Uzbek war. The battle for Uzbekistan is coming

Private traders in the new top 25 for 2017 produced 4.8 million tons of meat in total. This is 46% of the total volume produced in the country, and 60% of the share of agricultural enterprises. Player performance will continue to grow, driven by both organic growth and M&A deals.

Last year, the production of all types of meat in Russia reached almost 10.4 million tons (hereinafter - in slaughter weight, unless otherwise indicated), including the share of agricultural organizations accounted for 8 million tons, follows from Rosstat data. Compared to 2016, in general, volumes increased by 4.9%. The companies in the ranking together produced about 4.8 million tons of meat, which is 0.5 million tons more than a year earlier, and the average growth rate of the top 25 participants amounted to 13.5% - 2.7 times higher than the market. The share of the largest players continues to grow. In total, they produced 3 million tons of poultry meat, 1.7 million tons of pork and over 100 thousand tons of beef - this is 60% of the volume of all agricultural enterprises and 46% of the total production in the country. At the end of 2016, these indicators were 3% less.

Compared to the rating for 2016, the composition of the top five companies has not changed, although there have been some changes in it. Cherkizovo strengthened its position by increasing production to 654.8 thousand tons. Since last year, the holding has included turkey in the production structure - in 2017, 38 thousand tons in live weight were produced. By the end of 2018, the company expects to increase its volume to 55 thousand tons, and the broiler direction should also grow by about 10 thousand tons to 621 thousand tons, pig breeding will add 34 thousand tons to 246 thousand tons (all figures are live weight ). “We do not plan to significantly increase production of broilers. We are reaching the design capacity for the turkey. We are also expanding the production of pork in the Voronezh, Lipetsk and Penza regions ", - says the representative of the company.

Cherkizovo plans to focus on processing and switch to value-added products as much as possible, develop brands and products for restaurant chains. Nevertheless, the group does not refuse to increase its market share, albeit through M&A, and not organic growth. In July, the company signed an agreement with Prioskol to purchase the Altayskiy Broiler poultry farm from it. The value of the asset, according to various estimates, may be 1.5-6 billion rubles. In 2017, the enterprise produced almost 67 thousand tons of poultry meat in live weight.

Prioskolye itself, which took the second place in the ratings for 2015 and 2016, this time increased production, but dropped to the third line and will most likely continue to decline its positions. At the beginning of the year, the holding sold the Inzhavinskaya poultry farm in the Tambov region to the Resource group of agricultural enterprises; in 2017, this site produced 117.9 thousand tons of poultry in live weight. Thus, if a deal with Cherkizovo takes place, Prioskol will only have a complex in Belgorod region... Last year, the company produced 467 thousand tonnes of broiler in live weight here. If these volumes remain the same, with such an indicator the holding will probably drop to fourth place. True, sources in the industry do not rule out the scenario that Prioskolye may receive management or buy out the assets of White Bird. This scenario will allow the company to compete for second place again.

Now Miratorg has risen to the second position, having increased production volumes in all segments in the amount up to 521 thousand tons and since the fall of last year added the new kind meat - pink veal. In 2017, about 2.5 thousand tons were produced, the plan for 2018 is 7.8 thousand tons (both figures are live weight). As the demand for this meat is growing, the company is now considering the possibility of further expansion of production. The holding also implements projects to double pig breeding and beef production. By 2022, Miratorg's pork production capacity should increase to 840 thousand tons in live weight, and the cattle herd will expand to 1 million animals by 2024.

Resource moved up from fifth to fourth in the ranking. In 2017, the group produced 454 thousand tonnes of broilers in live weight, improving the result of 2016 by almost a third. Such dynamics is associated with the completion of construction and commissioning of the Tokarevskaya Poultry Farm complex in the Tambov Region, a company representative explains. At the same time, the design capacity of the holding's enterprises is estimated at 650-700 thousand tons of poultry in live weight. Including the potential of production in the Tambov region, taking into account the poultry farm purchased from Prioskol, is 280 thousand tons of livestock. “In addition to the strategic advantages in increasing production volumes, these assets will make it possible to more efficiently build logistics chains for organizing the supply of products in Russia and abroad,” says a representative of Resurs.

The growth rate of production at Belgrankorm turned out to be lower, as a result - the company dropped from fourth to fifth place. Nevertheless, the increase in broiler and pork production totaled about 22.5 thousand tons. The volumes increased mainly due to the intensification of industries and only slightly due to the reconstruction of one of the twelve poultry sites, a representative of the holding commented. “No new construction is planned for either poultry or pig breeding,” he clarifies. Nevertheless, this year Belgrankorm expects to increase the production of poultry by 46.5 thousand tons to 281.3 thousand tons (including offal), pork - by 2.4 thousand tons in live weight.

According to the head of the executive committee of the National Meat Association (NMA) Sergei Yushin, the top 5 rating will not change in the near future, although in the future Miratorg may move to the first position after the implementation of projects to double the production of pork and beef. Although the current leader - Cherkizovo - will maintain its position, including by adding production volumes of broiler, turkey and pork. Resource also intends to increase poultry production, but it is unlikely that he will be able to compete for first place only with a broiler, the expert comments.

In the next one or two years, Charoen Pokpand Foods may enter the top five, displacing Belgrankorm, suggests Maxim Nikitochkin, head of projects at the NEO Center agro-industrial complex. The other four companies will remain in the top 5 for quite a long time.

In the current five leaders of the meat market, some serious changes will take place only through mergers and acquisitions, says Konstantin Korneev, executive director of Rincon Management. “The circle of leaders has already formed, and adjustments are possible only after acquisitions,” he said. Companies from the middle and the end of the rating, of course, can still increase production volumes, but you need to understand why. They can also buy some small enterprises near their complexes, but here, too, it is necessary to calculate the feasibility, since additional investments will be required in biosecurity programs, feeding, processing, etc. “Ready-made effective companies are at the top of the rating, but for them smaller players have no money to buy, ”adds Korneev. True, one should not exclude the risks of forced sale of companies due to an epizootic situation. If, against the backdrop of low business profitability, an outbreak of ASF or avian influenza occurs and the entire herd has to be slaughtered, cash flow disruptions arise, and if in this situation the company cannot receive the necessary additional financing, it will find itself in a very difficult situation.

How was Agroinvestor's rating compiled?

The data on pork and chicken producers collected by the National Union of Pig Breeders and the Russian Poultry Union are taken as the basis. Since the production of other types of meat and poultry in the country is less developed, the list for participation in the rating was formed from the 20 most large companies for the production of pork and broilers.

It should be noted that many enterprises are developing both poultry and pig breeding at the same time, and they can also raise cattle. However, their volumes could be too small to be included in the lists of the NSS and Rosptitssoyuz. Therefore, at the next stage, using open sources, a clarification was carried out on the presence of enterprises on the market and the approximate volume of their production. According to the data published by companies on their own websites and open sources, the leading enterprises of the Russian beef and turkey market were analyzed.

Then questionnaires were sent to all the enterprises on the preliminary list and the companies about which it was believed that their production volumes could also compete for the title of “the main butcher of the country”. In the questionnaires, questions were asked about volumes in carcass weight, but most enterprises sent information on live weight. Therefore, Agroinvestor himself calculated the indicators that correspond to the slaughter weight. In the calculations, the following coefficients were used: 0.82 for poultry; 0.78 for pork; 0.58 for bovine meat. Such coefficients differ from the industry averages (0.75; 0.77; 0.57, respectively), but it is for them federal Service state statistics made calculations for agricultural enterprises in 2015.

Enterprises that did not provide their indicators were evaluated on the basis of open sources: data on official websites (annual reports, news); documents that were published on public disclosure resources; articles in the media; industry union information; expert opinions, etc.

The resulting numbers were rounded to tenths. If the volume of production of at least one type of poultry or meat was calculated according to the source in the market, a footnote “estimate” was placed in the table.

What are the strategies of the leaders of the meat market?

The Russian leaders in meat production do not have a unified strategy. Daria Snitko, an expert of the Public Council under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, believes that raw material enterprises selling products in the form of half carcasses and semi-finished products will mainly target the regional markets of Russia and export meat to foreign countries... And organizations dealing with different types of meat will begin to invest more efforts in processing and developing their own brand. They will be guided by the strategies of American and Brazilian companies. Such enterprises will be able to significantly influence the Russian meat market, develop the sphere of ready meals and semi-finished products, establish successful cooperation with companies working in the region. Catering and the hotel industry.

08/09/2017 19:20 "Moscow refrigeration plant No. 14" (Moscow)- “Agroinvestor” for the first time has compiled a rating of “the main butchers of the state”. It includes 20 enterprises that have produced a total of 4 million tons of meat in slaughter weight (unless otherwise stated, it will always mean slaughter weight). They accounted for 42% of meat produced in the Russian Federation, and 56% in agricultural organizations.

Three Russian leaders - over 400 thousand tons per year

The TOP-3 includes companies that have significantly surpassed their competitors. Together, they procured a little less than 1.6 million tons of meat, or 39% of the total volume of the TOP-20.

Cherkizovo Group is the winner among meat producers

In 2015, the enterprises belonging to the Cherkizovo group produced 573 thousand tons of chicken and 169 thousand tons of pork in live weight, or only 601.7 thousand tons in slaughter. The calculations were made by Agroinvestor employees, based on the data provided by the company. Thus, the winner takes the top line, with a gap of over 75 thousand tons.

The large holding includes 8 poultry farms located in the Central and Volga regions, their revenue amounted to 44.6 billion rubles. And 15 complexes for the production of pork brought Cherkizovo 16.6 billion. The group of companies is building a pig-breeding cluster in Voronezh and Lipetsk regions... Investments in it amount to 9 billion rubles, and the capacity will be 70 thousand tons in live weight. By 2018, the holding plans to double its pork production capacity. And in the fall of 2016, an enterprise with a design capacity of 50 thousand tons of live weight per year "Tambovskaya turkey" should start working. The ambitions of the group of companies will most likely not allow other meat producers to throw Cherkizovo off the pedestal.

Prioskolye took second place

The "Silver medalist" was the Prioskolye company, which is the largest poultry producer in the state. In 2015, poultry farms produced 642.2 thousand tons of broilers in live weight: in the Belgorod region - 451 thousand tons, in the Tambov region - 121.9 thousand tons, in the Altai Territory - 69.3 thousand tons. The total volume amounted to 526.6 thousand tons in carcass weight. The holding's production sites are operating at full design capacity, and sales of poultry meat amounted to 516.4 thousand tons.

Holding "Miratorg" is in third position

438.9 thousand tons of meat were produced by Miratorg. The group of companies is the largest pork and beef producer in Russia. In 2015, the holding procured 322.8 thousand tons of pork, 40.5 thousand tons of beef, 75.6 thousand tons of chicken. Miratorg plans to increase its volumes - at processing plants the output of poultry meat will be increased by 1.5 thousand heads per hour, which will make it possible to produce 117.8 thousand tons of broilers in 2016. In addition, the holding will begin to increase the segment of beef meat. And the organization is ready to invest over 100 billion rubles in the development of pork production. A new agricultural complex will be opened in the Kursk region. It will unite a grain company, factories for the production of compound feed and a modern high-tech plant for slaughtering pigs and processing their meat. The planned capacity of the plant is over 4 million carcasses per year. If the holding's ambitions are realized, then it will be able to come close to the leader, and, perhaps, compete for the first place among meat processors.

The second three - over 200 thousand tons of meat per year

The gap between the enterprises that won prizes is less than 100 thousand tons. But the difference between the third and fourth places exceeds this value. However, all companies included in the TOP-6 produced over 200 thousand tons of meat in 2015.

Agro-industrial holding "BEZRK-Belgrankorm" took the fourth place

In 2015, the organization produced 294.4 thousand tons of broilers and 69.6 thousand tons of pork. Compared to 2014, BEZRK-Belgrankorm increased its indicators in live weight by 17 and 41%, respectively. According to the calculations of "Agroinvestor", the total volume in carcass weight is 295.7 thousand tons. In 2016, the agricultural holding plans to increase the production of poultry to at least 347 thousand tons in live weight, and the production of pork - up to 76 thousand tons. BEZRK-Belgrankorm also has dairy cattle, but the trail volume of beef production is unknown. However, it is obvious that this indicator would still not move the holding's position in the rating.

The group of agricultural enterprises "Resource" is on the fifth line

In 2015, the agro-industrial company produced 330 thousand tons of broiler in live weight, or approximately 270.6 thousand tons in slaughter. Resource plans to increase poultry production: in 2016 it wants to process 420 thousand tons in live weight, and in 2017 - 550 thousand tons.

At the moment, the agricultural holding is engaged in the construction of a vertically integrated poultry complex. The new enterprise will be located in the Tambov region, the production capacity will be 150 thousand tons. This project was included in the funding program with government support in 2015. In 2017, work should be completed on the construction of a hatchery, 7 sites for growing broiler chickens, a poultry processing plant and a feed mill. The total investment in this project is 9 billion rubles.

Charoen Pokpand Foods ranked sixth

The Russian subsidiary of the Thai company Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods), part of the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group) conglomerate, completes the number of meat producers that have processed more than 200 thousand tons. The poultry farm "Severnaya", purchased from the Dutch organization Agro Invest Brinky, produced 195 thousand tons of broilers. Pig factories produced a total of 40 thousand tons in live weight or 31.2 thousand tons in slaughter weight.

CP Foods owns almost 76% of the RBPI (Russia Baltic Pork Invest) group, which manages Pravdinskoye Pig Production in the Kaliningrad Region and the NNPP LLC pig breeding complex in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. RBPI has plans for 2015-2018 to build 7 pig farms to increase slaughter pigs to 2 million per year. The company's long-term plans are to occupy 6% of the Russian pork market. Thai investors also mentioned an increase in agricultural production in the Russian Federation.

Meat producers who have produced more than 100 thousand tons per year

From 7th to 14th position are the companies that produced over 100 thousand tons of meat products in 2015.

Agroholding "White Bird" is in 7th place

According to the Rosptitsesoyuz, the holding's enterprises in 2015 produced 236 thousand tons of broiler in live weight or 193.5 thousand tons in slaughter weight. These data differ from the information provided by the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies - 240 thousand tons and 196.8 thousand tons, respectively. "White Bird" did not specify the number of products produced. Since 3.3 thousand tons would still not change the position of the agricultural holding, when preparing the rating, the staff of Agroinvestor took into account the indicator of the Russian Poultry Union.

The group of companies "Prodo" took 8th place

The results of the company amounted to 192.4 thousand tons. According to industry unions, the Omsk Bacon joint-stock company, which is part of the holding, produced 44.8 thousand tons of products in 2015, poultry farms procured 192 thousand tons in live weight. Now the Prodo Group of Companies is working on expanding the capacity of the pig-breeding complex from the planned 50 thousand to 70 thousand tons per year and the Siberian poultry farm from 45 thousand to 70 thousand in live weight.

The holding has a herd of dairy cattle: 4 thousand heads, according to the official website, of which 2.15 thousand are dairy cows. The volume of by-product production of meat is not exactly known, but to compensate for the lag from the 6th place in 1.1 thousand tons, 1.9 thousand tons of livestock need to be released in live weight. And this is hardly achievable with the indicated number of dairy cows.

Agrarian holding "Akashevo" is on the 9th line of the rating

According to the Rosptitssoyuz, Akashevo produced 203 thousand tons of poultry meat in live weight per year or, according to Agroinvestor's calculations, 166.5 thousand tons in slaughter. In 2015, the agricultural holding received project financing with government support for the construction of a poultry complex with a design capacity of 17.3 thousand tons. Its cost is about 8.4 billion rubles.

Rusargo Group of Companies is on the 10th position

According to the NSS, the livestock breeding complexes of the agricultural holding processed 195.2 thousand tons of pork in live weight, which corresponds to 152.3 thousand tons in slaughter. Among the pig breeding enterprises, the organization took the second position and received 6% of the Russian market. The planned production capacity of the companies located in the Belgorod and Tambov regions and owned by the agricultural holding is 198 thousand tons of pigs. The proceeds of the Rusargo Group of Companies received from the sale of meat amounted to 18.1 billion rubles. EBITDA of the organization - 7.7 billion rubles.

In 2016, Rusargo plans to produce 206 thousand tons of meat. And under the project financing program with state support, the agricultural holding will build a pig-breeding cluster in Primorye. First, 10 complexes with a capacity of 79 thousand tons in live weight per year will be erected. The total investment will amount to 15.8 billion rubles. According to the calculations of the agricultural holding, the complexes will reach their design capacity in 2022. And due to this, the company's EBITDA will increase by 10.1 billion.

Agro-industrial company "Agro-Belogorye" on the 11th position

The holding produced 162.9 thousand tons of pork and 0.7 thousand tons of beef in live weight (127.5 thousand tons and 0.4 thousand tons in slaughter, respectively). The design capacity of the pig-breeding complexes "Agro-Belogorye" is 136 thousand tons per year, therefore, in 2015 they developed 19.6% more than their capacity.

In 2016, the agricultural holding amounted to production program, in which a slight decrease in production volumes was planned. But in fact, the indicators of the first two quarters are 5.8% higher than the planned values. During the first six months of operation, the companies belonging to the holding produced 83.7 thousand tons of pork in live weight, i.e. 122% of the design capacity. Agro-Belogorye will build up its business and invest 9.7 billion rubles in its development. This money will be used to build a compound feed plant and 5 new pig-breeding complexes with a capacity of 54 thousand tons. This will significantly increase production volumes - up to 217 thousand tons per year.

JSC firm "Agrocomplex" named after N.I. Tkacheva is on the 12th place in the rating

The company, which was founded by the father of the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, processed 97.3 thousand tons of broiler in live weight in 2015, which is 79.8 thousand tons in slaughter. The report of "Agrocomplex" also says that 10.14 thousand tons of cattle meat were produced. Since “Agroinvestor” did not manage to get clarification on what kind of weight it was, then in the calculations of the rating the indicators were taken for a lethal output. The same was done with pork meat, which, according to the company, produced 11.5 thousand tons. It should be noted that the indicators of "Kuban Bacon", which became part of the holding only at the end of 2015, were not summarized in the organization's report to the total volume. But according to a source close to Akgrokompleks, the total pork production, including Kuban Bacon, is approximately 47 thousand tons in live weight (36.7 thousand tons in slaughter). The company did not give answers to Agroinvestor's questions, so the source data was used for the rating.

Agro-industrial holding "KoPitania" is located on the 13th line

The company did not provide its own data on its volumes, therefore, when compiling the rating, NSS data were taken that the agricultural holding produced 93.2 thousand tons of pork in live weight (72.7 thousand tons in slaughter), and information from a source close to the company, on the processing of 50 thousand tons of broilers in live weight (41 thousand tons in slaughter). Consequently, the total volume amounted to 113.7 thousand tons.

JSC "Siberian Agrarian Group" came to the 14th place

"Siberian Agrarian Group" also managed to step over the 100-thousandth milestone: the company produced 104.8 thousand tons of meat. Organizations belonging to the agricultural holding produced 77.3 thousand tons of pork and 33.5 thousand tons of chicken in live weight. The revenue of the agricultural enterprise from the sale of meat in 2015 amounted to 10.6 billion rubles excluding VAT, and the net profit - 1.98 billion.

Final places in the ranking

From 15th to 20th position are meat producers, which produced less than 100 thousand tons.

CJSC "Agrosila Group" is on the 15th line of the rating

The Chelny-Broiler poultry farm, which is a member of the agricultural holding, procured 84.5 thousand tons of chicken in 2015, and livestock farms produced 4 thousand tons of cattle meat. Thus, Agrosila Group produced 88.5 thousand tons of meat. The company earned 9.8 billion rubles for the sale of the broiler, and the organization's net profit amounted to over 1.5 billion rubles.

In 2016, the holding plans to procure 86.1 thousand tons of poultry. If you look at the work in the first six months, you can see that the plan was overfulfilled by 4%. The company wants to produce about 6 thousand tons of beef.

At the moment, Agrosila Group is building the Chulman technopolis and a chicken processing complex with a capacity of 144 tons per day. When the projects start to work, the holding will produce 220 thousand tons of broilers per year. A representative of Agrosila Group said that the company's total investment in poultry farming is 14 billion rubles. The money is distributed as follows: 9.7 billion falls on bank loans, 3 billion - on the agricultural holding's own funds, 1.7 billion - on state support from the regional and federal budgets. The last amount is spent on infrastructure development. The organization is also building a feedlot for 5 thousand bull calves, which will make it possible to obtain 3 thousand tons of beef per year. It should be built in 2016. The company plans to create its own workshop for slaughtering cattle.

Zdorovaya Ferma Group of Companies took 16th place

The agro-industrial association Zdorovaya Ferma, whose assets were transferred to Rusgrain Holding in 2015, procured 87 thousand tons of meat: 75 thousand tons of chicken and 12 thousand tons of pork. For the sale of products, the organization received 9.7 billion rubles (7.7 billion for a broiler and 2 billion for pork). In 2016, the agricultural holding will invest about 400 million rubles in business development. 200 million are intended for the repair and modernization of the Argayashskaya and Kunashakskaya poultry farms. 60 million are invested in the Rodnikovsky pig-breeding complex. 100 million into deep processing for the “Healthy Farm Delicacies” division, which will allow to achieve the release of 1.5 thousand tons of products per month.

The group of companies "AgroPromkomplektatsiya" is on the 17th position

The agricultural holding has prepared 102.13 thousand tons of pork in live weight or 79.7 thousand tons in slaughter. In addition, the company is developing dairy farming. It is not known exactly how much beef was prepared, but the probability that its weight will be more than 7.3 thousand tons (which corresponds to the difference between 16 and 17 lines of the list) is close to zero. Consequently, dairy cattle does not affect their place in the ranking.

Now "AgroPromkomplektatsiya" is completing the construction of a complex for processing meat in the Kursk region. Its capacity will be 300 heads per hour. The enterprise will be able to produce a varied assortment - from half carcasses to deeply processed products. Raw materials for the complex will be taken from 5 pig farms located in the region. In addition, 5 more sites will be commissioned in 2016, which will reach their full design capacity in 2017. According to NSS calculations, by 2020 the agricultural holding will be able to produce 162 thousand tons of pork in live weight per year.

Agro group "Good Deed" took 18th place

The company is part of the Sphere Group. In 2015, the holding's organizations produced 73.9 thousand tons of meat: 72.6 thousand tons of chicken, 1.3 thousand tons of pork, 85 tons of beef. The total sales volume exceeded 15 billion rubles. A representative of the agro group said that at the Yubileinoye meat processing complex there are 2 lines for slaughtering poultry: for 9 thousand broilers per hour and for 3 thousand heads per hour for parent livestock. The design capacity of the organization makes it possible to process 90 thousand tons of chicken per year. 9.5 billion rubles were invested in the construction of the complex and treatment facilities.

In 2016, Good Deed will launch new sites for parent stock and broiler feeding, which will make it possible to increase the volume of poultry up to 120 thousand tons in live weight, pork and beef - up to 6 thousand tons of each species in live weight. It is also planned to launch special equipment in processing workshops. The agro group also plans to develop its own retail chain of stores in the Volga region.

The company "SITNO" is on the 19th place

Agroholding "SITNO", according to the Rosptitsesoyuz, produced 89 thousand tons of broiler in live weight, which, according to calculations, gives 73 thousand tons in slaughter. The company did not specify its production volumes.

Agro-industrial holding "KOMOS GROUP" completes TOP-20

Until the last check carried out by Agroinvestor, the company was not considered as the largest player. But after recalculating the indicators, it turned out that the pig farms of the agricultural holding and the Udmurtskaya Poultry Farm procured 41.5 thousand tons of pork and 44 thousand tons of poultry in live weight. This corresponds to 68.4 thousand tons in slaughter. "Velikie Luki Meat Processing Plant", according to the NSS, produced 85.2 thousand tons of pork in live weight (66.5 thousand tons in slaughter), which is almost 2 thousand tons less than that of KOMOS GROUP.

Expert forecasts

Daniil Khotko, an expert at the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies, believes that the top three will remain the same in the near future. A group of agricultural enterprises "Resource" can approach them by increasing production and "Charoen Pokpand Foods" if it acquires new assets. The latter company is ready to invest in the Russian agro-industrial sector; it has the financial resources to buy agricultural enterprises. Therefore, it can become the leading meat producer in the country. Daniil also believes that Rusargo Group of Companies will significantly increase its volumes, Velikolukskiy Myasokombinat will increase production, which will give him the opportunity to enter the TOP-20 of the rating. There are still good opportunities to be included in the list at the Eurodon agro-industrial holding. Poultry farms such as Oktyabrskaya, Ravis, Reftinskaya, according to the expert, will not be able to become leaders and will remain at the regional level.

Although he claims that in the meat market in the Russian Federation, there is great competition among broiler and pork producers. Small players leave the market, and production is concentrated in large agricultural holdings. As an example, Daniel cites the purchase of Tatmit Agro by KOMOS GROUP. Most likely, some organizations will leave the meat sector in the face of overproduction. A similar situation is observed in the United States - there are 3 enterprises harvesting 60% of the meat in the country.

Daria Snitko, head of the Gazprombank Center for Economic Forecasting, also notes the high concentration of meat production in the Russian Federation. But in the opinion of a specialist, organizations have room to grow. For example, the 5 largest pig-breeding complexes in the Russian Federation harvest 25% of the meat, while in the USA - more than 70%. Or, the largest Brazilian company accounted for 15% of the country's meat in 2015, while the Russian one accounted for less than 10%. Daria thinks that the rating may change significantly in a few years. However, this will only happen through mergers and acquisitions, not production growth.

Timur Nigmatullin, an analyst at Finam, also agrees that now the meat industry is awaiting mergers and acquisitions, as well as a reduction in costs due to a synergistic effect. Meat producers included in the TOP-5 are significantly ahead of their competitors in terms of volume, so the leaders are unlikely to change. According to Timur, it is around them that the consolidation will take place.

Though he does not share such views. He believes that not only M&A activity will be observed, but also organic growth. As an argument, the expert cites data on pork production: according to the results of the first six months of 2016, they increased by 15.5%. The reason for this is the investments already made in the sector, but one should not forget about new projects in the sector. But in 2017, the pace of expansion will slow down, as the domestic market approaches saturation, and there are no clear prospects for exports.

Daniel believes that new businesses are unlikely to start developing chicken and pork projects from scratch. The situation will change only if Russian meat becomes competitive in the world. Then there will be expediency in the construction of new complexes. And now it is more profitable to purchase an already working enterprise and implement it in the existing business processes of the agricultural holding.

Although he believes that until 2018 the meat industry in the Russian Federation will also grow due to a greater reduction in imports. However, beef meat may become an exception - Miratorg and large organizations plan to increase production, but the share of personal subsidiary plots will begin to decline. At least he thinks that 100% import substitution in this segment is impossible. Since 2017, the income of citizens is expected to increase, so meat consumption will increase. Daniel believes that the maximum of 2013 (75 kg per person per year) will not be reached, but even a return to it can significantly help meat producers. Broiler will remain the leader in the consumption structure, but beef will decrease its positions. The expert notes that this is a normal process in conditions when the income of the population does not grow. In many developed countries, beef belongs to the premium segment.

Snitko says that Gazprombank's Center for Economic Forecasting believes that by 2020 meat consumption in the Russian Federation will grow by 6-8%. This growth may become higher, but the cattle industry still lacks projects that will provide prices adequate to demand. Daria believes that with the development of pork and chicken exports, Russian organizations will be able to better integrate into the world market, which will attract new foreign investors. The expert thinks that already in 2017 the Russian Federation can become a net exporter of broilers.

Nigmatulin believes that due to low prices for food and the expected recovery in consumer demand, consumption will increase sharply. According to the expert, the greatest demand will be for poultry meat.

The independence and sovereignty of any country directly depends on the size and combat capability of its army. After collapse of the USSR in all the republics that gained independence, their own armed forces were created. This article provides information about which army is in Uzbekistan.

Peculiarities

It is known that this state did not enter into any interstate armed conflict. The acquisition of combat experience by the military was carried out through numerous clashes with terrorist and extremist groups. Uzbekistan adheres to a neutral foreign policy course. His army was formed exclusively for defensive purposes.

For many military experts, and even more so for ordinary people far from the army, state of the art The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan are not entirely clear. The country's Defense Ministry prefers to keep the public in the dark about the current state of affairs in the army. This article outlines only some of the publicly available facts.

History

Officially, the army of Uzbekistan was formed in January 1992. As in many former republics of the CIS, a rich heritage remained from the USSR for its development: various army equipment, military bases and other auxiliary elements.

In 1990, a massive outflow of officers was observed in the army of the Uzbek SSR. Its percentage of the total number of military personnel did not exceed 0.6%. In 1991, the General Staff resolved this issue by creating an effective system for training officers. Specialists have developed a special educational methodology. Its main thesis was that the army of Uzbekistan should develop and move forward in stages, while eliminating a radical break with the Soviet past. Thus, anyone who believes that the armed forces in this state emerged in 1992 are mistaken. In fact, the Uzbek army is the successor to the former Soviet army.

What the Uzbek Armed Forces faced

In my time Soviet Union was known for a global vision of problems, therefore, when forming military units, he used traditional approaches. The Uzbek army abandoned this method, for this it had to reorient itself a little.

The threat to the new state came from drug traffickers, extremists and terrorists who entered the country from Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Controlling the borders with these states turned out to be very problematic, since most of the protected areas were inaccessible mountainous areas.

Mobile units patrolling the border were cut off from the main group of the Uzbek army. The military corps for the fight against terrorism, which appeared on the most problematic sections of the border, as well as battalions of the MTR, made it possible to radically change the situation for the better.

To support them firepower, the military command has allocated helicopter technology, with the help of which combat operations are now carried out quickly and efficiently.

The military river forces of Uzbekistan (Termez river flotilla) are subordinate to the State Border Protection Committee. The country is the second “most continental” country in the world after Liechtenstein: it has no access to the sea and it does not border on any state that has access to the World Ocean.

The river fleet of Uzbekistan today counteracts drug traffickers and prevents Islamic fundamentalism from penetrating deep into the country from Afghanistan. After gaining independence, Uzbekistan became the owner of the river border troops on the Amu Darya River. When carrying out their service, the border guards use the Bumblebee artillery boats and three armored tankers inherited from the Soviet Navy. As of today, their operational resource has been exhausted. With the aim of extending it for another twenty years, at the beginning of 2000, repair work was carried out on the naval equipment. The US Department of State has allocated $ 5.6 billion to modernize Uzbekistan's military flotilla. In 2005, the fleet of Uzbekistan became the owner of the Jaihun and Saihun boats. The ship ranks in the country's navy remained the same as in the USSR Navy. Emergency service here lasts for one year.

Conclusion

The government of the country provides journalists with information on the number of military equipment, which is impossible to verify. In this regard, according to military experts, it is rather difficult to judge the combat effectiveness of the Uzbek army. However, ordinary citizens do not consider this state of affairs a problem.

The Ministry of Defense of this state conducts regular military exercises. A well-trained army makes the Uzbeks feel completely safe.

Victory in the Great Patriotic War is a heroic achievement of all the peoples of the USSR. The fighters from Central Asia... Uzbeks, Turkmens, Tajiks, Kyrgyz and Kazakhs, like residents of other parts of the country, fought bravely against fascism. Soldiers and officers of military units formed in the Central Asian republics have done a lot heroic deeds, which is impossible to forget about.

Kazakhs

According to the data of the 1939 All-Union Population Census, the population of the Kazakh SSR before the Great Patriotic War slightly exceeded 6 million people. Of these, about 1 million 200 thousand soldiers and officers became direct participants in hostilities. Another 3.5 thousand Kazakhs took part in the partisan movement.
About 589 thousand inhabitants of the republic were killed in bloody battles. That is, almost every second of those called up to the front did not return home.
Kazakhs took part in many military operations. Together with comrades in arms, they fought on the Kursk Bulge and on the streets of besieged Stalingrad, did not allow the Nazis to break through the defenses of Leningrad, and then drove the Nazis from Soviet soil to Berlin, consistently liberating Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic States and other countries of Eastern Europe.
One of the most striking victories won by Soviet troops during the war was heroic defense Moscow, entrusted with the 316th rifle division commanded by General Ivan Panfilov (1893-1941). This military unit, formed mainly of Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and Uzbeks, stopped the German tank offensive along the Volokolamsk highway. The feat of the Panfilov heroes is still being studied by young cadets and officers from many countries of the world.
Hero ranks Soviet Union were awarded about five hundred Kazakhs, more than a hundred residents of the republic became full holders of the Order of Glory. Among the famous war heroes are two Kazakh girls: machine gunner Manshuk Mametova (1922-1943) and sniper Aliya Moldagulova (1925-1944), who destroyed more than 90 German fascist invaders. Mortally wounded near the town of Novosokolniki, the girl rushed into hand-to-hand combat with German soldiers and officers.
Pilot Nurken Abdirov (1919-1942) made 16 sorties in his Il-2. His plane was hit by enemies in the area of the Rostov farm Konkov. Realizing that death is inevitable, the pilot directed the burning Il-2 into the enemy tank column. The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded posthumously.

Kyrgyz

At the beginning of the war, the population of the Kyrgyz SSR was slightly below 1.5 million people, of whom 365 thousand residents of the republic went to the front. They fought as part of the legendary Panfilov division, and traveled from Stalingrad to Berlin. Liberating the USSR and the countries of Eastern Europe from fascism, about 115 thousand Kyrgyz laid down their heads.
Among the residents of the republic who went to the front, thousands of people were awarded various orders and medals, of which 73 soldiers and officers received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. More than 20 Kyrgyz became full holders of the Order of Glory. Many have received their awards posthumously.
For example, Daishenkul Shopokov (1915-1941) is one of 28 Panfilov heroes who stopped the Nazi offensive along the Volokolamsk highway. He died at the Dubosekovo junction of the Moscow region, destroying 18 enemy tanks with his comrades.
And Cholponbai Tuleberdiev (1922-1942) died a heroic death near the village of Selyavnoe-Vtoye Voronezh region... The ferry Soviet troops enemy bunkers interfered across the Don, from which almost continuous machine-gun fire was fired. The wounded soldier of the 160th rifle division, having used up all the grenades, rushed to the enemy embrasure, covering it with his body. His self-sacrifice allowed his comrades to seize a strategically important foothold.
This feat in six months will be repeated by another Hero of the Soviet Union - Alexander Matrosov (1924-1943).
The fate of Major General Dair Asanov (1922-2009) is also noteworthy. As a sergeant of the 11th artillery division, he distinguished himself especially in the battle near the village of Pyatnitskoe in the Kharkov region. On March 23, 1943, in four hours of unequal battle, this warrior destroyed from his gun: 40 submachine gunners; 8 tanks and 6 armored cars of the enemy.

Tajiks

289 thousand inhabitants of the Tajik SSR were called up during the Great Patriotic War into the ranks of the Red Army, another 45 thousand people went to labor front from where many also ended up in military units and formations. About 100 thousand soldiers and officers of them died. This was a very heavy loss for the population of the republic, whose total number before the war was about 1.5 million people.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded to 68 residents of the Tajik SSR. More than 55 thousand soldiers were awarded for their courage displayed at the front, of which 21 are full holders of the Order of Glory.
One of the heroes who glorified their people in the fight against fascism is Domullo Azizov (1913-1943). The commander of the machine-gun crew of the 69th Infantry Division was killed during the liberation of Belarus from the German invaders. As part of the landing group, the junior sergeant crossed the Dnieper and was the first to rush into the enemy trench. Domullo destroyed the enemy soldiers who were there, throwing a grenade. Then he turned a German machine gun and opened fire on the Nazis. This unexpected and bold maneuver made it possible to ensure the crossing of the Dnieper by the main forces of the Red Army.
Ismoil Khamzaaliev (1921-1943) - another Hero of the Soviet Union, he performed a feat at the Kursk Bulge. The commander of the gun crew did not allow enemy tanks to break through the defenses. When his gun mount was knocked out, the sergeant opened fire from another gun located nearby. His crew was killed. The seriously wounded hero continued to fire, knocking out enemy tanks and bleeding.

Turkmens

Judging by the data of the All-Union census of 1939, the population Turkmen SSR at the beginning of the war slightly exceeded 1 million 252 thousand people. Of these, about 300 thousand residents of the republic went to the front. About 86 thousand soldiers did not return home.
In Turkmenistan, the 87th and 88th separate rifle brigades, the 97th and 98th cavalry divisions were formed. Their soldiers and officers took part in all well-known battles of the Great Patriotic War. They fought on the Kursk Bulge, near Moscow, in the Caucasus, in Stalingrad. The countries of Eastern Europe were liberated from the Nazis.
Military orders and medals were awarded to 78 thousand soldiers, and 112 Turkmens received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
One of the servicemen awarded this honor was Durdy Kurban (1917-1976). The squad leader of the 176th Infantry Division was serving on the border between the USSR and Romania when the war broke out. During a tense battle with superior enemy forces, the warrior lost his arm, it was torn off by the burst of a shell. But this did not stop the hero. Bleeding to death, he raised his squad into battle, triumphant.
And the cavalry squadron, which was headed by Lieutenant Annaklych Ataev (1912-1943), in two days of intense battles managed to repel 7 German attacks, in which 16 tanks participated. Moreover, the Red Army men had only firearms and grenades with them. This happened not far from the Rostov city of Belaya Kalitva in the battle for the dominant height 79.9, which the Nazis were never able to recapture. The cavalry squadron destroyed about 300 Nazis, three German tanks and an armored vehicle.

Uzbeks

On the eve of the war, almost 6.5 million people lived in the Uzbek SSR. In 1941-1945, about 420 thousand inhabitants of the republic were killed at the front, and only in the ranks Soviet army about 1.5 million Uzbeks were drafted.
338 Heroes of the Soviet Union were spawned by this ancient land, 53 more soldiers during the Great Patriotic War were awarded the Order of Glory of all three degrees. 120 thousand Uzbeks received various military awards.
As part of the legendary Panfilov division, the inhabitants of the republic defended Moscow. They fought in Stalingrad, in the Caucasus, took part in the battles for Smolensk, Kiev, Odessa, Sevastopol, liberated Poland, Hungary and other countries from the Nazi invaders.
In the Uzbek SSR, the 21st and 44th cavalry and 258th rifle divisions, as well as the 90th and 94th separate rifle brigades were formed.
The commander of the sapper department of the 13th Guards Rifle Corps, Satym Nurmetov (1925-1994), performed his feat on April 7, 1945 near Kaliningrad (formerly Konigsberg). The guard sergeant and four sappers, whom he commanded, bypassed the positions of the enemy artillerymen from the rear and, as a result of a surprise attack, captured 25 Nazis, also taking possession of the enemy's guns. Then the soldiers of the Red Army turned the muzzles of the German guns against the enemies who tried to recapture the lost positions. The Nazis did not succeed, Satym Nurmetov and his fighters held out until the arrival of reinforcements.
Another of the many Uzbek heroes is Dzhurakhan Usmanov (1923-1945). Assistant platoon commander of the 69th Infantry Division participated in the crossing of the Sozh River in the Gomel Region on September 29, 1943. Together with the platoon, the senior sergeant repelled more than 30 enemy attacks. When only 9 fighters remained, they ran out of ammunition. In this seemingly desperate situation Jurakhan proposed an extremely bold decision - to collect unexploded grenades and cartridges on the battlefield. The soldiers dared to take such a risk. They had enough ammunition to wait for reinforcements.

This is only a small part of all the feats performed by soldiers and officers from Central Asia on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.
