On advanced rails of military shipbuilding

Research Institute of Shipbuilding and Armament of the Navy Volunz Navy "Naval Academy" (1 Central Mode of the Russian Federation) - 80 years

Andrei Arkhipov

The date of education of the Institute is September 3, 1932. On this day, research institutes of the Navy, including the research institute of military shipbuilding (NIIIVK), Artillery Research Maritime Institute (ANIMA) began to function in accordance with the order of the head of the Marine Forces of the RKKA and Research Mino-Torpedo Institute (Namidi).

Solving the common tasks of the creation of ships, the basics of the fleet's combat power, the institutions of shipbuilding and weapons have developed independently for several decades. Then, as a result of a number of reorganizations, they were combined on the basis of the shipbuilding Institute in the Unified 1 Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

From the very beginning, in the process of its formation, the NIIVK became an authoritative scientific institution that took the leading position in many spheres of shipbuilding. This tradition is preserved to this day. Currently, highly qualified scientific personnel are working at the Institute, among which are 3 deserved science figures of Russia, 46 doctors and 138 candidates of sciences, 30 professors, 33 laureate of state and government awards. The Institute has two doctoral dissertation councils: on the problems of shipbuilding and weapons. Scientists of the Institute created scientific schools that make a significant contribution to the theory and practice of domestic shipbuilding, as well as the development of armament of the Navy. For a number of positions, they also occupy advanced positions in the world. The Institute has created and constantly improved the system of automated research design, as well as a corporate information system. Perennial comprehensive studies, a summary of the experience of domestic and foreign shipbuilding and weapons, the solution of scientific and technical problems arising in the process of creating and operating ships, weapons and techniques, allowed the collection of the institute to create a unique scientific potential, which has no analogues in our country or for Rubeze.

The main task of the NII of KV NSF today is the formation of the appearance of promising ships and the rationale for tactical and technical tasks (TTZ) to create ships and samples of weapons and technology. The objects of research institute are submarines, surface ships, auxiliary vessels of all classes, complexes of their weapons, ship energy, automatic control systems, exhausting ships, medical support of personnel, international marine market and military-technical cooperation.

After the approval of the tactical and technical assignments, the main task of the Institute becomes military scientific support for the design and construction of head ships, as well as the creation of new samples of weapons and techniques for them. The essence of this type of scientific activity is, first of all, in ensuring the unconditional performance of the TTZ requirements. And this is not just a control function, and the scientific, technical and design search together with the industry in solving tasks that constantly arise not only in the design process, but also in the construction of head ships. Such tasks, as a rule, do not have unambiguous answers and can be solved in different ways. And the position of the fleet (customer) and industry (artist) in the process of their decision coincide far from always. The task of the institute is to solve all the questions to solve the optimal manner for the fleet, providing the ship maximum fighting. This is usually not easy and requires high professionalism and erudition of military specialists.

With the completion of the construction of head ships, the Institute participates in the development of programs of state testing and their conduct. One of the main functions of the NII KMF is also the assistance of a fleet in the development of new ships. Naturally, all of the ships have fully applies to new samples of weapons and techniques.

Today, the tendency to reduce the armed forces is clearly observed. This led to a decrease in the number of scientific research organizations of the Navy and demanded the maximum concentration of their scientific potential.

In accordance with the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation in 2009, a military training center of the Navy (RADC) was established, the military-educational institutions and research institutes of the Navy on the database of the Navy Academy. 1 TsNII, along with 24 Central Gni and 40 Gni, structurally entered the VUNC Navy "Naval Academy of Academy. Admiral Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsova "as a structural division. On March 15, 2012, the Order of the Institute was amended by the order of the Institute - Research Institute of Shipbuilding and Armament of the Navy Volunz Navy "Naval Academy".

As a modern dynamically developing research organization, which has business connections, practically with all scientific, design and production organizations related to the fleet and shipbuilding, as well as with many higher educational institutions of the country, the institute is ready to establish new creative contacts with the goal of solving the main task - Strengthening and development of the Navy of Russia.

Since 1994, the Institute has opened a new direction for the scientific support for the export of naval technology. In this direction it includes:

Identifying the existing and potential demand of the customer VTC through a comprehensive study of the state of the global market and the prospects for its development, as well as the analysis of promising areas in the field of shipbuilding and VTC;

Determination of the optimal ratio of the appearance as a whole and the individual tactical and technical characteristics of ships, armaments and technical means created for the Navy and exports supplied (projects 12322, 11430, 20382, "Cheetah", etc.);

Determination of promising projects of ships for the construction of construction within one series for export and for domestic Navy, which makes them much cheaper (projects 11356 and 636);

Formation of prospective plans for export shipbuilding and coordination with national programs;

The implementation of interaction through meetings, preparation of reports and developing practical recommendations with enterprises of the OPK and state bodies - FSVTS and OJSC Rosoboronexport.

Works in this area received a high assessment of the country's leadership, for which the staff of the institute was awarded by the State Prizes of the Russian Federation, the Prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation and the National Prizes of the Golden Idea.

The high qualifications of the Institute's specialists gives confidence that in the XXI century the quality of the vehicles of the domestic fleet will determine its advanced position in the world.
