"Public library them. Herzen, a decent and cultural institution, where I spent with pleasure and benefit so much time grateful N. Nikitin.

In the collection of autographs of the regional scientific library named after A. I. Herzen, there are 1323 publications with domestic initiations of well-known writers, poets, scientists, colleagues, librarians, biblies, which at different times were readers, employees or guests of our library. For the most part, these are our countrymen, which life has scattered around the cities and weights of Russia. The beginning of a collection of autographs, as independently allocated from the fund of valuable and rare books, was laid during the Great Patriotic War, director of the Library of Claudia Mikhailovna Voykhanskaya (director since 1941) - an expert and connoisseur of the book. Thanks to its activities, the library was able to enrich its funds unique publications, including books with autographs.

During the Great Patriotic War, the library was replenished with books of authors who were in Kirov in evacuation and engaged in the library. The very first gift of the war was the book of the writer Nikolai Nikolayevich Nikitina (1895-1963) "It began in Kokand" (L., 1940), which is recorded as an epigraph. Other books followed behind her, other authors.

Among those evacuated in Kirov from the front-line cities were people different specialties: Scientists, Writers, Artists.

Book Wealth Library used in their work academician E. V. Tarl and V. P. Potemkin, Professor K. M. Bykov and V. M. Lazarev and many others. Evgeny Viktorovich Tarla (1875-1955) - historian, academician. During the Great Patriotic War, being in evacuation in Kirov, was engaged in the regional library. A. I. Herzen. As a sign of appreciation to the library team, he presented his book with the inscription: "Cardiac hello library them. Herzen from E. Tarle 01.11.1942 Kirov " (Tarla E. V. Here he, together with other scientists, continued to work on the multi-volume publication "History of Diplomacy". When preparing 2 and 3 volumes, the funds of our library were used. In memory of this, Vladimir Petrovich presented the library, one of this edition with the donating inscription: "The main library named after A. I. Herzen in Kirov is a truly cultural hearth Vl. Triumphova (repeatedly reworked and supplemented) and today students of medical universities are trained. Speaking about the military years, people and teams who were in evacuation, it is impossible not to remember our Latvian friends: the editorial office of the newspaper "Qiny" and one of its employees Anna Ottopne Saksa (Abzalon) (1905-1981). The People's Writer Latvia lived and worked as a newspaper "Qiny" in Kirov. Here she wrote her books, met with readers and wounded fighters who were in hospital treatment. In 1943, the Kirov book publishing house issued a collection of her stories "Life and Death of Leda", and later (after a year), another collection of "Return to Life", which is kept in the Foundations of the Library in the Collection of autographs, it left the next entry: "Brave soldiers for the Soviet homeland with greetings Anna Sakse 12.07.1944. - Upgrade Herzen Library Hospital. "Opening" first
There is a concept "autograph", is there - "Inscript". The autograph is, on the one hand, the author's genuine manuscript, on the other - the personnel signature. When "autograph" says today, it is the second meaning of the word and use it most often to any celebrities: writers, actors, musicians, athletes, etc. It is their own signatures are valued, there are even people who collect autographs, such peculiar "Hunters" for celebrity autographs. However, if the gift inscription is not just a signature, but a certain phrase-dedication, and it is not left on a piece of paper, but on the book or some other valuable subject (painting, gramplasty, etc.), then it is already called an inxcript.

In the case of our library, the most common option of the Inscript is the phrase: "The State Universal Scientific Library of the author" or "as a gift from the author", but there are many other interesting memorable inscriptions addressed to the library and future readers of books.

Inscript from the local history collection: 1) the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the reader of which over 40 years of honor I have, with respect and the wishes of new achievements. E.Preisman; 2) This book is for the place where I visited, I go and will be often a lot. Thanks to your team of the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. You are great, thank you! 12/19/2013. I. Shein; 3) the most welcoming library from the writer. I wish as much readers, eaten, but neat. S. Kuznechikhin. 04/17/10. Krasnoyarsk; 4) hostesses, owners and guests of the regional library - with best wishes - by A. Shcherbakov; 5) I will be glad if our many years of work about your favorite city will be in demand ... 06/06/2011 A. Syrryakov.

"Opening" second
Domestic inscriptions on the books are very rarely becoming the subject of attention of researchers as a special literary-household genre with their poetics, features and rules. An interesting exception is the article by Abraha Rateblast "To Sociology Inscript", published in his book "Write across: articles on biography, sociology and history of literature" (Moscow, 2014).
With all theoretical poorness of the topic, you can find many articles about writing autographs / inxcripts. For the most part, these are peculiar essays, bibliophile essays, introductory articles to the publications of the inscruts. Such work is very interesting to read, they are permeated with huge love and respect for the book and literature as a whole, but as L. L. L. L. L. L. L. L. "Work outlines of a possible study".

Inscript often become the starting point for understanding the cultural ties, the relationship between the donor and is being gifted, give additional information about the life of a writer. So, last year, we found a book of Alexander Shmakov in our Foundation "Petersburg exile" with a gift inscription: "Readers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Library from Countryman, now Uraltsa. Al. Shmakov. "Yenisei meetings 73". This script "told" us about how the book fell into the library and that its author is directly related to our edge. This made it possible to reveal another intersection of the Radishchev named with the Redie.

You can also find a lot of works that tell about the collections of books with inviprists, both private and library. By the way, our library did not stay aside, colleagues from the main booking department in 2014 became the authors of the article "Rowchen in Eternity"

Inscript from the local history collection: 1) friends library workers. Read, but do not envy, there is nothing. Sorry for the joke. Sincerely. July-21-1969. M. Glosus; 2) Readers of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Library from Countryman, now Uraltsa. Al. Shmakov. "Yenisei meetings 73"; 3) expensive friends: the booklers-readers of the regional library named after V. I. Lenin. With deep gratitude for attention. Your Ivan Siberians. November 1971; 4) Peter Stepanovich Trofimov in memory of the meeting on returning from the front. I. Eroshin. 09.09.1945

I get acquainted with the literature on the topic, I discovered interesting, very figurative statements about autographs, some of which cite further:

Lion of Ozerov (poet): "The case, it turns out to be serious - to adapt the book. Do not hurry, think about it from the soul. Or do not do at all. The inscription is a personal historical wrist on the book. Your note, laid in the bottle, which the waves of time will hands your descendants. In the inscription on the book will be judged by your creative behavior with the same rigor, as well as about the very work. Your delayed comment or your late regret will not be taken into account. You will not be, and the book will remain "(from Sat." Meetings with a book ", Moscow, 1979)

Anatoly Markov (Bibliophile): "... Human lines left by the authors many years ago, like the Light of distant stars ... I want to look closely to the cherished, warm words sometimes noticeably faded autographs - everything is of interest: who and to whom, where and when, and sometimes in connection with what circumstance the book<…> Books, on the pages of which in the long past years left donating lines writers, poets, composers, artists and artists, sometimes cause the feeling that they still keep the heat of their hands! " (from the book "Magic of the Old Book", Moscow, 2004)

Olga Golubev (librarian): "If a book is a kind of witness of the era, then autographs on them are a micropovem facing friends and acquaintances" (from the book "In the world of book treasures", Leningrad, 1988)

Inscript V.P.Astafyeva: 1) V. Astafiev. December 13, 1986 Krasnoyarsk; 2) Stole, did not stole what difference - you will be all the same as an honest dead! (the wisdom of the Siberian Crank) V.Aastafyev; 3) I want to believe while the word will be alive, the city of my childhood will be alive, maybe the joy of the release of this book will give hope to all Russian people, and we, Igarchanam in the first head. V. Astafiev. February 14, 1998, Krasnoyarsk.

"Opening" Third
It turns out that the rules are not. Despite the fact that the custom to leave on the books the original gift inscriptions appeared a long time ago, a certain etiquette was not developed. The script is placed on the free and image of the place, may contain a short or verbose text in prose or verses, drawings. But what part of the book will be the place of memorable stroke - to solve the author. Even the most famous writers very differently approached this issue. In the book "Autographs of poets silver century"(Moscow, 1995) faximically reproduced 397 autographs of various authors, including A. Akhmatova, A. Blok, K. Balmont, V. Bryusov, S. Yesenin, I. Northerner, V. Mayakovsky and others. So, their scripts They are located both on the title sheets of books and on the forboats, shimetituch, the turnover of shimetitules, the Avantitules, the turnover of the Avantitules, clean sheets before the title and even on the cover, the 1st page or arbitrarily on some other page.

It turns out that answering his own question, I have to conclude that the correctness of all possible options for setting the inscruts. I admit! All right! But it was at this moment that the librarian "wakes up" in me.

Often, being completely logical from the point of view of the author, the gift inscription may be completely "uncomfortable" for the librarian. Why do you ask? But after all, in the library, the books are not lying on the spot - they are read, used in exhibition activities. IN last case The books with autographs are paying more attention, often they act as peculiar accents of book expositions. And so, let's say, we have an interesting script that I really want to show, and he is located on Forsace. In this case, the book open at the place of the gift inscription will absolutely will not tell the visitor to the exhibition, because the author's signature is not always readable and recognizable. In order to understand whose strokes, we see what kind of book we need to look at the title page or cover. There will be no such problems if the autograph / invippist will initially be put on the title page, then it immediately becomes clear who, to whom, in honor of what, and, often, and when he presented a present. Another point - books are not eternal. Actively readable books Sooner or later come into such a state when it becomes necessary to repair / binding. In many cases, when binding, especially when as a result of the use, the main cover of the cover of the cover was broken off, the complete replacement of the moon is required. And what to do, if the author left the author to the author left? This is again the situation when the difficulties would not have arisen if the autograph was put on the title page.

Of course, this is a subjective opinion of one librarian, you can not agree with him, but I think my truth is stated above.
