The book itself is quite simple: it depicts 12 objects that make any sounds. (doll, pipe, bell, drum, hammer, clock, plane, locomotive, scissors, steamer, car, telephone). Large pictures, nothing more - just for the little ones.

My personal impression is not a very good selection of items. I would remove the bell (I consider it generally superfluous, since few people have it in the house and why is it needed at all?), the plane and the steamer (maybe, of course, the boys will be interested in such a quantity of transport, but somehow my daughter is not very). Instead, you can add some other items that are more common. And, of course, the phone is outdated ... We don’t have a home phone at all, and both my husband and I have cell phones with a touch screen. Therefore, the daughter does not understand why I say the phone to this picture. Those. when I say phone-ding-ding-alo-alo, then she brings me my phone, and does not associate my words with the picture. For all these comments, I remove one star.

Well, actually about our acquaintance with this book. I already wrote a review about the book "My Favorite Toys", where I described in detail how we tried to do both at 6 and at 9 months. But my daughter "grew up" to books with thin pages only at the age of 1 year 3 months. That's when I got the whole WSG and the book "What does it sound like?" including. All of our cardboard books were already "read" up and down, so my child happily set to a new book. She already says a lot of words and grasps everything on the fly. She likes these pictures, she recognizes almost all objects and repeats almost all sounds. She brings me this book all the time. All in all, a good book to expand your vocabulary.

There is also a cardboard insert in the book: a screen and two toys. I didn't cut them out. I have removed all the cardboard tabs (except for "Day and Night") so far - as it grows up, I will glue it myself.

I want to tell you about our experience of learning from the books of the School of the Seven Dwarfs.

I learned about this "school" from a woman from work. She said that her daughter worked with her son on this program for literally five minutes a day, and he grew up smart and smart beyond his age.

I was impressed by these stories and when I got pregnant, I bought a course of the first year on ozone with the confidence that I would work with a child :) but when I gave birth, I completely forgot about these classes, I started only at 3 weeks, which, in principle, is not so bad. She showed Sonya black and white pictures, then switched to color ones, the baby looked at them and .... that's all) how to understand whether the baby learned something or not is not clear)

Then for some time I forgot about the whole thing again, but I don’t remember when the study continued, probably about six months. In addition, many books in the series are designed for children from 9-10 months, so we have not lost anything, I guess.

From 6-7 months, I began to regularly show pictures to Sonya, told what was depicted, which animal speaks how, how the instruments sound, what the colors are called. For a long time there was no reaction at all, Sonya leafed through books without much interest, looked at me, listened, was quickly distracted, usually she had such a face like "mom, what do you need from me?")). I also tried to tear up books and eat paper ... But the other day I started to react. Laugh when I make animal sounds, laugh when looking at pictures of animals doing something. It looks like she's learning something, but she can't manifest it yet. When I ask to show something, just like on the crumbs we have Who lives where, I ask you to show - it doesn’t show, it’s probably too early, if only somehow the information is assimilated :)

As for the books themselves, not all are useful. I doubted whether to buy the next course, I think I will buy, but not the whole set, but selectively. For example, joke books, cat-cat are generally useless. We have a lot of cardboard books, from Anton's childhood, where the same jokes and nursery rhymes are collected, and there are a lot of them on the Internet, in the same Azbukvarik application and a smartphone from the same company. There are good books about actions, the colors are useful, the shapes are good, the kid even gave me figures yesterday so that I put them in the right place :) only she didn’t understand exactly where to put them. I didn’t like the merry round dance and about toys, at least for now.

I think that the program of the first year is not clear until the year that we will continue to deal with them and plus for the next year we will add.
