  • cartography;
  • geography;
  • tourism;
  • oceanology;

(Detailed response)

Compared to 2018, the structure has changed slightly. This exam will evaluate preparation on topics that were present in the school curriculum. The following sections deserve special attention:

  1. Geography of Russia.
  2. World population.
  3. Sources of geographic information.
  4. World economy.
  5. Regions and countries of the world.
  6. Nature management, as well as geoecology.

All questions that are present in the exam are divided into 2 parts:

Part 1. Difficulties with the first part should not arise. This section contains tasks where the answer will need to be written in different ways. There are also tasks with the choice of several answers and the establishment of the correct sequence.

Part 2. This section contains more complex tasks that require a detailed answer. The most popular section includes the geography of Russia. Almost a third of all questions are devoted to this particular section.

The last 6 tasks are evaluated as much as possible and will help you earn almost a quarter of the possible exam grade. During the exam, they are allowed to use a political map of the world. These materials will help to cope with the solution of most tasks.

In order to get the maximum score, you should set a goal for yourself and strive to achieve it. The main thing is not to give up and believe in yourself. You also need to responsibly approach the study of this subject.

How to get the maximum score?

The maximum score is 100 points and it is almost impossible to get it. All graduates are covered with excitement, which negatively affects the performance of tasks. Some of the answers are similar and may be confusing and misleading. Chances increase significantly only with careful preparation.

When completing tasks, you need to go beyond your thinking and try to look for different solutions. First of all, you need to focus on the current situation in the country and the world.

What to look for in the exam?

Tasks from numbers 28 to 31 deserve special attention at the exam in geography:

  1. In task number 28, you will need to correctly build a terrain profile. This is a difficult and time-consuming task, so it is necessary to study the symbols and learn how to read them.
  2. In task number 29, you need to learn how to compare and know the patterns of nature. Therefore, it is necessary to work out and study not only the map of Russia, but also the world.
  3. In task number 31, you will need to pay attention to the calculations. All obtained calculations must be properly argued.

Preparation process

One should not think that the subject is simple enough. To get the maximum score, you should responsibly approach the study of relevant topics. Experts also recommend passing the USE tests.

They are different from those that are present on the exam, but will help you learn the structure and learn how to properly allocate your time. For training, use tests that have been approved by the FIPI. It is this structure that is developing all the official options that are present at the exam.

When taking this exam, you should adhere to the following tips:

  1. Try to stay calm and be careful. Before you give an answer, you should read the condition several times and make sure that the answer is really correct.
  2. The use of cheat sheets and other means of communication during the exam must be abandoned. For this, they can be removed from the premises.
  3. In the first part, the answers are checked automatically. Therefore, it is necessary to fill out the sheet in accordance with the approved rules.

The answers to tasks 1–27 are a number, a number, a sequence of numbers or a word (phrase). Write your answer in the appropriate field. Write each character without spaces.

The USE in geography is a final test required for admission to a number of higher educational institutions, but is not included in the list of mandatory exams. This exam is not popular - 1-5 people pass it in schools, it is required for admission to such specialties: geology, cartography, ecology, meteorology, geography. The passing score depends on the individual requirements of the higher education institution - the university sets the minimum required when submitting documents. There have been no fundamental changes in the structure and features of the exam in recent years. In 2018, it was enough to successfully complete 12 tasks to cross the threshold.

  • The work consists of 17 questions of different types and levels of difficulty;
  • In the process of completing assignments, you can use the card that is issued along with the examination paper directly in the classroom;
  • The primary score varies from year to year;
  • Tasks are divided into three levels of difficulty: basic, advanced, high difficulty;
  • It is allowed to use a protractor, a ruler and a non-programmable calculator;
  • The student receives 180 minutes to solve all tasks - how to allocate time for different tasks depends on the subject himself.
All examination questions and tasks are divided into two thematic blocks - physical and socio-economic geography. Tasks are distributed equally.
  • Physical geography: theoretical knowledge of the features of natural zones, relief, lithosphere, meteorology, hydrology, geology is required. For preparation, terms, patterns, processes are carefully studied.
  • Topography: the ability to work with a topographic map is tested, the tasks are quite typical, so you need to carefully study the tasks of past years.
  • The program of the 6th grade is the features of the Earth as a planet.
  • Nature management: it is required to repeat the terminology and laws of ecology, the development of the natural environment.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of training, the options include tasks that test most of the elements of the content of school geography that cause the greatest difficulties for schoolchildren. All questions and assignments have been answered.
Each option contains 34 tasks. They test knowledge of all sections of the mandatory minimum content of school geographical education:
1. Sources of geographic information.
2. Nature of the Earth and man.
3. The population of the world.
4. World economy.
5. Nature management and geoecology.
6. Regional studies.
7. Geography of Russia.
The training options are designed to give an idea of what geographical knowledge from each topic of school geography is tested in the USE (facts, geographical nomenclature, spatial and spatio-temporal representations, causal relationships, etc.). The questions for each of the tasks will focus your attention on especially important aspects of preparation.
It is definitely recommended that you familiarize yourself with the demo version and the specification of KIM in geography 2017 on the official website of FIPI.
When completing tasks, pay attention to the instructions for completing each of them. This will allow you to get used to the correct formatting of the answers.
