0, the maximum primary score is assigned a value of 100. Based on the resulting scale, all intermediate primary scores are converted into test scores.

Video on the topic

note

For example, if the minimum primary score is 17, and the maximum primary score is 50, then as a result of the described calculation procedure, 17 points will be assigned a value of 0, and 50 points will correspond to 100. The resulting scale is used to convert individual primary scores into test scores. In our example, those who scored 17 or less primary points as a result of scaling will receive 0 test points. Those who score 50 or more initial points will receive 100 test points. Accordingly, those who score 36 points will receive 50 points, etc.

Helpful advice

To convert primary scores into test scores, a special complex formula is used, which allows calculations to be made with an accuracy of hundredths. The results obtained are rounded to the nearest whole number. This number is the final result of the exam.

The Unified State Exam (USE) has become mandatory for admission to Russian universities. Now not only yesterday’s schoolchildren must take it, but also graduates of secondary specialized educational institutions (SSUZ), and just people. graduated from school several years ago. And after passing the exam, applicants anxiously await the results of this important testing for several days. So how can you tell if you've achieved the required scores?

You will need

  • - computer;
  • - Internet access;
  • - passport.

Instructions

See if you can find out your exam results online. To do this, find the website of the Regional Information Processing Center (RCIC) for your place of residence. It will tell you if the exam results are available.

10 days after the exam, go to the website of your RCSC. Enter your personal data in the appropriate fields - last name, first name and patronymic, as well as passport series and number. If the data is entered correctly, you will receive the following information: the name of the subject in which you were examined, the date of passing, the points for and the maximum number of points you could receive (for primary scores this is 60), data on how many students received equal or higher what your scores are, and finally, your Unified State Exam scores on a 100-point scale. The last indicator is the most important - it determines the applicant’s place in the ranking for a certain specialty.

If the RCIO in your region does not provide information online, find out the results in another way. If you are a student, the results will be available at your school a few days after the test.

If you are a graduate of a secondary school or simply graduated from school more than a year ago, find out the results at the educational institution where you took the exam. Some universities that undergo one of the testing stages also post the results on the Internet on their websites. At the same time, the list of those who passed the exam with scores may be publicly available, and you will be able to compare your results with the scores of other applicants in order to better understand your chances of admission to your desired university.

note

If you want to find out the results of a unified exam online, remember about the security of your personal data. Never enter your passport number on dubious sites; use only official portals of information processing centers.

The Unified State Exam (USE) in physics is not taken by all school graduates, but only by those who intend to enter higher education institutions for a technical specialty. According to statistics, approximately one fifth of all eleventh graders choose this academic discipline.

You will need

  • Internet access, certificate of results of the unified state exam.

Instructions

Determine the need to pass the Unified State Exam, which is quite complex. About 5-7% of those who took it failed. If you decide, be sure to test your knowledge using USE demo tests. Or take the test.

Assess your level of preparation for the Unified State Exam. Search online from reputable websites for various mock tests from different years and solve them. Although the structure of testing in physics is changing slightly, but not globally. For example, in 2012, the topics of questions and criteria for assignments were modified. However, the total number of jobs and their type are retained. There are still tasks of basic (part A - 25 pieces) and increased (part B - 4 pieces) complexity, as well as section C, 6 tasks of which require. However, only two-thirds of all those taking the exam have time to start the last part.

Find out the results of the Unified State Exam for free via the Internet. Enter your first, last name and passport details into the search form on a specialized website. Or contact the Unified State Examination office for information. The results must be available no later than 3 working days after the announcement of the minimum scores, which are set 4 days after the exam. In hard-to-reach regions, Unified State Exam results may arrive 1-2 days later.

Compare your USE result in physics with the relatively low average result. In past years, it was approximately 51. At the same time, the minimum score last year was 34.

After checking the Unified State Exam tasks in mathematics, a primary score is assigned for their completion:

  • For basic level in mathematics – from 0 to 20;
  • For a specialized level in mathematics – from 0 to 30.

Each task is worth a certain number of points: the more difficult the task, the more points you can get for it. For correct completion of each task in the Unified State Examination in basic level mathematics, 1 point is given. For correct completion of tasks in the Unified State Examination in mathematics at a specialized level, 1 to 4 points are given depending on the complexity of the task.

After this, the primary score is converted into a test score, which is indicated in the Unified State Examination certificate. This score is used for admission to higher education institutions. Transfer of Unified State Examination points carried out using a special point scale. The Unified State Exam score in basic level mathematics is not needed for admission, so it is not converted into a test score and is not indicated on the Unified State Exam certificate.

Also, based on the Unified State Exam score, you can determine the approximate grade on a five-point scale that a student would receive for completing tasks in the exam.

Below is scale for converting Unified State Exam scores in mathematics for basic and specialized levels: primary scores, test scores and approximate assessment.

Below is a scale for converting primary scores of the profile Unified State Examination in mathematics in 2019:

  • The initial score obtained is transferred to the test score. Each task in the test part is worth 1 point. Writing tasks - from 2 to 4 points
  • To pass the threshold on the profile Unified State Exam, you need to solve at least 6 problems, that is, score 6 primary or 27 test points.

Moreover, you can notice that the first part is very “expensive” in terms of points; for one task in the first part you can get 1 raw point, which is recoded into 5 or 6 test points!

  • If you solve all the problems in the first part correctly, you can type 62 points.
  • If you solve the entire first part, numbers 13, 15 and 17 (most often these are the numbers that are solved by those who have a solid “5” in school), then you can dial 80 points.

Download the “Unified State Exam in Mathematics” CHECKLIST for free! Preparation algorithm, literature, useful links, Unified State Exam score scale.

  • Further points can be taken in geometry (No. 14, 16), parameters (No. 18) or number theory (No. 19). If you solved, for example, No. 14, took a couple of points on No. 19, solving a) and b) - this is already 88 points.
  • So to dial above 80 points you need to be able to solve problems on at least one of these topics or several:

- options,

- planimetry,

- stereometry,

For example, you solved 12 problems, but made a mistake in one, as a result you get 11 primary and 56 test points, but could get 62 points (!), if they hadn’t made a mistake in some number, it could have even been the simplest number 1. If you make a mistake again, you will get 50 points for the first part. A point for the simplest task No. 1 “weighs” the same as one point for complex planimetry No. 16; the computer doesn’t care where you scored it. The main strategy is to be careful in the first part.

Examination plan for the Unified State Examination in mathematics

The duration of the work is 3 hours 55 minutes. If you plan to complete tasks of a high level of complexity numbered 18-19, then the first part No. 1-12 should take you no more than 30 minutes.

Good luck to everyone on the exam!

The 2018-2019 academic year will be the graduation year for many Russian schoolchildren, who are already concerned about successfully passing the Unified State Exam and successfully entering a good university.

We will tell you how exam papers are checked in different subjects, how the scale for converting Unified State Exam points into grades works, and what innovations you can expect in 2019.

Principles for assessing work on the Unified State Exam 2019

Over the past few years, the Unified State Examination system in a number of subjects has undergone significant changes and has been brought to an optimal (according to the organizers) format, which makes it possible to fully assess the volume of knowledge of a graduate in a particular subject.

In 2018-2019, no fundamental changes are expected and it is safe to say that the same principles as in 2017-2018 will be applied to evaluate the work of graduates:

  1. automated verification of forms;
  2. involving experts in checking tasks with detailed answers.

How does a computer evaluate?

The first part of the examination paper involves a short answer to the questions posed, which the Unified State Examination participant must enter on a special answer form.

Important! Before starting work, be sure to read the rules for filling out the form, as incorrectly completed work will not pass the automated check.

It is quite difficult to challenge the result of a computer check. If the work was not counted due to the fault of a participant who filled out the form incorrectly, the result is considered unsatisfactory.

How do experts rate it?

In many subjects, in addition to the test part, there are tasks that require a full, detailed answer. Since it is impossible to automate the process of checking such answers, experts are involved in the verification - experienced teachers with extensive work experience.

When checking the Unified State Exam, the teacher does not know (and even with a strong desire cannot find out) whose work is in front of him and in which city (region) it was written. Testing is carried out on the basis of uniform assessment criteria developed specifically for each subject. Each work is checked by two experts. If the experts’ opinions coincide, the assessment is put on the form, but if independent appraisers disagree, then a third expert is involved in the verification, whose opinion will be decisive.

That is why it is important to write legibly and accurately so that there is no ambiguous interpretation of words and phrases.

Primary and test scores

Based on the test results, the Unified State Exam participant is awarded a certain number of primary points, which are then converted into text points (points for the entire test). Different subjects have different maximum primary points, depending on the number of tasks. But after giving the result according to the appropriate table, the Unified State Examination participant receives a final test score, which is the official result of his final tests (maximum 100 points).

So, in order to pass the exam, it is enough to achieve the established minimum threshold of the primary score:

Minimum scores

Based on these numbers, you can accurately understand that the exam has been passed. But what grade? The 2018 online scale will help you with this, designed specifically for converting primary Unified State Exam scores into test scores, which will also be relevant for the 2019 results. A convenient calculator can be found on the website 4ege.ru.

Announcement of official results

Graduates are always concerned with the question of how quickly they can find out what result was obtained during the test and what the scale for converting the points scored on the Unified State Exam into traditional grades will be in 2019.

Teachers often take it upon themselves to reassure students by working through the tasks of the Unified State Exam tickets immediately after the exam and assessing the quality of the students’ work and the amount of initial points scored. Official results must be waited for 8-14 days, according to the established regulations for the Unified State Exam 2019. On average, organizers approve the following inspection schedules:

  • 3 days to check the work;
  • 5-6 days for processing information at the federal level;
  • 1 working day for approval of the results of the State Examination;
  • 3 days to post results online and transfer data to educational institutions.

In the event of unforeseen situations and technical problems, these deadlines may be revised.

You can find out your owl score:

  • directly at your school;
  • on the portal check.ege.edu.ru;
  • on the website gosuslugi.ru.

Converting points to grades

Since 2009, Unified State Examination results are not included in the graduate certificate. Therefore, today there is no official state system for converting the Unified State Examination result into a grade on a school 5-point scale. As part of the entrance campaign, the test score obtained in the exam is always summed up and taken into account. But many students are still interested in finding out how they passed the exam - 3 or 4, 4 or 5. For this, there is a special table that details the correspondence for each of the 100 points in each subject.

Russian language

Mathematics

Computer science

Social science

Foreign languages

Biology

Geography

Literature

Using such a table is quite inconvenient. It is much easier to find out how you passed the Russian language, mathematics or history by using the online calculator 4ege.ru, which also contains a scale for converting Unified State Exam scores, which is relevant for graduates of 2019.

Having received the Unified State Exam result, you should decide on a university as quickly as possible, comparing your capabilities with the real competition for the specialties you are interested in. Thus, the practice of past years shows that in some cases it is difficult to get into the most popular areas in the capital’s universities even with high scores, because not only holders of 100-point Unified State Exam results, but also winners of the largest Olympiads of the 2018-2019 academic year will compete for places.
