Criticism

The Department of Cultural Heritage (Earlier, the Committee on Cultural Heritage) is constantly criticized related to the loss and illegal deregistration of monuments (with subsequent destruction or "restoration" consisting of the destruction of the monument and the subsequent "restoration" of modern technologies, as a rule, in concrete) Under the pressure of commercial structures. The Department denies all charges. So, in October 2010, a cultural layer was damaged during the construction of a hotel in a small Kozihinsky lane in the center of Moscow. The Department denies the destruction of the layer.

Immediately after the position of the post of office of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin dismissed the head of Moskomnasydia Valery Shevchuk, and the Committee was converted to the Department. It was regarded as a populist measure to eliminate the unpopular official associated with the regime of Luzhkov.

In the central part of the Eastern European Plain, there is a wonderful city of Moscow - the capital of our immense homeland between Okoy and Volga. This metropolis focuses the mass of interesting places and cultural heritage sites. Moscow is visited annually with tens of thousands of tourists, many of which are only for them and come. What is this place?

History of Moscow

An interesting fact is that still historians have no accurate date for the formation of the future capital. At one time, scientists were put forward to the assumption that the construction of Moscow belongs to the IX century and founded the city of Prince Oleg, but there is no documentary confirmation of this version.

Therefore, it is conventionally believed that the city was founded in the XII century Yuri Dolgorukhi (son of Vladimir Monomakh).

The Moscow erected in 1147 (the city was first mentioned in the Old Russian Chronicles) began its rapid development. The reason was the favorable geographical location of the United States, in which the Finno-Ugric tribes first lived first, and after some time, representatives of the East Slavic Tribal Union (Vyatichi).

During the reign of Ivan the Terrible settlement received the status of the city and became the capital of the Russian state.

In 1682, the King of All Russia, and later the Emperor of Russia, the Peter I becomes the capital of the empire built by Petersburg.

Thus, from 1712 and for 206 years, Moscow was an ordinary city. And from 1918 and at the present time - the capital.

origin of name

Before you list the objects of the cultural heritage of Moscow, it is worth a couple of words to say about the origin of the name of the city. One of the assumptions it says that the word happened from the language of the Finno-Ugric tribe: "Mask" (bear), "Ava" (mother). This view is based on the fact that many bears lived in ancient times in the territory.

The most reliable theory comes down to the fact that the word "Moscow" occurred from the ancient language of the peoples of Komi: "Moska" (cow), "VA" (river). This option is confirmed by the fact that the natural conditions of this area contributed to the development of cattle breeding and, probably, a herd of cows always grazed on the banks of the river.

Megapolis in our time

Now Moscow is a world-famous megapolis with a population of more than 12 million people and the area of \u200b\u200b2560 square meters. km.

Locals are proud of historical monuments: 566 monuments and 415 buildings associated with the history of Russia.

In addition, more than 60 museums are functioning in the city, 105 theaters of different directions and many other unique objects.

The oldest part of the city occupies 27 hectares and amazes the beauty of towers, cathedrals and palaces, which attract tourists from many countries of the world.

Monuments of History and Culture

The leadership of the Russian Federation pays great attention to the objects of the cultural heritage of Moscow.

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev June 30, 2012 was approved by their list. There included objects with meaningful historical value.

The list was formed with the participation of artists, historians, representatives of the restoration services and the public. It consists of individual buildings, facilities, palace-park ensembles, monasteries, temples, and listed in all guidebooks for guests of the capital.

Among the tourists are popular with visits to the ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin, the Cathedral of Vasily Blessed, Novodevichy Monastery, Arbat, the Ostankino Tower, the estate of Tsaritsyno, Kuskovo.

Kremlin

This is not just the most famous landmark of the Russian capital, and the object of the cultural heritage of Moscow and the most ancient building, preserved before our time.

In the XII century, on the banks of the River Neglinnaya, at the direction of Yuri Dolgorukova, the construction of a defensive structure began, which subsequently became one of the emblems of the capital.

Around the Kremlin, the future city began to grow up. The first wooden buildings, according to historical documents, became the Church of Nikola, the Temple of Daniel Stalnnik (Christian Ascetic, Saint in the Lica Rev.).

All these facilities are not preserved due to repeated fires.

In 1326, Moscow Prince Ivan Kalita began to build a stone fortification. The first temple on his territory was the Assumption Cathedral.

The Kremlin was repeatedly rebuilt. Its territory expanded because of the construction of new structures. By the end of the XVI century, the complex acquires almost a modern appearance.

By the way, the Kremlin, like the Red Square, is a list of UNESCO cultural heritage sites. In Moscow, there are so significant places three - another church of Ascension in Kolomensky and the ensemble of a Novodevichy Monastery.

St. Basil's Cathedral

The main thing is decorated with a structure that attracts the attention of all tourists of the world - the Cathedral of Basil Blessed. The beginning of the construction refers to 1555 by order of Ivan the Terrible.

At that time in Moscow there were many people found by the Church to face the saints.

Among the wandering hermites, there was a special reverence of Wasil Vasily, to whom the royal tsar believed and Ivan Grozny himself.

He died in 1552. After six years above his grave, the church was erected. It is believed that this building gave the name of the Temple, built in honor of the victory over Kazan Khanate.

The religious complex, preserved to this day unchanged, is a temple structure of eight churches, symbolizing eight days of battle for Kazan.

Novodevichi Monastery

Another building included in the register of Moscow cultural heritage objects. This ensemble complex is located near Luzhnikov (Sports Metro Station).

There is a legend that says that during the Mongol-Tatar enslavement of Russia, in this place was selected by the beautiful Russian girls for the Golden Horde. This belief explains the name of the current female Orthodox monastery.

The construction of the temple complex refers to the middle of the XVI century (1524) on the instructions of the Sovereign of All Russia, Vasily III (Father Ivan Grozny). It was raised by the return of Smolensk to the Moscow Principality.

The temple is inextricably linked with the history of Russia: at one time, the legendary personality was detained here - Boyar Morozov, besides this, at the direction of Peter I, in the monastic walls spent 15 years (under the name of Susanna) Tsarevna Sophia, who did not want to voluntarily give the power to his brother.

Now tourists have the opportunity to visit the church service, inspect the temple interior and spend time in the silence of the monastic park.

A visit to the tourists of the Novodevichy Necropolis, located on the territory of the temple, is allowed only as part of the excursion, where you can explore the burial of the famous people. As mentioned, this is the third object of the cultural heritage of UNESCO in Moscow.

Old Arbat

This famous place for walks is also included in the register of the cultural heritage of Moscow.

In the city center there is the most famous pedestrian street for about 1.5 km away - Old Arbat.

Historical documents suggest that in the XVI-XVII centuries, a criangle settlement was located on the site of the modern street (handicraft) for the manufacture of carts and carts - Arba.

A more convincing version is believed that the word happened from a brief "Gorbat", which characterizes the terrain: curve part of the road.

In the XVIII century, Arbat, mostly artisans and merchants were settled.

In the middle of the XIX century, the nobility began to settle here, and the street gradually began to be a quiet and peaceful part of the city, where stone and wooden mansions were built, surrounded by gardens.

At different times, Sergey Rakhmaninov, Alexander Scriabin, Lion Saltykov-Shchedrin and many other famous people of Russia lived here.

Now old Arbat is a pedestrian zone. Many souvenir shops among museums of various directions, street artists, musicians, singers create indelible impressions from tourists.

Ostankino tower

It is considered a modern unique building. Ostankinskaya
Radiotelevian tower, despite its relatively young history, is included by the Office of the State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects in the Register.

In 1963 (start of construction) The construction was considered the highest in the world.
Now this tower is listed by one of the high structures in the central part of Europe.

The televisor, built for four years, began broadcasting telecast on November 7, 1967.

Tourists are given the opportunity to inspect the Ostankino design as part of an excursion, where the guide will tell that the height of the structure is 540 meters, and full weight together with the foundation of 51400 tons.

Guests of the city can climb the speed elevator to the viewing platform located at an altitude of 340 meters, as well as visit the Seventh Sky Restaurant. A feature of this pectic three-story institution is the rotation around its axis at a speed of one turn in 45 minutes.

Mansion "Tsaritsyno"

Management of state protection of cultural heritage facilities contributed to the list of historically significant places 21 mansion.

The most visited is the palace and park complex Tsaritsyno (Metro Station "Tsaritsyno").

The palace was built in the XVIII century and was intended as a country residence of Catherine II. After the full restoration of the object of cultural heritage in Moscow (completed in 2007), this building is used under the History of Tsaritsyno Museum.

On the territory of the palace there are Tsaritsynsky pond and a landscape park, a walk in which the pleasure of tourists of any age will enjoy.

Mansion "Kuskovo"

One of the favorite places of recreation of Muscovites and guests of the capital is the estate of Kuskovo. The address of the object of the cultural heritage of Moscow - the street of youth (Novogireevo Metro Station).

Within 400 years, the palace construction belonged to Sheremetev (representatives of the ancient boyars).

After the end of the restoration work, two ceramics and the Museum of Manor Kuskov are open in the building. Tourists will be interested to make a walk in the French park, which is considered the most picturesque and old fleet of the capital of the Russian Federation.

You can still talk about historically significant places of this wonderful city. The Department of Cultural Heritage Protection of Moscow has been compiled an impressive list. But above were those that really need to visit at least once in the life of every person interested in the history of our country.

Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow - The sectoral authority of the executive authority of the city of Moscow, authorized in the field of state protection, the preservation, use and popularization of cultural heritage sites (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian Federation, provides the development and implementation of the city's policy in the field of immovable cultural heritage.
