Average score in Russian c. Exam statistics

The Unified State Exam is an important stage in the life of graduates. This is a pass to the world of adulthood, the first serious step towards a profession. The Unified State Exam has two functions: it serves as a final test at school and allows you to assess the applicant's ability to enter a higher educational institution.

The results of the 2016 exam showed that the attitude of students towards preparation has become more serious. This is evidenced by the results, which this year are much better than last year. The number of high-scorers has slightly increased and the number of those who have not crossed the minimum threshold has significantly decreased. This was also noted by Dmitry Livanov, the Minister of Education and Science of Russia.

In total, about 750,000 people took part in the process, including 640,000 graduates of 2016. Compulsory exams this year, as in previous ones, were Russian and mathematics. But besides them, there are a number of other disciplines: the popularity of some has increased significantly this year.

Popular items

Science subjects have become much more popular this year than last. Chemistry, physics and biology were increasingly chosen by school graduates. Moreover, physics made me happy with the results: the number of students who did not reach the minimum required grade decreased.

Less positive news was brought by exams in chemistry and biology. In these areas, the number of students who did not overcome the barrier increased - by 4%.

Number of people who passed, statistics

The exam in 2016 showed an increase in the level of training in compulsory disciplines. The number of students who did not manage to pass the minimum barrier for obtaining a certificate decreased by half. The USE results in basic mathematics have become a striking indicator of this moment. Only 4.7% of pupils received an insufficient number of points. In 2015, this figure was 7.4%. The exam in this direction is assessed on a five-point system, the average score was 4.14. This is a very good indicator, since last year this score fell short of the four by five hundredths of points.

In physics, 6.11% of schoolchildren did not pass the minimum threshold for passing the exam. This is 0.4% less than last year. Positive tendencies are also observed in the delivery of a number of other subjects. 84.1% of pupils reached an acceptable grade in history, 87% in geography, and 87.6% in computer science. Very good performance in English: in 2016, 98.1% passed the exam successfully. The number of those taking a foreign language is not very large yet, but the possibility of making this test mandatory within the next few years is being considered.

Dynamics of USE participants who did not overcome the minimum border

This year, the number of students who passed the exams by 100 points has also increased. The number of excellent students increased by 401 people. In 2015, there were 4608 examinees on the list of the best, and this year there were 5009.

How did the graduates pass the USE-2016 in mathematics (profile level)?

The results of the exam in specialized mathematics are needed in order to enter technical universities, as well as specialties related to economics. Unlike the compulsory basic level, this version of the Unified State Exam is chosen by the graduates. This year, about 439,000 students have taken the profile-level mathematics exam.

Profile-level mathematics has shown significant improvement results. This year 15.3% of students did not pass the USE-2016 in profile mathematics. Last year's figure was just over twenty one percent. Given the complexity of the subject, this is a truly remarkable result.

Also, some teachers and many parents noted that the exam was indeed difficult, but the difficulty lay precisely in the volume of the tasks. A number of tasks required solutions on several sheets. The question still remains open, but at the same time one cannot ignore the significant improvements in the delivery of this subject.

How did the graduates pass the exam-2016 in the Russian language?

The Russian language is also a compulsory exam; it is required to obtain a certificate of general secondary education. In 2016, the test results improved significantly, although the figures were quite positive last year. In total, 0.7% of students did not pass the USE-2016 in the Russian language and did not cross the border to obtain a certificate. In 2015, there were one and a half percent of such graduates. For admission to universities, as in the previous year, a barrier of 36 points was set. This threshold could not be crossed by two and a half percent of students. This is also less than in 2015 - then four percent of potential applicants missed the chance to enter a higher educational institution.

Good indicators are also among those who passed the Russian language exam with a high score. This is considered any result that is in the range from 81 to 100. More than a quarter of the students (25.5%) were pleased with such indicators. This is by as much as 5.6% percent higher than the results of the previous USE.

How many students did not pass the USE-2016?

Last year's numbers don't look so intimidating. In total, 1.5% of students did not pass the USE in 2015 - this is how the preliminary and final data looked for the tests as a whole. But in 2016, that figure is much better. According to experts in statistics, the indicators of 2016 are about half as much. That is, we can say that the number of graduates who have not passed the tests and will not receive a certificate is approximately 0.7%.

What awaits graduates next year?

The 2017 Challenges may come with some changes. So, one of the changes may affect exams in chemistry, physics and biology - the test part will be removed from the tasks. Thus, tests will disappear in almost all subjects. The task was set to develop and approbate the oral section of the exam in the Russian language, and also the creative part of the exam in literature will be worked out. Weak schools will be taken under control. Comprehensive preparation work will help students get more chances for a decent passing of graduation tests. It is also planned to develop a unified system for assessing the quality of education, which will be as objective and convenient as possible. Some of these changes will come into force in 2017, others may come into force later.

No other particularly serious changes are planned in this area, but experts note that much attention will continue to be paid to the technical preparation of the process. Qualified control, comfortable conditions, honest scoring systems - all this will be a priority in 2017 as well.

Prospective graduates should not be afraid of the upcoming exams next year. You need to believe in yourself, show a little perseverance and responsibility in preparation - and the dream of high scores on the exam will become quite real. Practice shows that the percentage of successful submissions is very high and increases every year. Moreover, now, without any problems, you can find many opportunities for additional preparation for the exam. This allows you to successfully prepare for exams and "pull up" their knowledge even lagging students who find it difficult to study a particular subject. So, now online courses for preparing for the exam are becoming more and more popular. They allow prospective graduates to improve their skills as conveniently as possible, without taking extra time from their main studies and other activities.

Those who want to pass mathematics and physics well should familiarize themselves. Also, in the near future, it is planned to launch a program to prepare for the Unified State Exam in the Russian language. Our service offers online distance learning. Each student who makes the effort and correctly allocates his time will be able to get decent points. Getting a certificate and entering a higher education institution is not as difficult as it might initially seem. Every year, a significant number of students receive not only good, but the best points. If this opportunity is available to one graduate, then the other will be able to cope with the tasks, if not one hundred percent, then very close to such a result.

  1. The results of the USE: Graduates of 2016 coped better with the exams than their predecessors, the Official Information Portal of the Unified State Exam (USE 2016), http://ege.edu.ru/;

In the main period of the USE in English, 64,422 people took part, which is quite comparable with the number of participants in previous years (in 2016 - 64,050 people, in 2015 - 61,946 people). The largest number of participants was recorded in Moscow (15,545), the Moscow region (5335), St. Petersburg (3987) and the Krasnodar Territory (1721).

Source of information: "Methodological recommendations for teachers, prepared on the basis of the analysis of typical mistakes of the 2017 USE participants in foreign languages" (FIPI official website)

In general, there is a general stabilization of the USE results in English: the average test score, the shares of participants in each of the ranges of results remained in 2017 almost at the level of 2016 (in 2016, the average test score was 69.78; in 2017 - - 70.1) (see Table 1).

German

The number of exam participants is 1769 people (in 2016 - 1980 people). The results of the 2017 exam are comparable to those of 2016.The average test score slightly decreased in 2017 compared to 2016 and amounted to 63.74 (in 2016 - 66.76). The share of those who did not score the minimum score did not change in 2017 and amounted to 3.36% (in 2016 - 3.29%). It should also be noted a slight decrease in the number of high-scorers - 24.56% (in 2016 - 32.77%). There are no 100 points in the exam in 2017 (in 2016 - 1). The noted changes can be interpreted only taking into account the scarcity and specific features of the sample of those taking the exam in the German language.

French

The number of exam participants is 1123 people (in 2016 - 1273 people). The results of the 2017 exam are comparable to 2016.The average test score in 2017 slightly increased compared to 2016 and amounted to 75.89 (in 2016 - 73.62). The share of those who did not score the minimum score decreased insignificantly in 2017 and amounted to 0.43% (in 2016 - 1.25%). The share of high-scorers has noticeably increased: in 2017 - 50.81%; in 2016 - 42.31%. There are no 100 points in the exam in 2017 (in 2016 - 6). The noted changes are in the zone of statistical error, taking into account the scarcity and specific features of the sample of those taking the exam in the French language.

Spanish language

The number of exam participants is 231 people (in 2016 - 204 people). The results of the 2017 exam are comparable to 2016.The average test score decreased in 2017 compared to 2016 and amounted to 68.33 (in 2016 - 74.59). The share of those who did not score the minimum score in 2017 increased and amounted to 6.75% (in 2016 - 2.8%). The share of high-scorers decreased: in 2017 - 38.04%; in 2016 - 49.65%. There are no 100 points in the exam in 2017 (in 2016 - 2). The noted changes are in the zone of statistical error, taking into account the small size of the sample of those taking the exam in the Spanish language.

Minimum USE score in foreign languages 2017 in comparison with the minimum score in 2016 did not change (22 points), while the share of graduates who did not score the minimum score in English remained practically unchanged in 2017 compared to 2016 (in 2017 - 1, 5%; in 2016 - 1.98%). The correction of this indicator by 0.5% can be associated both with a decrease in the share of graduates of previous years among the exam participants, and with the peculiarities of the sample of participants in the exam in 2017.

The share and number of 100-point graders in 2017 slightly increased compared to 2016 - 0.9% (in 2016 - 0.06%, or 59 exam participants against 39 in 2016). The increase in the proportion of 100-point students can be explained by the desire of graduates to enter budget-funded places in the country's leading universities, where the USE passing score is kept at about 297 points, and, consequently, by increased attention to learning English. The share of high-scorers in 2017 remained practically unchanged compared to 2016 (2016 - 35.94%; 2017 - 36.01%)

Finishing school is the beginning of a new stage in everyone. Many people want to continue their studies in higher educational institutions and acquire a certain profession. According to the requirements, school graduates must pass exams in the relevant subjects. USE statistics allow you to evaluate test results by year and identify the weakest in the country.

Basic information

The Unified State Exam is a unified state examination that is held in secondary educational institutions (schools, lyceums, gymnasiums). Rosobrnadzor is responsible for their implementation. The language used is Russian. The first exams were held in 2001 in the Samara and Rostov regions. In 2008, the USE statistics totaled more than 1 million students who passed exams in the country. A year later, the Unified State Exam became mandatory for admission to the.

The results are presented on a 100-point system. It is necessary to overcome the minimum level, which is approved every year in all subjects. USE (minimum) by years:

Does the law provide for age restrictions? No. According to statistics, the age of those taking the exam is different. For example, in 2016, a 78-year-old applicant wanted to enter the journalism department.

The psychological preparation of students is an important factor. There are cases when students committed because of the Unified State Exam. In 2016, in the Volgograd region, a 16-year-old schoolgirl committed suicide after passing mathematics. In her suicide note, she asked to cancel the exam and no longer torture.

Mandatory subjects

To get a certificate, students must pass Russian language and mathematics. Students choose the rest of the subjects voluntarily. USE statistics by years (Russian language):

Since 2015, mathematics has been divided into specialized and basic levels. The first one is needed for admission to universities. What are the statistics for passing the exam in mathematics? More than 6% of graduates cannot achieve a minimum score in this subject. Whereas the minimum level of the Russian language is incomprehensible for 3.7% of schoolchildren.

Application rules

You can find out about the places of registration on the official website of local authorities. You must submit an application before February 1. The exam consists of 3 stages:

  • early;
  • basic;
  • additional.

Early exams are usually taken by graduates of previous years who want to improve their results. Pupils of the current year can pass exams ahead of schedule with the consent of the school's pedagogical council.

The statistics of the USE in 2017 has 86 thousand graduates from previous years. Individuals who have not achieved the minimum passing score in the compulsory subjects may retake the exams.

How to view the results

When the results are ready, they can be viewed online at ege.edu.ru. It is enough to enter the following data:

  1. Registration code.
  2. Passport data (number).
  3. Region.

Knowledge level

To understand whether the level of knowledge of the new generation has improved, it is necessary to compare the results of graduate exams. Statistics of USE results by years (2016–2017):

The head of Rosobrnadzor said that due to systematic work with weak schools, there is a decrease in the number of participants who have not overcome the minimum threshold in all subjects.

In 2017, the statistics of those taking the exam counted 703 thousand people, of which 617 thousand are students of the current year. 391 thousand students passed specialized mathematics.

The 2017 USE statistics for Russia also show an improvement in results. The average score in profile mathematics increased by 1 point and amounted to 47.1. The number of students who did not master the subject decreased by 1%.

Statistics on average USE scores show that of the compulsory subjects, mathematics is the hardest for students. For the past five years, the average score has been below 49 points. The maximum result was in 2013 - 48.7. In the Russian language, the best results were recorded in 2016. The average score was 68 points.

However, the average scores for the rest of the subjects turned out to be classified. Little data is published by official sources. The statistics of passing the exam for schools and lyceums in Moscow (2015–2016) marks the ten best educational institutions:

The statistics of the Unified State Exam for schools gives the first place to the Lyceum of the HSE Research Institute. The second place is taken by the lyceum №1535. Center # 57 closes the top three in terms of the number of graduates.

Indicators by region

The USE statistics by region show different results. The economic condition affects the level of knowledge of students. Not many people can afford to study with a tutor. In some regions, schools are less well funded. Therefore, qualified teachers leave from there.

This trend is observed not only in Russia. For example, according to the results of ZNO in Ukraine, only 28.4% of city school graduates have a high level of knowledge. Whereas in rural areas the figure is 8%. The statistics of the USE results show that economic and educational characteristics determine the final scores by 64% in Russian and by 53% in mathematics.

The lowest marks are received by pupils from schools in the Far East. Profiled mathematics is good in the Perm Territory and Udmurtia. But the highest scores in the Russian language are received by graduates of the Orenburg region. Good marks are also received in St. Petersburg and Perm. Whereas in Dagestan the number of students who scored 100 points increased.

News on the USE portal of September 15: "Pupils of graduating classes this year will write all-Russian tests in five subjects that are not mandatory for the USE"

Here are the slides that show the average USE score in 2016 (North Caucasian Federal District)

According to information from the RIA Novosti website: "Rosobrnadzor: the average USE score in mathematics and the Russian language has grown"

The average USE score in mathematics of the profile level and the Russian language increased in 2016 compared to last year, Anzor Muzaev, deputy head of Rosobrnadzor, told reporters.

"The average score in mathematics at the profile level this year was 46.3 points (in 2015 - 45.6), in the Russian language - 68 (last year - 65.9)," he said.

Earlier it was reported that the share of graduates who did not overcome the minimum certification threshold in compulsory subjects, almost halved in 2016.

“In general, the average scores in all subjects are comparable to the results of the previous year. This indicates the stability of the exam, its level of difficulty. At the same time, we see a slight increase in the number of high-scorers and a significant reduction in the number of those who have not overcome the minimum threshold, ”said Sergei Kravtsov.

He noted the tendency of improving results in compulsory subjects - Russian language and mathematics. The share of graduates who have not passed the minimum threshold for obtaining a certificate has almost halved compared to last year.

On the Unified State Exam in Russian, the proportion of those who wrote their work with a high score (from 81 to 100) increased by 6% and amounted to 25.5%. Only about 0.7% of participants could not overcome the minimum threshold for obtaining a certificate (24 points), last year there were 1.5% of them, the minimum threshold for admission to a university (36 points) was 2.5% versus 4% in the past year.

The USE results in basic mathematics have improved significantly this year. The number of participants who received an unsatisfactory result decreased - from 7.4% in 2015 to 4.7% in 2016. The average score of the participants was 4.14 versus 3.95 in 2015. This exam is rated on a five-point scale.

At the USE in mathematics of the profile level, the number of participants who did not overcome the established minimum score fell from 21% in 2015 to 15% in 2016, while the number of high-grade students increased. More graduates than a year ago have passed the minimum thresholds for the exam in physics, history, computer science, English, literature and geography.

In 2016, the number of graduates who scored 100 points on the exam increased - there are 5,009 (in 2015 there were 4,608).
