Follow the changes!

November 15-20, 2018 in Paris within the framework of the project "The first wave of Russian emigration in the history and culture of the countries and peoples of Europe", implemented by the Russian state university with the financial support of the "History of the Fatherland" Foundation, lectures on the history of Russian emigration were held by the President of the Russian State Humanitarian University, Corresponding Member. RAS E.I. Brewer and director of the educational and scientific center "Art-design" Russian State University for the Humanities, associate professor G.V. Volkova.



Lectures were devoted to the history and culture of the Russian emigration, its impact on history and cultural development European nations and states. They were organized jointly with the partner university of the RSUH - University Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis. Students of French universities, as well as students from Russian universities on probation in France, attended the lectures.



E.I. The brewer paid special attention to the topic "The first wave of Russian emigration in France", highlighting the main factors that contributed to the influx of emigrants to France during the post-revolutionary events and Civil war in Russia. He spoke in detail about the conditions in which our compatriots found themselves, about the peculiarities of their adaptation, ways of preserving national identity. The lecturer emphasized the enduring importance of the first wave of emigrants for close historical and cultural ties between The Russian Federation and the French Republic.


G.V. Volkova focused on various artistic ways of reflection, preservation and study cultural heritage emigrants, paying special attention to this type of artistic creation and at the same time a very rich and representative historical source like photographic materials.
