What is a grammar dictionary. Grammar dictionaries

GRAMMATIC DICTIONARIES, dictionaries describing the grammatical properties of the lexical units of the language. Dictionary entry in a grammatical dictionary can contain various grammatical information, for example, about the belonging of a word to a certain part of speech, about its constant grammatical characteristics (about transitivity-intransitivity, personality-impersonality, specific properties of the verb, animate noun, types of declension or conjugation, stress, alternations in basis, speciation, etc.), about syntactic features - a concordant class, a control model, etc.

An essay is attached to the grammatical dictionary, explaining the structure of the dictionary entry, the meaning of grammatical labels. Such an essay or a special supplement should also contain all the rules that allow, based on information from a dictionary entry, to correctly construct or analyze all grammatical units described in this grammatical dictionary.

The term "grammar dictionaries" came into use after the appearance in 1977 of the first and exemplary grammar dictionary in this genre by AA Zaliznyak "Grammar Dictionary of the Russian Language. Inflection "(1977; 4th edition, 2003; see also: http://newstar.rinet.ru/downl.php?lan = ru).

The function of grammatical dictionaries is also partly performed by orthoepic dictionaries (see the article Orthoepy) and so-called dictionaries of difficulties. Description of syntax properties service words(and, more broadly, the so-called marching, including semi-service, structural and discursive words), closely related to the description of their semantics, is the subject of a special type of grammatical dictionaries - dictionaries of marching vocabulary. In the extended sense of the term, word-formation dictionaries (see the article Word-formation) and morphemic dictionaries can also be called grammatical.

  • Grammar dictionary of the Russian language. Inflection. About 110,000 words, Andrey Zaliznyak. The "Grammar Dictionary of the Russian Language" reflects (with the help of a special system of conventions) modern inflection, that is, the declension of nouns, adjectives, pronouns, ...

The lexical and grammatical in a word are inextricably linked, in this regard, the grammatical characteristic of words is an integral component of dictionary entries in explanatory dictionaries, however, grammatical dictionaries proper, reflecting information about the morphological and syntactic properties of a word, arose relatively recently.

Central among publications of this type is the 1977 and reprinted "Grammar Dictionary of the Russian Language" by L.L. Zaliznyak. The dictionary reflects with the help of a special system of conventions the modern inflection, i.e. declension of nouns, adjectives, pronouns, numbers and conjugation of verbs. Words in the dictionary are located in reverse O inversion) order, i.e. in alphabetical order of the final, not the initial letters of the word. Each word has a grammatical mark and an index with it, referring to the section "Grammatical information", where examples of declension and conjugation are given, by which the reader can establish the inflection of the word of interest.

In the "Big grammar dictionary", published under the editorship

A.N. Tikhonov, the grammatical forms of mutable words are presented. The grammatical characteristics of unchangeable words and service parts of speech are also given. The basic and variant (admissible) forms are noted. Information is given on various changes occurring during the formation of forms: alternations, displacements of stress, etc.

In the “Explanatory and grammatical dictionary of Russian participles” by I. K. Sazonova, the semantic relations of verbs and their participial forms are presented on a large material, the semantic, syntactic and morphological features of the participles are shown, information about the use of certain verb and participial forms is given, the connection is consistently reflected semantics of the verb with the properties of its participial forms.

A special problem is the description of the official words of the Russian language and similar lexical units. V last years quite a few dictionaries have appeared that provide a lexicographic description of such words. Thus, "Explanatory Dictionary of Combinations Equivalent to a Word" by R.P. Rogozhnikova contains phrases that serve as official words (for example, prepositions: in business, as, during, except, during etc.; unions: namely, and also, since, just etc.; particles: but, hardly, hardly, if only, if only etc.), adverbs ( without hesitation, at that time, in general, by the way, to this day, as many etc.), pronouns ( that's what, one or the other, horrible, whatever you want, something like etc.), interjections ( come on, come on, there you go etc.), act as an introductory word ( if I'm not mistaken, if you like, as you can see, who knows, moreover, is it a joke etc.), union word ( wherever, after which, whatever etc.), a correlative word ( about, about, about, compared etc.), predicate (on account, uncomfortable, on the shoulder etc.), etc. They are perceived as a single whole and are equivalent to a word, performing the same function in speech, but they are not words, since they themselves consist of two or more words, significant and service ones. At the same time, they cannot be called phraseological combinations: they do not have the figurative meaning that is characteristic of most phraseological combinations. In speech, such combinations are reproduced as ready-made units.

Service words are also the object of description in dictionaries edited by V.V.Burtseva and A.F. Priyatkina.

The main goal " Dictionary of structural words of the Russian language "

V.V. Morkovkin and others - to present a well-interpreted and, therefore, suitable for multiple use, a set of structural lexical units of the Russian language: prepositions, conjunctions, particles, interjections, introductory words, pronouns, numerals, connective and semi-connected verbs, connectives and so-called ceter (words and so on and so on and so forth). Structural authors call words that form the relational, syntactic and modal structure of the text. Most structural words are characterized by a lack of significance or a weakened (degenerate) significance. The preface clearly lists the possible user requests that the dictionary can satisfy. Let's take one dictionary entry as an example:

ABOS, frequent, colloquial It is used to express such an assumption, which testifies, on the one hand, about the desirability for the speaker of the offensive of some. events, and on the other - about a clear awareness saying that if the previous event occurs, it will only be due to a special combination of circumstances, i.e. regardless of his will.

* C and n. maybe razg. than the devil is not joking colloquial > I'll go out into the air, maybe the head will pass. Take your bag with you, maybe it will come in handy. Let's try, maybe we'll succeed. O At random /? Yazg. - in the hope of accidental luck. Better to pre-book a room, rather than go at random. Perhaps yes, I suppose, " maybe, I suppose, somehow colloquial- about a careless attitude towards the entrusted, etc. ... Remember, perhaps, I suppose, they will somehow not be brought to good 11 noun string bag - f., colloquial.

The dictionary-reference book of lexical units of the actual service parts of speech, as well as adverbs and predicates is the “Explanatory Dictionary of Service Parts of Speech of the Russian Language” by T.F. Efremova. Dictionary units - single words, prepositional-case constructions in the function of the listed parts of speech and units consisting of more than one word, but semantically equivalent to it.

"Lexico-grammatical dictionary of the Russian language" N.P. Kolesnikov consists of two independent parts: "Dictionary of non-declining words", representing a special grammatical group of immutable nouns, most of which entered the Russian language from the languages of many peoples of the world, and "Dictionary of monosyllabic words (monosyllabs)", containing Russian and borrowed words different parts speeches that are monosyllabic in one form or another (for example: morgue, muzzle, walrus, fruit drink, morph, wrinkle, bridge, moss, moss)."Modern Dictionary of the Unwelcome Words of the Russian Language" by I.D. Uspenskaya contains unspeakable words, mainly of foreign language origin (for example, tribute- Georgian percussion musical instrument). In some cases, information is provided on the origin of words, on the scope of their use. In many cases, words are illustrated with examples from the press and fiction... Similar materials are presented in the dictionary of L.A. Brusenskaya.

Dictionary of Russian phonosemantic anomalies S.S. Shlyakhova "Tongue bounce" is the first attempt to present a systematic description of "anomalous" units of the type ah, good, knock, usually referred to as interjections. The phonosemantic (sound-visual) anomalies recorded in various social-functional strata of Russian speech are described (splash, bang, drip-drip, shu-shu, tary-bars, scat, chick-chick etc.). Dictionary entry includes the interpretation of meaning, grammatical labels, phonosemantic characteristics of the unit, stylistic labels, as well as etymological information.

Educational Materials for an Aspectological Dictionary by L.F. Belyakova are based on a continuous selection of verb tokens-examples from scientific research in aspectology (mainly Yu.S. Maslova, T.V. Bulygina, E.V. Paducheva), which present original aspectually significant classifications Russian verbs. The dictionary entry contains the definition of the taxonomic affiliation of the verb word (form), which is a presentation of a text fragment with a link to the author. For example: like / like- the designation of "direct, continuous effect" (Maslov).
